I've been writing for a few years now, having studied screenwriting at a well known film school. I've always loved creating romantic stories and wanting to try my hand at penning a novel, I decided to turn one of my screenplays into a book. HER PERFECT REVENGE was born.

But because I come from a screenwriting background, I tend to write my books more like movies. As you read my novels, you'll find yourself 'watching' that film playing inside your head while at the same time, feeling all of the emotions that my crazy characters are going through. My first and most important goal as a writer is always that I want you to have FUN with my stories. I hope that I can accomplish that for you!

I also like to write in different genres besides romantic comedy. I've written a romantic suspense novel and a murder mystery amateur detective one. If you've enjoyed reading my writing style, I hope you'll give the other genres a chance. Who knows? You might have lots of fun reading those too.

HER PERFECT REVENGE: A LAUGH-OUT-LOUD ROMANTIC COMEDY has also been released as a Japanese manga novel by Ohzora Publishing. Illustrations were done by artist Hiromi Kobayashi.

WHY ROMEO HATES JULIET: A LAUGH-OUT-LOUD ROMANTIC COMEDY is my second book.

SIN & SAVAGE: A ROMANTIC SUSPENSE THRILLER is my third.

My most recent novel is THE MYSTERY OF THE DOLL'S EYES: A MRS. PIDGEON MURDER MYSTERY. It's the first standalone book in the new Mrs. Pidgeon murder mysteries that will soon become a series.

I've also released THE SCREENPLAY version of HER PERFECT REVENGE as a separate standalone ebook.

TROUBLEMAKERS: 3 BOOK BOX SET is a collection of three of my romance novels all in one set.

"Can you save me, little one? Or will I be damned to hell fire for eternity?"

Tori is best described as
Miss Twenty-seven-going-on-one-hundred-and-twenty-seven! Where’s your sense of adventure, your joie de vivre, your ‘let’s-take-a-chance-and-see-what-happens’ approach to life? You’re turning into a dried-up, crusty, old prune.”

and that is coming from her Nana Estelle, one who smokes like a chimney, swears like a sailor and lives life with no sense of consequence. Her Nana needs her help finding her new beau who is in trouble with some bad people, but in Tori's mind Joe is just out for her Nana's poor defenseless money. With her own reasons behind why she wants to find Joe, she sets off to Las Vegas, but not without some help from Nana's appointed bodyguard, Savage Monroe.
In a flash, his dark eyes turned stormy, angry at her for making him feel this way —because compared to her, he was a no-good, worthless, piece-of-shit.

Savage is not a man Tori feels comfortable being around or seen with, she knows he lives his life on the gray scale of black and white. Not only does she not understand his world, but the way he makes her feel, the way he can so easily ruffle her feathers just unnerves her. To her he may be one man, but the man he chooses to live his life as isn't one she can easily accept.
“Fight for me, Tori— please,” he whispered in a tortured, strained voice , begging her to not give up on him, even if he was the scum of the earth.

Sometimes love isn't enough, and even though walking away from him is the hardest thing she will ever have to do. How deep is Savage in and how closely are his ties to Joe and the trouble he is running from?

Sin & Savage was an interesting fade-to-black-non-biker-mc read. Mind you I had some pre-conceived thoughts on what I was going to get, and for the most part it did deliver, one thing that drew me in was Nana Estelle, she is a hoot and I always had a thing for meddling family members. But my issue was with the heroine, she was a little too judgmental for me, it's kind of hard to describe but she really was uptight to the end. She softened up a bit to Savage but as soon as she is reminded of who he really is, it was like a switch and she made him feel like shit. It just didn't give me the warm and fuzzies to really fall for their story. I would still recommend it to others, since that was a personal reaction to Tori and had nothing to do with the writer's style or the story line.

Difference between stubborn....

