Kangaroo aliens…why not?
I can think of a couple reasons why not, but oh well. Doesn’t hurt to be a little more adventurous with my reading picks every now and then.
This third installment of the Stolen by an Alien series features a single mom protagonist who gets abducted and sold at auction. The guy who buys her? He’s half kangaroo, half man, all love.
Tara follows Mr. Kangaroo Man onto his spaceship and tries to convince him to take her back to Earth so she can be reunited with her kids. Due to their language barrier, it takes her weeks if not months (!!) to communicate this need. In the meantime she accidentally marries not one but two of the alien crew members.
Seriously, it takes her weeks to figure out that she could try to draw them a picture to show that she has kids. Weeks. Tara is not the sharpest tool in the space shed.
I enjoyed the alien romance, particularly the Rakhii love interest Brax, who starts out as a grumpy, domineering jerk and turns into the softest, clingiest teddy bear ever after bonding.
But the pacing was off, and the FMC was kind of annoying, plus the smut was just not that great. Tara spends way more time giving than receiving pleasure. This is one of those times where I have to say: If I wanted to experience that kind of sex, I’d just go out and date actual men, not stay in to read romance.
Overall, it was fun enough to convince me to try a few more in the series, but I wasn’t blown away.

Kangaroo heroes are my hard limit in an alien sci-fi rom. Who knew?
I struggled mightily with this one, mostly due to Tac, the Wanbaroo (or Kentaur as Tara called him or Kangataur as I called him in my head).
I've read about alien heroes with horns, scales, extra arms, every color of the rainbow skin tones, and even tails. Seriously, I am used to some weird stuff in alien sci-fi, but I was NOT prepared for a hopping hero who chirrups. With long, bedazzled eyebrow whiskers. And secretes a toxin that can paralyze enemies. Did I mention the splotches of colors that appear and disappear at will?
Oh lord, don't get me started on the penis situation for Tac. Between the legs and the penis, Tac was just a little (or alotta) bit out of my comfort zone.
*blinks* Yeah....no.
Beyond this, the story has a split personality - it was like two distinct and separate stories smushed together, with a real beta hero in Tac, who claims Tara first, and Brax, a caveman alpha hero who's actually the beta in the relationship and doesn't factor into the story until quite a few chapters in. And it's not a menage. The mishmash of hero types and separateness of the two relationships made the overall story disjointed, in addition to strange.
And for goodness sake, if the basic obstacle was an inability to verbally communicate, how did it take three quarters of the book for Tara to start trying to draw pictures? Charades was clearly not working and she had access to a writing tool like less than a quarter of the way in.
I'm giving this an extra star because I did manage to finish it and I did laugh at certain times because of the WtFery, but mostly nope. I kept reading more because I had enjoyed the earlier books in the series but this is a pass for me.
But hey, if you're a fan of Amanda Milo's series and you're good with a kangaroo as one of your heroes, you may enjoy this more than I did.

The heroine: Tara - the last thing she remembers is dropping her kids off at daycare. Then she wakes up in a pen with a bunch of other human women being ogled at by a bunch of Aliens. Before she knows it, she is being sold at auction, and the nice looking alien that was staring at her and smiled at her is the one that won her.
The Heroes: Tac and Brax - Tac was stolen from his home planet and sold at auction when he was young, so he knew what it was like and he spent everything he and his friend Lem had, to buy Tara, whom he thought was a Gryfalian princess. Brax is the huge muscular and grumpy owner of the spaceship where Tac works. He bought Tac in an auction seven years ago and now Tac’s tenure is over on the ship, but he and Lem want to stay since he spent everything they own on the princess.
The Story: Tara can’t understand any of the guys and they can’t understand her. So much of the book is them trying to get comfortable with each other while not being able to communicate at all. This got a bit old pretty fast but went on and on. I was hoping for quite a while that they would get her a translator and update their own so they could communicate, especially since Tara needed to convey to them that she is human and not a Gryfala princess and that she wants to get back to her twin toddlers on Earth.
I liked the fact that Tac had a totally different relationship with Tara than Brax. Tac was a very nice guy and tried to do the right thing, but the lack of communication was difficult, he tried to make her food that he liked, but it was gross to her, so it was cute and funny. Brax was a big beast of a man and grumpy, though he had some issues with his past because his brother had fallen for a Gryfala princess and ended up being executed.
Though the lack of communication did bother me quite a bit, I have to admit that it was funny at times. You wouldn’t think it would be so hard to communicate that you have children but Tac’s misunderstanding of Tara’s attempts had me rolling on the floor laughing. At one point she thinks he gets it but he is so far off the mark, it was silly.
This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration, and was narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Callie Dalton. I like both of these narrators. Teddy Hamilton has a deep smokey voice and is great at voice acting rather than just reading. Callie Dalton has a soft feminine voice which is very pleasant to listen to.

