It's good twin versus bad in this Christian drama filled with romantic rivalry and sister strife. Phylicia and Phoebe are both in love with Reverend Gary Morgan, the pastor of Freedom Inspiration, but he only has eyes for his high school sweetheart, Phylicia. That doesn't stop Phoebe from scheming to get him, however. The girls are saved and saving themselves for marriage, but Phoebe decides to pose as her sister one day and seduces the poor pastor--who's enraged when he learns he's been duped. Phylicia and Gary are able to get past it and build a life together, while shamed Phoebe leaves town. But that's not the last they'll all hear of the betrayal that altered the course of everyone's destiny, including that of their children. . .

Zaria Garrison was born and raised in Greenville County, SC. She began writing as a teen-ager. In 2005 her first novel Baring it All was published by Publish America under her birth name Gena L. Garrison.
However as she continued writing she felt she could no longer write stories that involved explicit sex and violence. She could only write what God told her to write. God gave her stories of everyday people who have faults, struggles, and sometimes pain but they continue to trust in God to get them through. With God’s guidance a new author was born. Following her transformation as he did with Saul, God gave her a new name Zaria, which means new beginnings.
Zaria is also part owner and staff writer for EKG Literary magazine. An online magazine dedicated to being the pulse of the literary community. It can be read online at www.ekgliterarymag.com

Zaria took the story of the Prodigal son from the Bible with identical twin sisters who love the same man. What can secrets do and living on a lie can hurt others (Family)? This is a must read. She is an author to look out for in the Christian Fiction literature.

Reading this book was quite thought provoking around several issues.

So many issues between so many people. Yet, I could identify with the issue and the character. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This was a very interesting book. It started off kind of slow, and I wanted to put it down. The only reason that I didn’t is because mom said that it was a good book. I liked that the book seemed as though it should end but then the author added a twist every time. I also liked that the author incorporated a lot of different aspects of life causing the reader to have to think about what was going on. I did not like how long it took the book to actually get started or how many times things seemed to be going right but ended up going wrong. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes drama and a lot of it.

I didn't really like the book when I first started reading it; I didn't like the family drama. I could kind of tell that the author wasn't use to writing Christian fiction. At times, the characters were a bit unreasonable and unsympathetic. As I continued to read, the characters became more realistic and understanding of each other. I loved the story of forgiveness, and the way that the book ended was definetly worth reading.

What do you do when your identical twin sister is willing to go to almost any length to take your place as the woman in your husband's life? "Prodigal" is the first book I read by Zaria Garrison. It will not be my last. I don't recall reading a Christian Fiction that was so good. It read like a good drama. There were unexpected twists in the story. There was one twist in the story that I wish was not included. It is a story about how secrets and lies can alter or destroy relationships. It is also about seeking God's help when someone you love cause you extreme hurt and all you want to do is dismiss them from your life, however as followers of Christ we are called to forgive and to love them.
