It takes more than the Elsewhere to hold Bree and Hawk ... but they haven't escaped unscathed. Bree's mad dash into the Elsewhere to save him is successful, but there's a price to pay. Something's tainting it, and it's making them very ill. They're not the only ones. A terrible sickness is mutating and killing fae across the realm - and it looks set to spread to pandemic proportions. Travelling to the Glass Isle to seek the help of the Lake Ladies, they find unexpected support from the last person Bree EVER wants to talk to. Hawk's come up with some plans, but they're as stupidly risky as usual. With the Taint eradicating their self control, a bunch of hungry and vengeful river hags, two seriously angry monarchs, memories she's still not accessed, and a frightened Formori girl to contend with - it's not the easiest week in the world. And it looks like they're going to have to travel somewhere no Fae's ever been. Somewhere insanely dangerous. All in all, it's not exactly a honeymoon. So. Situation normal, then.

Brilliant read!

This is the third in the series, and it's a brilliant read! The story, the interconnecting relationships, the characters, the action and the threads bringing the tale together.

As with book two, Tainted can be heart wrenching in places. The main characters develop in such a way that leaves you gripped and hungry for more. it was so good to get reacquainted with old friends, and be introduced to new characters. As with Fated and Stormbringers the story and the world of Faery are flawless. Looking forward to getting stuck into book four. The inter-team banter gets funnier and funnier the more you read. I like the way the problems and solutions fit together without being predictable. I'm really enjoying the way the author uses language, and the way folklore and traditional British legends are used to make the world and the plot richer.

Modern take on Arthurian fantasy...

Absolutely brilliant, the plot thickens and we're left on a cliff hanger. I best get on and read the next book. If you enjoy fantasy then give these books a go. Go team unseelie...
