Rate this book
Less than a day after two gruff military officers escort her to a government facility, Melissa Malone finds herself leaving the planet on a newly-built spacecraft heading for one of the moons of Jupiter. Unknown to most of the world, an asteroid is hurtling toward Earth and, due to her unrivaled computer skills, Melissa is one of a select group of people chosen to rebuild civilization should humanity prove unable to avert the approaching cataclysm.

Melissa’s situation rapidly goes from bad to worse when the ship is attacked and she is captured by what she can only assume are aliens. After a thorough medical examination, Melissa is given as a bride to a man named Damian. As she soon learns, the handsome officer has laid claim to her for a reason. Damian is on a mission, sent by the leaders of his world to infiltrate and bring to justice the band of renegades who took her captive… and he needs her help.

Despite Damian’s willingness to spank her soundly for any disobedience, Melissa cannot help delighting in the way her body responds to his touch, and his skillful, dominant lovemaking brings her to heights of passion she never imagined possible. But when the time comes for Melissa to put her abilities to the test with the fate of the Earth on the line, can she outwit a rogue computer expert and prove that Damian’s trust in her was well placed?

This was a very sexy, actioned packed, science fiction, thrill ride.

It pushed me out of my comfort zone every once in a while, but I really enjoyed it.

The author's world creating was amazing. And she portrayed a harsh environment through a very well written and enjoyable plot.

I loved hating the bad guys.
And the main characters were imperfect and I really liked that about them.

The sex was scorching. The punishments, hot. Sometimes pushing me out of my comfort zone. But I expected that, going in. And I enjoyed it overall.

If you like engaging science fiction that really pushes all your buttons and keeps you on the edge of your seat, this is a great story to read.

HOT, Dystopian Earth story
Melissa is a computer genius on a dystopian Earth where war and pollution has changed everything. One day her home is invaded by military police taking her to an undisclosed location only to find out that she is among 1,000 women and 1,000 men who will be sent off Earth to colonize Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons to maintain the human race in the event that Earth is hit by the killing asteroid. On her space voyage to Europa, her ship is captured by space slavers, except she is taken by Damian, an undercover operative of another race/planet. She has a lot to learn about her new life on Mojaz and Damian plans on teaching her with his hand on her rear end!
I truly enjoy a “nice kidnapper” story and Damian is nice, strong and buff, yum. Melissa is a little bit “princess” in this story though. She misbehaves just b/c she can. The book gets a little political about ecological issues, but not as bad as others by Ms. Dawson. This planet is suspiciously inhabited by foliage of New Zealand ;-)
Spoiler: One part has me perplexed however. Melissa hacks into multiple computer systems on her first day on Mojaz b/c she’s bored, but when asked by the Commander to help him capture the slaver and save Earth, she says she won’t do it b/c it goes against all that she believes in. What?!
Short but enjoyable story if you like kidnappers that you can fall for and many HOT scenes of Melissa and Damian “together.” I give it 3.5 stars.

Entertaining short read
Excellent quick read, I was easily able to read it in a sitting.
I very much enjoyed Mel's journey, being taken from her apartment and then sent by rocket to a new planet. This flying transport was then taken over by criminals and the one thousand men and one thousand women were taken prisoner by space pirates. The women have bne kept to be sold as breeders, those not suitable will be sold as slaves to the various races of Aliens that rely on them in their homes and their beds.
Damien a purple eyed Alien has explained his reason for making her his wife, he requires her assistance to break into the software system on the rocket to prevent Commander Zuss from his underhanded motives, stealing men and women and selling them with no regard to their safety he really was the lowest of the low, even in the history of Space Pirates.

Our heroine is captured by an alien male that believes spankings solve all problems.

I like a good dominant male story with lots of spankings as much as the next person, but I get a little tired of the "women are not worthy of anything out of bed" shtick. Here it seems particularly out of place since everyone wanted our heroine specifically for her great computer skills. And for her part, she is written as highly intelligent, and yet can't seem to make logical decisions based on her circumstances.

But this is fantasy, not reality, and the goal is to provide erotic entertainment. At this, the story succeeds pretty well. The plot is not bad and I would have liked to see more of it, actually. The characters are okay, with neither one being particularly likable in my opinion. The sex and spanking scenes are pretty hot. Overall, there were some good elements and some bad elements and it never came together for me.

Living in a society ruled by the military and branded at birth Melissa has been taken by the military and forced into service. Damian an intergalactic policeman out to take down a Commander Zuss has had his mission change to the claiming of a computer genius and transporting her to Mojaz. Guess who the genius is? Now the twists in the story start popping up and we are off and running. This quick read is packed with heat it also has suspense and a great ending. I read a few of the reviews and where I understand what they were saying I just wonder why they would choose a book like this to read if this type of book is not their cup of tea. This is just an FYI this is a Stormy Night book you can always go on to their website and get an idea about their books before reading and doing a review. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

The alien males in this story train and discipline their women to obey at all times. They love spanking, the harsher the better ( ugh.. )! Melissa is a stubborn brilliant computer analyst abducted from a starship of Earth refugees ( actually a thousand men and a thousand women being sent away to safety while Earth faces direct impact from an asteroid ) captured by a slave trader intent on the destruction of Earth for his own nefarious purpose. She is taken to safety by Damian, a deep cover agent for the intergalactic police, who manipulates her into the joy ( and pain ) of marriage. And they absolutely need her skills to hack into the computer systems of the outlaws and slave traders. I enjoyed the story although it was a little too harsh with the discipline.

I used to read the author's contemporary books. It's the first time I read sci-fi for her. I believe this one was old written. Her writing is more sophisticated right now. Still the story is nice but there's some repetition that added little to the events ( like when she kept saying that she wanna go back to earth or when everytime her skills were needed she kept saying that she can't work under pressure and so on ). I'm used to read more dark books so this book is a sweet one for my tastes. It's worth a try ,however, if you like sci-fi books.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed this book. An asteroid hurtling toward earth, and Melissa is one being chosen to re-populate the future. The plans are changed when the ship is pirated. Thank goodness Damian's people know her strengths, and they're useful to their cause. She certainly goes through some trials; interesting trials! Will she choose Damian? I really enjoyed their relationship. All of it! LOL

She has been chosen to leave earth just in case it is not by the asteroid ending to it. She is then taken by aliens when their ship is taken and she was given to him. How will they get on? Can she prove her worth? How will it end? Follow them

I enjoyed this book, I was hooked on the story from page one! Great sci-fi here with an inventive plot idea, which is actually a little scary if you think about it too much ;) The book offers danger, suspense, romance, and quite a bit of steam. Don't take my word for it, one click and enjoy! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.

Some good parts.

This was a good storyline but something was missing for me. The characters were rather two dimensional. What should have been vivid and exciting was bland in places. There was not an emotional connection to any part and there was no humour.

this was an interesting read for me. I am not a huge sci-fi fan but a friend recommended it. I am glad she did I really thought the premise was very interesting and different. I did want to smack Melissa a couple of times throughout the book.

Human woman happens to run across, or actually, be run across by an alien male in pursuit of pirates. He rescues her and erotic romance, with a bit of DD, follows.