And just plain acting like a spoiled brat. This may contain SPOILER alert here, so there is your warning. I am currently at 26% of this book and I cannot continue. The main character, tori is not a good heroin. She has some rights to question savages moments but her "standing up" for herself is simply tori throwing a Damn tantrum. She is not acting stubborn she is acting like the 5 year olds she teaches. Her character description could not be anymore cliche either. Kindergarten teacher= dress, being naive, innocent, naive, carelessness, have I mentioned naive. She is too old to be that clueless, I do not care if she grew up in a small town. This is all common sense! She barges into basically a sex shop, tells a girl oh you can walk away. No worries, and oh ill tell the owner who is making you prostitute yourself. He will understand completely. What a shock when said owner went wild and was pissed off. Savage comes in just in time to save her.
I can see why a grandmother would totally hire him for protection. What makes more sense is the grandmother is all fine with her granddaughter going to find her boyfriend in some of the worst parts of Vegas. I am not worried about your life and what could possibly happen to you- cause you know, I paid this biker dude here to protect you and savage is bullet proof.
Savage, oh savage. I don't know what to say about him. His character is also cliche. Big, tattooed, bad, bike dude, criminal, okay we get it, he is not a good person. So far no real character development has occurred. We keep reading repeating words. Big has associated biker, he can hurt us, he is trouble, he is a criminal. But that's all fine because granny here as a tingle about him. Who wouldn't let their innocent, naive grandkid go off with some criminal due to a tingle. Well duh to me.
I wish this book was better, it has a lot of potential. If this book is currently free- take a gander. Maybe your opinion will be better than mine.

Im giving up. I just cant stand all the swearing. I get it, he's a bad boy biker, but does he have to curse constantly? even around her grandmother and at the h. If Im going to like him I want him to at least be a little sweeter to the h instead of telling her to 'shut the fuck up' I don't mind swearing in books, I love it when a Hero swears, but its a total turn off if he swears at the h.

That's just one of the reasons. I also hate the heroines judgemental attitude. she's really annoying, like when she thought the bikers were going to rape her or even the Hero himself.

So I hated both of them. plus the grandmother as well, it would have been better and funnier if she was a sweet innocent old lady instead of an swearing drinking and smoking grandmother.

Also I wouldn't have made it far, which for me was chapter 14 if I hadn't known

So for the length of this book, which for me is long, Im not gonna bother to continue, too much hassle.

This book is really good. I enjoyed the twists and turns. Most times I would just shake my head at Tori at what she would do. I was kind of skeptical when I saw the cover and read the synopsis, but I am very glad that I decided to read this book. I love it

Tori works as a kindergarten teacher in a small town. She has sworn off men after a rough divorce but then her grandmother tells her that her pensioner betrothed is missing. Not only did Tori not know about him but Gran has given him her life savings to buy a condo together… in Las Vegas. Luckily it’s a long weekend and the ladies go off to find him. Gran ends up hiring a biker dude, Savage, as bodyguard for Tori.
***
Gran says they can’t call the cops as Joe is on parole… but its okay as Gran’s stomach ‘tingle’ tells her he’s a good guy. Oookay then…
Oh, boy… they have walked right into a biker bar and started asking dumb questions.
Tori blinked hard and took a protective step back as she realized she’d been reading his mind just as he’d been reading hers.(p. 32).

Nope… people can’t read each other’s minds.
Oh my God, they were all going to rape her and she knew it for a fact! (p. 36)

Is that more of that mind reading stuff?
Sigh… she’s in a biker bar and she describes them as evil, brutal, satanic, filthy, creep, animal, hell, stupid, violent, psychopath - honest to god that is all from one page. One kindle page. I mean, that’s a big effort for one kindle page.
But Savage rescues them ie. throws them out unscathed.
At that moment, a 23-year-old, pretty, blonde waitress approached them. (p. 48).

Wow, is her age printed on her name badge? Or is Tori mind reading again? Oh, wait… we don’t know her name but we do know her exact age. That’s weird… right?
Oh, my god. I just snorted in disbelief. Tori just bought a steak knife from the pancake house for $10 as protection. Bwahaha. I mean… she could have just stolen it.
“…I don’t approve of violence, Mr. Savage.” (p. 60)

Honey - you just bought a steak knife.
She’s now annoyed because Savage told her to follow his rules when she has already clearly demonstrated that she does not have a clue how to behave.
Nope… I cannot keep reading. I cannot deal with how truly irritating Tori is.
I can’t even wait for her to redeem herself. And Gran's tingle is working overtime on Mr Savage... uh, huh.
Did not finish at 17%
Nice cover…
Snort. That’s the death knell.
And by the way - it’s ‘liable to’ not ‘libel to’. Libel means something very different; you know, like defamation.

DNF 35% - The characters were so annoying - I WANTED TO PUNCH THEM ALL IN THE FACE. I couldn't continue with this book. And the writing style was ridiculous.
description
I think the author was going for funny and endearing but instead it was like WTF?! It was nothing like a biker romance. Savage is NOTHIGN like a biker - more like a dim-witted petty criminal.

I seriously wanted to murder the grandmother - and WHAT IS IT WITH HER TINGLE?!!!! Seriously, that was the most annoying thing I had ever read.
description
There was nothing biker about this stupid book.

