Gritty, fast-moving intrigue of corruption married with violent crime... a great read...

Any business man or woman who's been around a while will easily recognise the elements of corruption that underpin this fast-moving yarn... the main characters don't really exist in real life... or do they ?.. take the greed and stealth of high-placed government officials, mix in top-ranking law enforcement personnel dealing on the wrong side of the criminal line, add a range of English, Irish and other big-time, violent, criminal players, drum up really hard, hard-assed special forces types on both sides of the legal divide, light the blue touch paper and stand back... through no desire of his own, Sam Duncan, an ex-special ops man, now a part-time lay preacher, is sucked in to the hunt for his kidnapped investigative journalist sister... the field rustiness is cast off with ease as he deals with confrontation after confrontation with forces desperate to silence his sister permanently, and through that, silence Sam also... enough twists and action scenes keep this novel spanking along at a great pace... I can't wait to read the ensuing work by Mac Logan... a great find and an equally superb read...