As I stated on my profile page, I don't like menage, and while here we have a society where females (Gryfala) have a harem of males (the more the better), the "stolen" females in this series are human. So, technically, when the Gryfala's society rules apply, we have a kind of menage.
Also, we have a species cross-breeding: human (Tara)+rakhii (Brax)+simil-kangaroo (Tac)!
Let's not forget the verbal and customs' communication problem (that is solved inly towards the end the book!) with all the incomprehension that spring from that! Sometimes it's hilarious, sometimes almost sad, but always entertaining and interesting.
Each main character have its own problem that derives from upbringing, desires, compulsion, race and they face it each in its own way.
So, yes, even if I'm not fond of menage here it worked!

Nice entry into the series. I liked that the woman had children back on Earth that she wanted to get back to. Most times the captured girls are all alone in the world so they have no one to miss which is just not too realistic. So a kangaroo type alien? Might have been a bridge too far for me. I appreciate that yes he was alien and at least he wasn't just another blue guy who otherwise looked human but still...

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. It's a messy series and there are many problems but I can overlook them for the most part because it has a type of protectiveness that is like catnip for me. I don't like the level of "not like other girls" stuff and the fact that a lot of the female characters don't act like people but again, I'm willing to note those issues and then move on. There was a couple of reasons I couldn't do the same with this book.
The first major issue comes up very early on and I think is by far the most serious issue. Tara has been kidnapped and is being sold at what is essentially a slave auction. Tac, one of the love interests is there and purchases her. Through this we learn that Tac was also kidnapped and sold against his will and we learn that he had been purchased by Brax, the other love interest. Tac then explains
I really didn't like this at all. The idea that in this world most people sold into slavery becomes friends with their owner just doesn't not sit well with me at all, especially coming from a perspective of being an American and knowing the history of slavery in my country. This felt like an attempt by the author to sidestep the issue of slavery in this story but to me she just made it worse. I will not that it seems like Brax's ownership of Tac functions more like indentured servitude where Tac worked for Brax for seven years and then he gets to leave with some payment but all characters call it slavery and I read it as slavery. I really, really hated this and it colored my view of the whole book and the relationship.
The other issues are much more minor, at least to me. Tac is described as being half human, half kangaroo basically, which...what? I just cannot picture someone as I'm supposed to see as a love interest looking like this. His feet are described as being as long as Tara's legs and I just cannot see this as attractive at all. It's so weird!
The other issue is that they don't get a translator until 3/4 of the way through the story. The author does make it very clear that everyone understands yes and no before any sex happens and the consent is very clear, I never felt like that was an issue, that was not my problem. My problem was that I was just annoyed by their inability to communicate. I was not entertained by Tara's inability to tell them what she needs for so much of this book. Forced lack of communication like this almost always bothers me in romance, especially if it drags on for this long. I just end up wanting them to be able to talk very early on. I feel like this is just a way to force the introduction of conflict without doing any interesting plot work.
There is still protectiveness stuff that I liked and some side characters I enjoyed but all of these issues really colored my perception of this whole book and the issues were present through so much of this book. I would continue reading this series but honestly this book did turn me off from this series a bit.