The most annoying character:
1. Grandma: she think she's Living The Life because she swears like a sailor and has an internet boyfriend
2. Tori: one minute she doesn't want anyone to manipulate her or tell her what to do then allows herself to be manipulated and bossed about by her grandma and Savage.
3. Savage: his character was so contrived and ridiculous. There was NOTHING Biker gang about him
description
description

Plot - was so contrived. The way Savage ends up babysitting Tori was so farfetched and stupid I couldn't stop rolling my eyes. And it's also really predictable - it's pretty obvious what Savage is.
I could tell from the beginning by the amount of Holy Scripture mentioning that that he wasn't going to be anything but that (which is fine but don't make it so obvious).

A romantic-suspense novel isn’t usually my first choice when picking a book to read, but I figured I’d try it because it sounds interesting. In a sense, Sin and Savage actually held my attention and curiosity where it mattered, and it got me turning the pages quicker than I would when looking for an answer during a test.

The only problem is that the female main character, Tori, is annoying beyond the distance to the nearest galaxy. She’s full of self-righteousness, judgmental, stubborn to a fault, and never listens to anyone. She gets into trouble because she doesn’t want to do what she’s told, yet she wants to be swooped down on and be saved. Her stupid actions gets a person hurt and wants to be forgiven, but can’t see it to herself to forgive a man’s past. It’s one thing to get a reader riled up over a character because they’re well-developed and balanced, it’s another to make the reader want to stop reading. Tori made me want to stop reading.

The book’s reason for adventure and suspense is actually very shallow, something that I still can’t believe that any sane person would do today. It’s inane and borderline far-fetched, but at least it got the story going. Anna Mara knows how to make an action scene and to calm it down afterwards.

Of course, the ending is happily ever after, with all our kinks straightened out and our couples paired up. Tori is still annoying but at least I finished it. I’m glad that I plowed on despite my growing dislike for Tori, because the book was actually quite enjoyable.

A biker book without really being a biker book but more of a "biker" being hired as a bodyguard book...for a sweet school teacher who is helping her Nana find a man she met on the internet who has disappeared with a huge wad of Nana's cash.
This is the story in a nutshell without giving away any spoilers because this book was full of twists and turns and who really done it...and you never know what is the truth until the end few chapters. I wanted to really love this book and give it 5 stars...but even though it was so engrossing that I read it in one sitting...the heroine Tori was SO annoying and stubborn that it ticked me off and when you have a woman who always does the exact opposite of what she is told (and ends up getting herself and everyone else in more trouble)...well that just gets old. I wanted to slap the shit out of her myself...LOL...and didn't find her sweet but tough southern charm very charming at all...but it grated on my last nerve.
Savage was the typical alpha male biker who constantly battles with the good and bad boy that he is...while trying to resist and then keep Tori.
A different kind of suspenseful romance with some surprises and an HEA...but there is still an open end that could lead to a sequel.

**** 4 **** "Sin City excitement" stars =)

I really enjoyed this read. It was recommended to me by Bookbub as it was free, so I thought I'd give it a try. Having read it and enjoyed it, I would have been happy to pay for it. It was a lovely little read and the characters were full of `character', even though they were all completely different. Nana was wonderfully eccentric and I had to laugh at the dialogue between her and Tori, her religious, serious granddaughter. The banter between them had me laughing out loud. I figured out quite quickly where the story was going with Savage, but that didn't detract from how it got there. The book was full of fun, flirtatiousness, sexual tension, action and drama. Give it a try, I would recommend it.

Saintly preacher's daughter and biker knee breaker? It wasn't really plausible that they should fall in love. The author tried and there was a twist at the end that made it more plausible, but..... The writing was okay. Lots of language since he is a violent biker. It is a bit cleaner sexually than some books. Their relationship bothered me the most I guess. Opposites can attract but this one just seemed too unrealistic. He wanted to be better, but she wasn't very understanding and very judgemental throughout the book. "I trust you. Oh you betrayed me, I hate you! Oh there was a reason, I trust you again. Oh you betrayed me, I hate you! You saved me, I will love you forever....unless you betray me again."

Good grief I had to make myself finish this. Tori and her Nanna were both so annoying and honestly both of them were stupid. I'm so tired of tstl heroines. Who in their right mind asks a creepy bartender to dance just to prove a point? I felt that the story was also too long and very predictable. Lastly the hero Matt broke one of my rules by kissing and rubbing on a waitress right in front of Tori. Seriously just made me sick. I'm not sure what she was to him cause I found myself skipping chapters but that's not cool in my book and it always makes me wary of the actual romance. I don't even think that would have been so bad had the story itself been better. I did not believe in H/h love. To me it was just lust.

