Chelsea Moore and her two kids are already in one of the roughest seasons of their lives when they end up at the vet's. Dr. Seth Huntington sees a family in pain and wants to help them through it, and maybe see if there's more than just friendship between him and Chelsea.
Poignant and inspiring, this story manages to handle some pretty tough issues without being depressing. Chelsea was able to let go of things a little bit easier than I expected - or than I think I would - but it felt true to her character. A good read with surprising depth for a shorter story.
Chelsea is a recent widow with two young children. She moves to a new town and meets Seth Huntington. Seth is a veterinarian, as well as one of a ministry team that helps widows from his church.
Seth grows to like Chelsea, but Rachel, who is Grant's sister (we meet Grant in Pure Fiction) has her eyes set on Seth.
Can Chelsea learn to love again? Will Seth be able to choose between Chelsea and Rachel?
My only complaint is the these book aren't numbered, so I read them out of order. All great books but I read about Seth's love story after Grant's in which Seth is already married. I read about Seth's son before Grant's. See what I mean. They should be numbered.
I love the stories this author creates. The characters are real and have things in their lives that test them. Another thing I like is that God is intertwined through out the story. I always lead something when I read her stories.
Beautiful!! The title is perfect for this book about promises. Promises made, promises broken, new promises, and the ultimate Promise Keeper who we can always be everything to us. Jenn Faulk is my favorite and this book is PERFECT!!
Is this Seth the same jackass who ignored Rachel for 14 friggin years in "Just Friends"? And she only moved on once she got his wedding invitation in the mail. Talk about missing a sensitivity chip. Yeah a hard pass on this book.

I enjoyed this book about a young widow and her two children and how she overcame so much by putting her trust in the Lord. She realized He is really the only One we can truly depend on. The hero was so precious and loving. It's a great read and I highly recommend it.