Won by an alien ( stolen by an alien book 3 )
This is the third book by ms Milo that I have read and holy wanbaroo pants it was bloody great!
So instead of leaving off on the new human/spacemate/hob colony...( as I was kinda expecting ) we dive head on into Tara story. ( she was at the human and alien mates meet up having finally had her translator fitted and able to explain what had been plaguing her for so long )
Tara has twin daughters, after dropping them at daycare she finds herself abducted and being sold at a slave auction. Won by a kangaroo man, TAC’mot with fishbrows ( 😂😂😂) she hopes that he is a way back to her daughters.
However what she finds is herself stuck on a huge ship with a face attacking octopus, a germaphobe coral dude and a massive grumpy rekkii named brax.
Coming to terms with falling for both Tac and brax... and the adventures that that relationship entails. For tac it’s a feeling of self acceptance, as he is an alien amongst aliens, for brax it’s coming to terms with his own emotions and fear of hurting those he loves.
At one point I was concerned that someone’s heart was gonna get broken, that Tara would choose between her sweet and gentle tac or her smirky and protective brax.... FEAR NOT SPACE FANS... we have A TRIO!! YAYAYAYAAYA
Such a fantastic book... I loved the catch up with the previous cast and crew from the first two books in those series! Gripped from the start, filled with heart stealingly beautiful moments and lung bursting laugh out louds...Because of yeah...... ALIEN CONDOMS!! 😂😂😂😂

I had so much fun reading Won by an Alien – or should we say, Aliens! Because yes, Tara (lucky woman) gets to claim both Tac’Mot and Brax! Their personalities couldn’t be more different, either! While Tac is sweet, patient, considerate, Brax is a rakhii, and just like in Amanda’s previous books, we know this breed of alien is possessive, protective, and snarly…but they absolutely adore and cherish their mate.
The book starts off with a group of human women (mistaken for Gryfala) being auctioned off. Tara, our heroine, happens to be on of them. Tac’Mot just happens to be around and he is utterly drawn to the freckled gryfala princess. He knows what it’s like to be sold, to be a slave…but like her, he also has spots of his own! So he spends all the money he (and his friend) owns to purchase her. From there, he carries her on board his owners (though Brax is no longer his owner really) ship, and the story begins!
There were so many laughs! Their interactions together, and hers with each of her males, were hilarious. I love Amanda’s quirky and comical characters, and her writing is so much fun! And LEM! Oh my gosh, that is one WEIRD alien! He’s crazy, crazy weird! You gotta read him! Haha! We also get cameos from previous characters such as Gracie and Dohrien (I love them!), Angie, and Anokh, and more!
If you haven’t read Amanda Milo’s books, I recommend you do so. They are light-hearted and always end in sweet, happily-ever-afters. I need a hob book, Amanda!!!

So, I really enjoyed Amanda's previous books but I'm not into menage stuff.
I loved Tara's relationship with Tac... I felt like the other was forced.
I thought Tara was pretty funny and she had a good attitude about everything

I'm a huge fan of this author, and wanted to love this book like I loved the previous one's. Unfortunately I didn't love this. I found it a little dull and I didn't feel the bond/connection. I was also distracted by the fact that the h had children that were left behind. The lack of communication was also distracting. I'm not a fan of excessive inner dialogue. There were some really funny parts though.

Started reading this a while back but I was completed bored. Thought I was in a book funk but I just couldn't connect with any of the characters. I really enjoyed the first 2 books in the series so it was really sad that I had to DNF this.

This installment takes this miscommunication trope (my least favorite) to a whole new level and still it was cute and funny enough to make this a really enjoyable light read.

