Okay, what can I say. This book has it all for me. Action, subspecies, smut. Now also its a love gap. Natalia is a bad ass and she is not what you think a mafia princess should be. Matteo is a typical mafia male guy. I need more on their relationship and how they deal with everything the world throws their way. This is my favorite quote by natalia "I'm playing the game and helping you so I can get back home. No one ever expects the pawn to have a mind of their own. Well, I'm no pawn but the Queen."

I was craving a Mafia book,

I am excited for you all to read this book,
Mateo is a 40 year old who is in an arranged marriage with Natalia that her dad set up for her, Mateo is not very nice when they first meet to Natalia and so she bonds more towards Mateo's best friend Lorenzo, since Mateo is hooking up with the maid Natalie doesn't like this so she is taken to Mateo's club and she meets this guy who finds her attractive but Mateo doesn't like the way they are together so he kills him, and then she kills the maid, and then they find out Mateo's ex is pregnant souposedly with his baby, and then they talk to Dante the sister of the ex and he says something to Natalie and threatens her saying that she won't survive in another environment, and then Natalie is so insecure that Mateo is going to be hooking up with other people and this conflict doesn't get resolved until halfway through the first couple chapters, and then we find out that Mateo's ex is gunned down and killed donte thinks Mateo killed his sister but we find out Natalie's dad had someone kill her for her wedding present, and Natalie gets drugged and taken to dante and he wants to play games with her the first night she's with him and this is where I got hooked into the book and was like ok how does she get out of this situation and survive, an FBI agent is undercover and is on Dante's security team, and so he helps Natalie through this he was her number one person through this and he helped her get in contact with her husband, within the 48 hours Mateo, kills kidnaps and kills again but you find out that Natalie knows Italian well you knew it from the beginning but that's how she helps dean the FBI agent get information on the sex trafficking, and so her and Dean get out with the help from Mateo and Lorenzo take her home and they live happily ever after, 5/5 stars

Absolutely an amazing dark romance book. You can feel love for each other in this book. This book draws you in were you can't put the book down.. loved the 🔥 parts. Nat is so sweet and strong and protective. Matty and Lorenzo how they treat Nat is so sweet. After they get to know each other. The violence even good. Fantastic book need to read. ARC review.

Thank you to the author for this ARC copy! SPOILERS::::: Oh my gosh…. This book was so good! I really enjoyed the story and the development of the characters. This is a book where trigger warnings and tags need to be read. It took me a chapter or two to get into the story but after that I was hooked. The dynamic between Natalia and Lorenzo was so sweet at the start. She needed some one to be her friend and he was there. Then Mateo finally coming a round just made it better. Ok spoilers are coming.

So the first part of the book I was not the biggest fan of Mateo’s character. He kept talking about how his dad was and how it hurt his mom but yet he was acting just like him. I danced a little happy dance when Nat stabbed the maid in the eyeball for this reason. This was the first mafia romance I have read where the MFC is so young but the way she develops throughout the book she is more mature in a lot of ways than her age. I didn’t realize that there was possible going to be more in their story so I’m excited to see what happens next.

Natalia is just a pawn in the mafia game. Her father sells her off to another mafia family because of her lineage and business dealings. Matteo has little to no interest is marrying what he considers to be an 18yr old brat. Little does he know Natalia is a strong FMC with fire and strong will. Matteo treats her like garbage and his 2nd in charge Lorenzo feels a strong pull towards her.
All 3 ultimately come together and would do anything for one another. There is a great deal of misunderstanding and drama along the way.
This is my favorite of this authors books. I loved the strength of the FMC and how she could bring a man to their knees. I enjoyed how Matteo went from a manwhore to a “perfect” husband.
This was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me

Dark Romance: Check the trigger warnings.
Underestimated FMC. She is forced to marry the MMC who is about 20 years older who is only getting married to produce a legitimate heir, which she learns the night of the wedding when he choses to spend it with someone else. He is a jealous possesive alpha-hole male when she decides she wants a man that wants her. (I swear I wanted to throat punch this man) MMC best friend who has troulbe bonding with people due to childhood trauma starts to develop a connection with FMC, which is reciprocated due to MMC treatment. When MMC decides to give FMC a chance and admit he wants her after best friend calls him out and the FMC does something that proves she is not the docile,submissive wife he thought he was getting. When FMC is kidnapped as payment/revenge by the MMC rival she shows how strong and resilient she really is. Plot twist in this book were amazing. This book was definitely worth reading, it was dark, captivating, and draws you in.

