This book should have a marking: "The incidents written about in this book are true, but the name are changed to protect some of the people involved." It was difficult to discern whether this was a book of fiction or non-fiction, so I had to research it, especially the incident involved in the climax of the book. I can recommend this book for buffs of the FDNY and anyone who wants to learn more about firefighting in the late 70's and early 80's in New York City.