HuH…what happened? Where’d my hero’s go?
Let me start by saying, that I’am still very much a fan of this author.
While this book didn’t work for me, I still have hope for future works.
Reviews by other readers suggest this is not usual…
I really did enjoy the ‘author notes’ at the end, my fav of the whole book. 😬🥸
Sooo, the start was hopeful. Like the previous book, there were improvements, and new (a whole heap this time), mistakes.
The previous book started out rushed and more diary-like, a summary of events, rather than story.
This was way better, and made for optimism.
[Though later, when we caught up to the overlap in stories, the same issue occurred for the whole of this timeline. I would strongly hope that the author has much less in future works, as she clearly doesn’t like going over the same events, even from new perspectives. Which is an issue when it’s a new book, and a key part of the story or plot.]
However, the story began to drag somewhat from there… The plot was postponed for rambling around the spaceship.
No romance to speak of, and the timeline was confusing [not really sure how many days passed, or if time was lineal...].
Sooo, approx [a week?], the FMC becomes close friends with MMC 1, and they become sexual. But it all feels kinda-pity sex like-friendship. No real tension, arousal, intimacy, or real lead up by our girl. Though you ‘might’ consider diff for the bloke, but only in a puppy-young-love sorta way. It was sweet and awkward.
The other love interest…yeah that was just so uncomfortably weird. Especially a scene where he bottle feeds her. 😳 I think it was meant to be funny? 🤔🫤
We spent a LOT of time, going round that ship, bored with our girl, watching her cry, be so painfully oblivious you had to question her intelligence, waaay too long with communication stall [no one teaching, making any real effort to learn, try different ways to communicate ??? 🙄🥱🤷♀️]. This was not the quality of imagination and talent I had previously read…
The dialogue was still well written, if at times a little boring. Had some EXCELLENT moments of humour once more! [If only there had been more.]
What I REALLY didn’t get? The most obvious story plot of interest, was left to the last 80%, and seriously rushed through… ??
So much humour, interest, learning…you name it! Lost! Overlooked! Wasted!
I would have understood this if it was an issue of focusing on the romance aspect [though a less fun way]… but there was so little of that.
PLUS! One of my biggest disappointments, was the change in story device from book 1. I LOVED how the whole ‘chemical binding’ element was about choice. How it was triggered by desire, friendship, and developed over time.
In book 2, this was sped up through a plot involving dreams over yeeaaars.
This one…not even fated mates, just fated biology [?], or proximity… They didn’t even seem to like each other before they had sex. 🥱🫣 I was sooo disappointed with that!

Last gripe, when steam can’t honestly come from physical attraction, you use emotional, mental, physical through touch. You don’t use…it was weird, but kinda hot…that just comes across as weird 😂 especially with no build up or reason for the reader to view it as anything else 🤣..

But all those tropes I hate…and were missing from book one…got put back in book 3. 🫣🥹

Let me start by saying, that I’am still very much a fan of this author.
While this book didn’t work for me, I still have hope for future works.

Sooo, the start was hopeful. Like the previous book, there were improvements, and new (a whole heap this time), mistakes.
The previous book started out rushed and more diary-like, a summary of events, rather than story.
This was way better, and made for optimism.
[Though later, when we caught up to the overlap in stories, the same issue occurred for the whole of this timeline. I would strongly hope that the author has much less in future works, as she clearly doesn’t like going over the same events, even from new perspectives. Which is an issue when it’s a new book, and a key part of the story or plot.]
However, the story began to drag somewhat from there… The plot was postponed for rambling around the spaceship.
No romance to speak of, and the timeline was confusing [not really sure how many days passed, or if time was lineal...].
Sooo, approx [a week?], the FMC becomes close friends with MMC 1, and they become sexual. But it all feels kinda-pity sex like-friendship. No real tension, arousal, intimacy, or real lead up by our girl. Though you ‘might’ consider diff for the bloke, but only in a puppy-young-love sorta way. It was sweet and awkward.
The other love interest…yeah that was just so uncomfortably weird. Especially a scene where he bottle feeds her. 😳 I think it was meant to be funny? 🤔🫤
We spent a LOT of time, going round that ship, bored with our girl, watching her cry, be so painfully oblivious you had to question her intelligence, waaay too long with communication stall [no one teaching, making any real effort to learn, try different ways to communicate ??? 🙄🥱🤷♀️]. This was not the quality of imagination and talent I had previously read…
The dialogue was still well written, if at times a little boring. Had some EXCELLENT moments of humour once more! [If only there had been more.]
What I REALLY didn’t get? The most obvious story plot of interest, was left to the last 80%, and seriously rushed through… ??
So much humour, interest, learning…you name it! Lost! Overlooked! Wasted!
I would have understood this if it was an issue of focusing on the romance aspect [though a less fun way]… but there was so little of that.
PLUS! One of my biggest disappointments, was the change in story device from book 1. I LOVED how the whole ‘chemical binding’ element was about choice. How it was triggered by desire, friendship, and developed over time.
In book 2, this was sped up through a plot involving dreams over yeeaaars.
This one…not even fated mates, just fated biology [?], or proximity… They didn’t even seem to like each other before they had sex. 🥱🫣 I was sooo disappointed with that!

