Busted is a fast-paced drama about relationships, love, and revenge involving three women and one man. Arianna Singleton recently relocated to Philadelphia to step up her career as an investigative journalist. Nicole Harris is a church-going executive who works with a PR firm in Maryland. Janelle Carter is a plus size sista who owns and operates a thriving hair salon in Virginia. These women do not know each other but have a lot in common. They are all successful, black, females looking for Mr. Right - on the internet.

These technologically savvy women log onto a new black dating website, LoveMeBlack.com, in search of the man of their dreams. One by one they get emails from the suave, poetry writing, islander, Chauncey. Chauncey is just what they are looking for - a handsome, smooth talking, gentleman. Chauncey has ladies around the world eating out of the palm of his hands while he cons them into footing the bills he racks up.

Each get caught up in a web of love and lies as they discover they are all dating the same man. Arianna is self-centered and wants a man with a perfect body while she might let Mr. Alright slip through her hands. Nicole compromises her faith to satisfy Mr. Fine online. While Janelle, low on self-esteem uses her money to hold on to Mr. Needy. Once Nicole gets fed up with Mr. Fine online, she discovers his address book and gets to work. That's how the three ladies meet and begin to plot revenge on Chauncey.

Busted is a new twist on the adventures of black women scorned. I believe the idea of meeting Mr. Right online is the new rave in 2005. Personally, I couldn't do it myself but one of my close friends did find love in a chat room. The subtitle of the novel says it all - "Never underestimate a sista's revenge" - because we will take it to another level.

Blind Date

Forlorn due to divorce, death or division, these three women find themselves alone and longing for a relationship with a man. In their quest for companionship, they all turn to the advancement of the internet, at ease because no one can judge them for searching for another Mister "Right."

Arianna: has it all together. A journalist who is not a pushover. She is more alert than a lot of women. She turns to the internet just to find someone to "kick it" with. It just may lead to something a little more serious.

Nicole: comes from a religious background. Instead of listening and waiting for the Lord to send her a man, she turns to the internet and is surprised.

Janelle: has extremely low self esteem. In fact it's so low that it's hard to imagine someone being capable of picking it up. But because of the internet someone does.

Chauncey is the man that ALL women dream about or isn't he? He's sporting a six pack, tall, dark and handsome, with an accent that will surely drive you crazy. He says all the right things and also he knows how to treat women.

Ladies, this book is really an eye opener because it shows you that everything is not what it seems. I highly recommend this book for ALL women that are out there searching for Mr. Right!!!!!

Vengeance is mine said the Lord
Girls, girls, girls, girls
Girls, I do adore
I love girls, girls, girls, girls
Girls all over the globe

Chauncey Cockfield is a true-to-life player with women all over the globe loving him. He has profiles on every site you can think of. Little does Chauncey know that every dog has its day. Women find his way with words, the fact that he knows what a woman wants and how to treat them makes him all the more desirable.
Nicole Harris, Arianna Singleton, and Janelle Carter - all three women are from different parts of the East Coast with one thing in common...Chauncey. By chance these women become friends and turn the one thing they had in common into their enemy.

Can they handle what happens next?

I enjoyed Busted, despite it starting a little slow. Ladies beware!
