The stories were enjoyable and the selection was perfect to introduce the characters to a new reader of the series. Unfortunately the collection itself wasn’t put together all that well with numerous typos that were distracting and interrupted the flow of reading

Mysteries for The little Grey Cells

“Heart failure, it explains nothing! I have yet to meet a corpse whose heart it still beats.”

This large collection includes two of Agatha's bigger mysteries, and 25 of her short stories. I had previously read several of them, including The Mysterious Affair at Styles, one of the bigger two. It is an old favorite. But, I found I liked the other large mystery even better... The Murder on the Links. Among the short cases, I most enjoyed The Case of the Missing Will, The Clue of the Chocolate Box, The Adventure of the Italian Nobleman, and The Lost Mine. But, as Agatha and Poirot would say:

“Two people rarely see the same thing.”-The Murder on the Links

I have enjoyed these immensely, over the last ten days, in between other books. I found the hardback at Barnes & Noble a few months back. So, many books, so little time.

“It would mean a good film, the story that you have recounted to me there - but it bears no sort of resemblance to everyday life.'
'I admit that I haven't gone into all the details, but-'
'You have gone farther - you have ignored them magnificently.”
― The Murder on the Links

A good collection of Christie's (and Poirot's) debut novels, as well as an assortment of short stories. The novels are, like all her works, intriguing and exciting. The short stories are similarly enjoyable, if a bit rushed feeling.

The collection though, is somewhat poorly edited, especially toward the end, where typos abound and in some cases even become distracting.

While the mysteries are enjoyable, Christie's writing style doesn't hold up.

Agatha Christie's work may not be great art, but it's classic and lots of fun, especially anything with Hercule Poirot! However, this edition was FULL of typos. I suspect it was created by a computer, the way when you copy the text of a PDF, it misreads some letters.
