Could I Do That?

Rate this book
If you knew you couldn't fail, what would you try?

The media is awash with stories of incredible people, doing incredible things. If it's not travelling non-stop around the world on a unicycle, they might be building their own eco-house or a multi-million pound business from scratch. Do you watch these people and wonder . . . "Could I do something amazing too?"

Most of us envy the drive and determination of such people. They've made stuff happen rather than just daydreaming about it. But do you really know where your limit is? Do you have any idea of what you're truly capable of?

The only thing holding you back is . . . you.

We all have challenges that we would love to take on, but for some reason, there's a gap between us and what we'd love to achieve. The question is--how can we bridge that gap?

Could I Do That? shows you how to embrace change and defeat the limiting beliefs that will enable you to tackle those challenges--whether big or small--that seem too daunting or even impossible. With examples and advice from others who have achieved big things, and plenty of practical tips to set you on your way, you'll learn that you too, can do something extraordinary.

One thing that really bothered me about this is that the author did not complete his challenge that he set out to do in the beginning. In fact, he sort of just brushed it off like no big deal. I get that things come up but this book was very anti-climatic. But it was and easy read and the illustrations and pop out quotes were swell.

Simple but good read - a motivation, 'self help' book about embracing change and getting past limiting beliefs, how taking on a challenge can be intimidating but transformational.

I liked how it connected ideas I have seen and read from others; e.g. how nothing happens without the concept of 'why' (a passion or an inspiration), doing the right things consistently results in progress

This is a very encouraging book. It speaks in simple terms about the conversations we have in our heads about challenges and how we can take challenges on, step by step. I found it helpful and enjoyable to read.

The book has a lot of inspiring quotes which suit perfectly the questions Simon Hartley is trying to cover.