Sin & Savage was an enjoyable story and quite well written. I really liked Savage and found him to be very kind and competent but I didn't like Tori much. She was very judgmental and thought she knew best all the time. This attitude often got her and others into trouble because she didn't do what she was told but did what she thought was best - even though it wasn't the best. She was very annoying with the way she was constantly going on about being "shot dead".

I was torn about what rating to give this book but decided on 3.5 stars. With Tori being so annoying, I couldn't justify anything higher.

Great reading!

This was definitely a romantic suspense novel. The story line was incredible and kept you thinking the entire time. The chemistry between the two main characters was hot and steamy; fighting the connection and thinking naughty thoughts throughout the storyline. Combustible passion with a kiss that good girl Tori wanted but fought and bad boy biker Savage knew he shouldn't but did. Violence and sin abounds in Vegas but wait for the ending. Heartwarming and soul touching this novel was a quick but full length read for me.

Cliches and stereotypes

The heroine is beautiful, sweet, stubborn, innocent, and too stupid for words. The hero is big, bad, and dangerous to know, but (of course) he's got a code of honor. This book gives formulaic storytelling a bad name.

I did not finish the book. At about 25%, I just got fed up with the heroine's terminal stupidity. I also got tired of the constant descriptions about how gorgeous the main characters were.

I can live with stereotypes, but give me a heroine with some common sense, please.

A different take on romantic suspense

I really enjoyed this book. This is not an erotic book with heavy sex scenes. It does give the reader time to understand the characters. The suspense in this book builds throughout with a surprise that the reader will not suspect however I believe that I hoped this would happen. I enjoyed reading this book which was different from most of the romantic suspense that I've read lately.

Hmmm

Let me start off by saying this book was good, but it didn't really hit home for me. I guess the only reason why I decided 4 stars instead of five is because the main character tori is portrayed to be all nice and holy I guess you can say but it seemed to me that she was pretty judgemental about a lot of things and kind of stuck up if I'm honest plus the ending seemed just a little rushed for me. Other then that I feel the book was pretty good.

THIS BOOK HAS BEEN SITTING ON MY TO READ SHELF, FOR A VEY LONG TIME. I HAVE A HABIT OF GETTING BOOKS WHEN THEY'RE MARKED DOWN OR FREE, IF THEY SOUND INTERESTING. SOMETIMES I WIN AND THE BOOK TURNS OUT TO BE REALLY GOOD. AND SOMETIMES I KNOW WHY THEY WERE FREE OR MARKED DOWN. THIS BOOK SORT OF FELL INBETWEEN I DIDN’T LOVE IT OR REALLY HATE IT. IT WAS SILLY, CUTE, FUNNY, SEXY AND VERY REPETATIVE. AT TIMES I WANTED TO B-SLAP BOTH OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS. ;0

Could this girl get a life!! All of the deeply in love stuff just happened over a few days! I never get these stories.

Tori is a bit of a prude which really get boring. She is also really judgmental which bothered me; especially when the guy, Savage is expressing his feeling. Also she never listens to him to avoid danger. Annoying! Just my personal pet peeve.

Good story.

I enjoyed reading this book. I really liked Savage, he was honest about himself. But Tori - she was so annoying. As a christian, she failed to "take the beam out of her own eye" many times. Those times were frustrating to read. Otherwise there was lots of action and suspense. Good read!

I really enjoyed this romantic suspense read. The characters were so real you felt like you knew them. The mystery of a Las Vegas man causes untold complications for Tori as she travels with her Nana to find out what happened to him. The innocent school teacher from Gideon, Texas keeps finding herself in trouble with a group of Bikers. You will thoroughly enjoy this fun read.

I could not get on board with Savage cursing at Tori and Nana yelling at Tori. Tori needed to woman up. I’m not a fan of male characters treating the female heroine worse than the dirt on their boots. The plot and premise was flimsy and only added to the impression that Tori was a pushover. I would not recommend.

I'm waiting for the awful taste in my mouth to go away before I write a review. But let me just say, I hate when an author can't decide on a character's personality type. Dumb and gullible or smart and tough. Gawd!

Fun book

This book will have you laughing one minute and in suspense the next. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating is because of the language in it.

Not sure about this one.

Wonderful idea, but I fluctuate from disliking it to ehh. The dialogue was stilted and i really gad a hard time with the whinny preachiness of Tori. I liked Savage though.
