Glitch has been training to be a Galactic Ambassador for the planet of Bettle. Sent on a mission to the planet Albermarcus they have to make a stop on Earth to find something to refuel. Joining Glitch on the mission is Quirk, his training computer. The two of them are able to communicate by passing just thoughts. Quirk describes human as highly unpredictable, emotional creatures who can't tell the difference between what is actually happening and their interpretation. Glitch will have to keep this in mind in his dealings with humans. The first Earthling Glitch meets is a teenager named Buddy who is being bullied and is in need of a friend. Glitch has many experiences on earth including going to school, making a variety of friends and solving problems. Quirk has some adventures of his own. This is an entertaining and fun book to read.

2.5 I expected a fun little YA tale, which it was – if not particularly memorably so –up to point, and I could probably have shrugged off the disappointingly long list of simplistic resolutions. But you know, no matter how much characters "redeem" themselves through, uh, being slightly less horrible than otherwise portrayed, the boundaries involved here are nothing short of appalling. This man is a life coach, who writes to "entertain, encourage and inspire"? Um, no.

This is a great story of friendship for younger folks. And doing whats right. There is a little mystery to figure out. This book features social stresses such as stealing, lying, alchol, and bullying. It is well written and fun little read.

"Who are you, really?"
A delightful fun and naïve story with real heart.
Glitch, a trainee Galactic Ambassador travelling from his home planet of Bettel, is forced to land on a small and rather primitive planet called Earth in order to search for fuel. Hiding his tail and extra large ears to look for the only source known to exist here - a meteorite - Glitch finds himself involved with the ongoing lives of several humans and especially with a 15 year old boy, Bobby, who is in fear of the local jock and bully, Tank. How will our erstwhile ambassador conduct himself in these tense and testing circumstances? And will be ever find that elusive meteorite?
As always with this author, the characters are nicely delineated, almost believable as real people. Easy to read, this is a fun book as well as being moral without being 'preachy', and with some laugh out loud moments. it would be an excellent story for parents to read to older children or for younger YAs to enjoy

Spacehoppers by W. Bradford Swift is a fun book to read. It's about Buddy Clemson who met Glitch, who hopes to become a Galactic Ambassador. Buddy and Glitch have some entertaining adventures.

It was a fast, page-turning book to read and I gave it five stars.

Can Glitch achieve his goal, or will he be derailed in the effort?

I received a complimentary copy from the author. That did not change my opinion for this review.