Eighteen year old Natalia is married off to much older Mafia leader Matteo Moretti as part of a business deal her father made. Matteo only wants Natalia to birth and heir to his empire. Natalia wants to feel wanted.
I have never been disappointed with any of the books I have read from A. Riebold. Mafia Pawn is her best one yet! I loved that the story focused on the actions of the younger bratty female lead character and her blossoming into a strong and self confidant person and wife. Natalia's part in the story was never overshadowed by the male Mafia characters. The is mild amount of violence that is not graphically described. Even though there is many many many spicy scenes within the book, I would still only give the book a medium spice level.
I highly recommend Mafia Pawn to those who love Mafia Romance, Why Choose, Age Gap, and a Lot of Spicy Scenes in a quick read!!

This book is a mafia romance where despite her circumstances the FMC is determined to live her life they way she wants to. This is an age gap arranged marriage where the FMC is used as a pawn between multiple parties. I loved how strong willed the FMC was and her personal growth from bratty pawn to ruthless queen. The MFM was a nice touch for the spiciness.

I loved the beginning of this book feeling like a Cinderella story and ending in a happily ever after. I love their story and how they grew from page one to the end.

I had a love/hate relationship with Matteo. He turned around, but, he was still a dick in the beginning! Incredible story, heartbreaking but with a HEA. Ash knows how to break your heart & put it back together. I have loved all her books, and will continue to read anything she writes. Check the listy, there may be some content that could be unsettling for some. This is Age Gap, arranged marriage, and MMF.

This book had me from the jump off. It was a great read. I read it all in one day. If you love mafia themed romances, this is one you definitely don’t wanna miss. Just be mindful of the trigger warnings because the action was very intense but lended itself to the storyline beautifully.
Natalia was a beautiful and strong character in a man’s world. I’m only sad there’s not a second book because I want more of their story. This was an amazing book probably one of the best ones I’ve read in a very long time. Definitely worth the read.

Great first book
- This book had me hooked from the beginning. Natalia is being forced into a marriage with a mafia don. He is older and doesn’t really want the marriage and that is evident in how he treats her. She starts to find comfort in other places and one of those is with the second in command. Seeing the progression of both relationships was great. The twists in the story took a dark turn. I was not expecting some of them and the storyline kept me on my toes. The book ends with a HFN and I know the author teased a possible duet and that would be great. I would love to see where Dean’s character can come into play. 😉

I will say that the pacing was fast and straight to the point. I’ve definitely read another book with the same premise before. I didn’t dislike it but, it was nothing new under the sun. The MC “giggling” all the time was kinda overkill!

Wow OK then...
I normally won't leave a review with only 3 stars ... I couldn't believe when I saw the 5 stars, but hey, different strokes and all .... I gave 3 stars --- two for actually being brave enough to write and publish and one for an actual good premise. I felt the author forced so many cliches on us and ruahed the whole story there was no back story on the young MFC it opens on her wedding day, then the MMC and his damaged friend, submissive, punishment, sex club, cheating, mafia, terrible family ... like the book had to have everything rather than focus on a few things. Things happen so fast (the whole story done in 6 months). The MFC did stupid stupid things that a sheltered 18 y/o girl wouldn't if she grew up in the world. Day 2 of the marriage she is begging him to treat her like a true wife and mouthing off ... picking someone up and going to his place. It had so much promise but I spent to much time stopping to highlight to puck at what happened or post an eyeroll over the words and actions of all this I finally had to just stop or it would have taken weeks to finish. It could have been great, but pushing everything into just one book was not needed. The nicknames that arrived so quickly Nat and seriously Mat and Matty is just not how I see a supposed Mafia Boss. Lots of grinning and chuckling and winking

Natalia is given to Matteo in marriage a man twice her age and they don't habe the best of starts, when his ex comes along pregnant and ends up dead her brother Dante takes Natalia, will it take that for Mateo to realise what he wants and then add in Lorenzo and an undercover agent how will they fair? Well written dark themes, violence and more!.
