'A Scaled Tribulation' is a captivating fantasy thriller by Aaron D. Brinker which tells the tale of a career father's strained relationship with his estranged daughter leading to the unfolding of a mystery with Christian dimensions. With Christian main characters like Saint Michael the Archangel, Lucius the fallen angel, Lord Jesus Christ etc., the book brings out the essence of probably how battles between good & evil may be taking place on earth. The book using the techniques of shorter but concise chapters with well-placed action scenes makes the tale of Adam, his wife Jess & the Beast an interesting read. Thus, the book is easy to comprehend & grasp, compact & action packed. The fight scenes especially between Saint Michael & Lucius as well as between Adam & the Beast are what a reader should look forward to. The book does not involve itself in theological discussions of any sort & so is pure entertainment at its best. The witty anecdotes of Jude & Saint Michael add a light & humorous color to this fantasy novel. 'A Scaled Tribulation' which is the first book in the Redemption Series can motivate the reader to anxiously wait for the next book in the afore mentioned series. The book is perfect for light reading & so can be easily enjoyed while travelling or commuting to work, college, high-school or even during breaks in the busy hectic week. The reader will appreciate the encounters of Lucius with his victims as well crafted & delivered by exceptional narrative capabilities of fantasy writer Aaron D. Brinker. The book reads like a thriller with a Rowling tinge to it; the twist in the tale that appears at the end of the tale will astound & take the reader by surprise. I highly recommend this wonderful Indie-book for a good busy week read & for those readers who are interested in fantasy fiction. Those readers who are not Christian & even who are not familiar at all with Christian themes & Biblical characters will not find this novel a daunting read but will indeed be able to comprehend the story with ease. My favorite portions in this book are the action scenes especially between Adam & Lucius' minions. The character Jude was one of my favorites as well as the twins. The short chapters are what appealed to me most in this novel. It is because of this factor that the book was really very intriguing & it was also easy to picture the whole book in one's mind like a DC or Marvel comic movie without missing any detail! The violence is not graphic or blood-churning worthy but is instead not overly exaggerated & is good & clean enough even for young adults who want to explore this kind of fiction. This book has induced me to certainly read more of Aaron Brinker's shorter fiction & other novels in the coming weeks. If you want to read this quick unorthodox Christian fantasy read, then pick up this book titled 'A Scaled Tribulation' today. Kudos to Brinker on keeping me as his reader engaged throughout the book. Happy reading to all!

If you enjoy stories about warring angels and devils and even a special appearance by Jesus Christ himself, this could be a story you might want to read. It's about family, love, greed, avarice and at the same time the action never stops as the characters constantly battle it out in a war of good against evil. This story has the added bonus of shapeshifting angels who wage a war against a horrific monster who is actually only a greedy human who has sold his soul to the devil in return for wealth and prosperity.
At the times ancillary characters making an appearance suddenly might tend to throw you off and confuse you but they do contribute to building the momentum of the story as a whole and creating the wicked characterisation of the monster.
Another great element is that Author, Aaron Brinker writes great fight scenes with the battles happening on a scale so large that you would need a vivid imagination to run through them in your mind. So, fans of angels and demons and devils you can try Scaled Tribulation to understand why some wars are won from the heart and not by strength.

"A Scaled Tribulation" is a gripping exploration of the eternal struggle between good and evil, blending supernatural elements with a compelling narrative. Brinker effectively immerses readers in the chaos of a war that extends beyond celestial beings, showcasing humanity's pivotal role through the eyes of Jude and Adam. Their transformation from ordinary individuals to powerful warriors adds depth to the story, making their struggles relatable and poignant.

The setting of Chicago provides a gritty backdrop, heightening the stakes as the duo faces an emerging threat that leaves a trail of carnage. Brinker's writing is dynamic, capturing both the action and the emotional toll of the battles. The characters are well-developed, grappling with their newfound powers while navigating the moral complexities of their mission.

However, while the pacing is generally strong, some sections could benefit from tighter editing to maintain momentum. Overall, "A Scaled Tribulation" successfully balances thrilling action with thoughtful character development, making it a must-read for fans of urban fantasy and supernatural fiction

This latest release from author Aaron D. Brinker does not disappoint and kicks off with a cracker first chapter that will leave you gasping – and desperate to read on …

The story introduces the journey of Adam and his wife Jessica, who are spending their vacation with Jessica’s father, Christophe, along with their two children, Justin and Charlie. With not having seen each other for a long while, Jessica hopes that the trip will bring an opportunity to strengthen her relationship with her workaholic father. She certainly does get to see a side to him that she’s not experienced before, but it’s not quite what she was expecting!

This is a captivating tale of supernatural fiction, expertly crafted by the author who creatively introduces the story of Adam and his crime fighting partner Jude and their battle against the forces of evil with surprising twists I did not anticipate. The fighting scenes were gory and sassy and certainly kept me on the edge of my seat!

An engaging read that flows nicely and will keep you wanting to turn the pages and seek more tales from this talented author.