Oh boy this one is hard. I really liked books 1 & 2 and had such high hopes for this one. And I LOVE the author. But...this one fell way flat for me. I actually had to put it down in the middle of the book, and every time I would pick it up I couldn't get back into the story. After 2 weeks of trying and failing to get back into the story I gave up the ghost. I quickly skimmed to the end so that the author would get paid for all the pages, but really didn't read anything from about 50% on.
I really wish I could pinpoint exactly what I didn't like about this but I just can't seem to figure it out. It's not the author or her writing style, those are fine. I think I just didn't like the characters.

Third installment in the Stolen by the Alien series, and while the second book was dark and full of triggers, this one is sweet and pleasant, but still full of surprises, I really like Ms. Milo heroines and heroes and you will love them too!
If you are a fan of Ruby Dixon or Anna Craven or Stephanie West, you will love Amanda Milo books.

Won by an Alien was a fun third instalment of Amanda Milo’s Stolen by an Alien series. This one was a return to full on romcom after the second instalment was more of a romance drama with a touch of humour. This sci-fi romance series benefits from Milo’s engaging writing style and her mix of likeable characters, easy to root for romantic pairings, and great blend of hilarious and cute happenings.
After the first two book were just regular romance tales this third book changed things up a bit and told a more unusual tale. Our heroine, Tara, ended up with two alien boyfriends! This was actually my first reverse harem story. I think it helped it was a soft entry into the sub-genre and juggling just a couple of lovers feels like something I can buy more into than juggling dozens of lovers! I’ve had less than successful experiences with regular harem stories in the past so I was surprised, but delighted, when Amanda Milo successfully sold me on this soft reverse harem romance.
I think Milo has created a pretty fun world with this romance series without ever having had to do any real worldbuilding. The focus on each book is definitely much more on the developing bonds and romance than on the worldbuilding or any sort of action or adventure. Milo makes it work. The characters are likeable, the romance easy to root for, and the cute and hilarious happenings and fun characters interactions keep me fully engaged despite the lack of happenings outside of the development of the romance.
I liked Tara and her two aliens Tac and Brax. The fact that Tara had no way to communicate with either of them for the majority of the book offered plenty of opportunity for fun misunderstandings. She hilariously blundered her way into bonding with both guys. I actually really liked the character dynamic between all three in general. It was easy to buy into them all slowly buying into this unusual relationship.
All in all this was a weird bit fun stumble into the soft-reverse harem sub-genre. I’ll absolutely be reading the rest of the books in this series. It is addictive fun!

