Whereas the first Volume tried to focus too much on emphasis on "action", this volume placed a lot more emphasis on "adventure". We get flashbacks that allow us to see why the protagonists are searching for the wisdoms, as well as finally meeting the antagonist group and seeing what drives them to want to collect the wisdoms. I'm not a big fan of flashbacks and back stories, however the flashbacks in this volume were very smoothly done, and transitioned from the present to the past effortlessly while still holding my interest. As stated before the "action", is pulled back a lot in this volume to focus more on the "adventure", as a whole, however what fighting scenes did remain in this volume were far better then the first volume.
