The Coming Back
Stanley Douglas, a popular, autistic college student, goes missing one rainy night and the world is mystified by his sudden disappearance. However, he resurfaces ten years later, and the Douglas family is once again reunited. The detective department in Savannah reopens the case to unravel the mystery of his ten-year absence. Detective David Wilson hires Doctor Lydia Chan, an ambitious psychiatrist who is struggling to deal with her own shortcomings in life, to help him unravel the mystery. As the two of them work their way through the files of the Stanley Douglas case, they build a strong liking towards each other. However, neither of them is prepared for the skeletons that start to tumble out of the closet as the mystery starts to unfold. What follows is a battle between law enforcers seeking justice and the unconditional love of a blinded family. Does the truth have a righteous victory or will the heart triumph over the mind?

I read about four pages ...
...which I understand is not enough to judge the book, but I just couldn't get past the many run-on sentences. Periods or semi-colons are valid marks of punctuation and should be used. The story may be a good one, but the author should consider hiring a professional editor. Life is too short and there are too many options for reading to struggle through errors such as these.

The story idea
Was great, but the writing was so very stilted! I wanted to rate it much higher because it could have been an amazing book, but there was no imagination used in the writing.

It was a great plot and told in an exciting way.
The only thing I find fault with is the editing. When you have to read a part twice to understand what you mean, it breaks your concentration and spoils the moment. I really get into the books I read and errors cause you to lose the momentum of the story. Other than that and a few grammar errors, the book was great. An unusual plot! Joyce

Story was good idea but predictable. Bought this Kindle book for bargain price - someone needed to do some serious proofreading. I have never read a book with so many blatant errors. Lydia called Jane, Vivian called Sarah - he for she and on and on. Too many graphic sex scenes - unneeded!
Glad bargain book - if hadn't been traveling and only thing I had to read, might not have finished it

Awful
I am very glad that I only paid $.99 for this trash. I could not read it through. The explicit sex (especially homosexual sex) was certainly not what I expected when I read the description of the story prior to purchase. Aside from that it is not well written and couldn't possibly have been properly proofread.

Very poor writing. Full of grammatical errors and obvious mistakes which make it disorganized and hard to read. Thankfully I abandoned the book before the graphic scenes mentioned by other reviewers. Not my taste at all.

Great mystery thriller
The book keeps you on your toes guessing who it is and what really happened in those 10 years. I was surprised. Even though he is autistic it is a great book that shows anything is possible.

January 11, 2017Definitely agree with others about poor editing and smoothness of story flow. I did find it interesting as a suspense but also agree that the introduction was deceiving. Lot of in depth sexuality was not expected. Had to really convince myself to continue to read it through.

I know it seems unfair to rate a book after reading only 13% but honestly, I couldn't make myself continue. It seemed choppy with disorganized and incomplete thoughts.

Terrible editing
This book does not appear to have been edited before it was published. Other character's names appear in conversations and the storyline is very disjointed.

The plot was good though predictable at the end.The author could have taken this plot to the next level by doing some editing.Literary content could have been much better.

I gave this book a rating of 2 because I found the story to be disjointed, stilted and lacking in many ways. I felt like the author couldn't decide whether he was writing a mystery or an erotica story. Even the sexual parts of the story were stilted.