I did really enjoy book #1 of this series, but this one's only saving grace was how much I liked Tac. He's very sweet and I liked that he was a new alien species with different characteristics (Wanbaroo); I wish the focus had been on him and his species in the way that book #1 had focused on Rahkii and Arokh. Brax really overshadowed the story and took away from things because we focused on him and his issues far too much and he wasn't as good as a Rahkii as Arokh was :/
I felt like way more of the book was dedicated to Brax being moody than to any relationship development or enough sweet moments between the characters. Tara even has sex with Brax before Tac despite there clearly being more of a physical and emotional relationship established with him. I don't know. It just didn't have the same emotional appeal to me. I'm not against polyamory, but this just felt like Brax forced his way into things and couldn't be left out because he imprinted and would die if Tara left him. I would've preferred if it was just Tac and Tara because it had more chemistry and an emotional pull. Brax is just... tension and drama.
It also was kind of a downer for me that Tara's hangup about being with the aliens was having kids on earth. I don't know. Romances with former kids just tend to make me feel like the leads are too unfamilar for me to really relate because I don't have kids (nor do I want them).
I'm sure this mixture of elements will do wonderfully for a lot of readers, but for me, things didn't quite align the way I would've preferred them to.
Personally, I'm on the look-out for a book about the hobs as a main male-alien focus that isn't Gracie and Dohrein because I don't really care for either of those characters, based on what I've seen of them in this book and book #1.

And this book wins the award for the most bizarre alien penis. So strange, so cringe-worthy. But the MC dug it so everything was fine.

Liked the menage and the strange aliens and meeting the other familiar characters from the previous books. It was a fun, engaging read which I really enjoyed.
Another really good point for the book was the fact that she had kids previous to meeting with the aliens. It's just too damn often that the aliens abduct only women who are single and without kids. How does that work? So I liked this bit of realistic reality woven into the story.

Sweet story, human h who has 2 babies left on earth, and 2 very different Hs. One is odd, like a kangaroo and other has bonded to h and is suffering. It was fun to see them communicate without common language, and how the 2 males manage her. Very nice story, with all 3 working out how to love each other, and become a family. The lack of communication was a bit frustrating but once I persisted, it became easier to get involved in the story.

This was just alright. It took way too long for the communication issue to get resolved, with many missed opportunities for alternative communication methods. Then there are characters from future books coming in, like we are supposed to know who they are and how they relate to the story?? I was just confused, think I missed something.

We all know that feeling; you can’t stop smiling; the butterflies in your stomach; work days seem to become twice as long as all you’ve got on your mind is getting back to your heart’s desire. We’ve all felt in and recognise the symptoms of find a brand new author to fan girl over. Well, that’s what happened to me when I started reading Amanda Milo’s Stolen by an Alien series. She gets me. She understands that I love a romance involving an alien that’s actually a bit alien.
I really liked these books, they were a lot of fun with heroines I liked and some alien heroes who despite their massive stature were adorable and easy to love. Each story does seem to follow a very similar pattern, however, I enjoyed that pattern and would have happily read three more of these books one after the other.
At the moment there are 3 books in this series (all of which I read in about 2 days! I was addicted) and below in a rundown of each book.
Book #1 Stolen by an Alien
Alien type: Dragon/Lizard, known as Rakhii
Alien appendages: Scales, horns, fangs, genitalia I’ll let you discover for yourselves!
Hobbies: Getting their scents on their Mates. Making their Mate the most sexually satisfied woman in the galaxy.
It’s hard not to fall in love with Arokh; for a seven foot dragon man with pointy teeth and horns he’s adorable. It’s a great introduction to the series and it got me immediately hooked.
Book #2 Rescued by an Alien
Alien type: Dragon/Lizard, known as Rakhii
Alien appendages: Scales, horns, fangs, genitalia I’ll let you discover for yourselves!
Hobbies: Getting their scents on their Mates. Making their Mate the most sexually satisfied woman in the galaxy.
In the second book in the series, we are sticking with the Rakhii, this time we have Zadeon. Zadeon is a fierce gladiator, whose spent so much time as a warrior that he’s lost his hearing. However, scary as he is, he turns into a marshmallow when around his traumatised mate.
Book #3 Won by an Alien
Alien type: Dragon/Lizard, known as Rakhii
Alien appendages: Scales, horns, fangs, genitalia I’ll let you discover for yourselves!
Hobbies: Getting their scents on their Mates. Making their Mate the most sexually satisfied woman in the galaxy.

Alien appendages: Legs like a kangaroo, when angry his skin changes colour and becomes a deadly toxin. When happy/horny changes to attract his mate
Hobbies: Being adorable. Making his mate happy.
That’s right, we get two aliens for the price on one in Won by an Alien. The cute Tac’Mot, who has legs like a kangaroo. Then there is Brax a Rakhii. This isn’t an entirely harmonious pairing at first as Rakhii aren’t known to share well. But for the sake of their mate they give it their all.

Not for me.... the guess work and misconceptions went on too damn long!
Sighs, I wanted to like this I sooo did but the guess work and misconceptions went on too damn long!l.... This whole having to guess what the other means and what they are thinking,or wanting or even what their species is ?
Up to and past 70% of the book ?!?
F that it's just insane abs got on my last damn nerve...
Tac was cute and sweet,and even though I know in his own way Brax might have meant well, his high/heavy handed tactics got on my last nerve....
Tara was okish ,but two ppl having to guess what the other could be both cute and annoying but at least 5 ppl for at least 75% of the book ? The heroine thinking she's making headway, that the others are finally getting a clue as to what she needs ?
When they still are soo utterly and completely clueless if compared to the night or darkness your talking too dark not even a bats sonar would help....
She things they are taking her home, they think she's bonding to them willingly and that she's a race of ppl she's not and are constantly trying to cater to needs she doesn't have and thinking they are right accidentally get it right w/her...
Ok, a little bit of this as I said might be fun or even cute,and of course in this type story that they would have language and cultural differences that would get in the way, but eventually greater understanding NEEDS to dawn and the ppl involved to get a freakin clue....
Like say a translator of some sort ? One is finally gotten but like I said not til at least 75% thru the book buy by the I'd cringed along w/all these inane ideas and misconceptions on both parts , cringing til I hurt over it til ,well til I no longer cared...
It hurt my feelings to watch poor,poor Tac Mot think one wrong thing after another especially when he was Soo unbearably sweet and sensitive and submissive beating himself up time and time again soo utterly clueless in his sad random guesses over what was right and wrong w/Tara encouraging him and now even knowing she was usually encouraging the wrong things....
Geez,it's not fun ( well wasn't for me ) when over 1/2 way thru the book Tac thinks she's accepting to mate and bond w/him and she thinks he's just into kinky sex...

I had trouble with this book. I still gave it 5 stars because my trouble wasn't with how the book was written or anything like that. I truly love all of Amanda's book, I think they are amazing. I just have trouble with love triangles when there is a party within the trio who is getting the raw end of the deal. I can't explain because it will give away the book...but that was my issue with the book. Not the book itself, me...my hang ups with menages. I personally like it when all three are in love with eachother...I don't like an odd man out.

I wish I could say I loved this book, like the previous books in the series. But, I didn't. I did like it, however, it really dragged in the middle. I struggled to get through the middle; unfortunately, nothing much happens for a good part of it. I really like that the kidnapped/bought human struggled to communicate with her alien friends - that is very realistic. I did not like that the heroine accepted Brax's attachment readily when she did not seem to even like him. Even though this was not a favorite of mine, I would like to continue the series.

I couldn't picture the half kangaroo. I feel like the author would have done better to be a bit more vague. Instead in my head it kept changing from large kangaroo legs to a weird elongated dog heel...
I also felt like a lot of the women meeting was glossed over (especially since we saw it in other books) but I would have liked to see it from her perspective.
I really really really really really want Beth's story, and also I would like a story with a couple Hobs, they're just so fun, with their 'mane caring' and what not.

3rd entry in series that I didn’t feel connected the previous books seamlessly like the 2nd book did. I LOVE the Rahkii though and look forward to more stories featuring them. I also am eager to read about the blind girl and her seeing eye dog’s story.😏

Each book by Amanda Milo has been wonderful and this one is no exception.
