The one thing you need to know about me is I’ve never been a damsel in distress.
Arrogant. Antihero. Assassin.
I may be a woman but I’m lethal. My code-name is 15.
The day I turned fifteen was when my life changed forever. Ronan Murphy sent his men to tear me away from my home by using any force necessary. For survival I put a bullet in their head, but not before they wreaked permanent destruction. From that day on, I was eternally changed. Fast forward to my twenty-eighth birthday, where I gave myself the ultimate present... I ended Ronan Murphy’s life. To celebrate, I was on the prowl for a one-night stand. I met him at a bar. He’s strong and sexy. We hit it off immediately. He’s name was Ben Pearson. Ben was exactly what I needed to scratch my itch...until he told me he’s the police chief in Bankstown Creek, the town I was taken from. So, I did the only thing I could, I left. I never wanted to see him again; obviously it’s too dangerous for me. My life doesn’t need that level of complication. I would’ve stayed gone, but now I’ve been hired for a new job. A hit on a cop - Ben Pearson. I’m to return to my hometown and assassinate him. Problem is, I’m not sure I can.

NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING AUTHOR OF UGLY AND MISTRUST
I’m a two-time New York Times bestselling author for my stand-alone books Ugly and Mistrust. To date I’ve published over 30 books! I’m first generation Australian born and live in Sydney with my husband, two daughters and my rescue-dog, Kingston! I love to write stories to connect my readers to my strong, courageous characters…with some spice sprinkled between the pages. The characters I write about can pop into my mind anytime and anywhere. From the shower, to washing dishes, playing with my puppy or even in my dreams. My characters can sometimes be intrusive, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you for taking this journey with me and I truly hope you love reading my stories as much as I love writing them.
An assassin and cop meet in a bar. Seriously. Anna and Ben have chemistry from the moment they meet, but it’s more than that when Anna is contracted to kill him. This was a great plot driven read with the forbidden instant feelings.
Dark, fast-paced, and addictive. Hit 149 pulled me in with its badass female assassin, intense action, and emotional undercurrent. Anna is ruthless but layered, the perfect balance for a heroine.
This book gave me major Mindf*ck vibes—but let’s be honest, Mindf*ck is in a league of its own, nothing touches S.T. Abby’s series. Still, if you’re into morally gray heroines, revenge, and romance wrapped in bullets, this is a solid pick.
“I was created by pain, molded by loss, and strengthened by vengeance.”
Not my most favourite book by this author but an enjoyable read. I expected more spice, a bit more depth which came a little late in the story and a bit of a happier ending, though, I do love the premise of another instalment to this story.
I love a book with a bit of grit and this book sure had it in spades but editing/proofing let this book down and I thought the plot could have been a little deeper.
I was hoping it would be more realistic, but I can't say I'm disappointed with the story or the characters. The action is well choreographed, the characters feel real, the editing is clean, and the spices are hot. There is some suspense too. A fun read.
It’s definitely different from anything I have read so far from Margaret McHeyzer. I certainly like her range. From Romance and Drama to Intense life situations and now Action packed badass female hit man. It’s worth the read.
Wow!! This series was quite amazing and I definitely want to be 15 in another life. He story was freaking amazing and Dean was definitely swoon worthy! Love the dynamic of this story! Love love ❤️
So good! I love me a cold assassin with childhood trauma finally meeting the one, silently freaking out about it and killing the baddies to protect him. If that sounds good to you, read it.
This is definitely my kind of book. Woman being a badass assassin with lots of action meet a cute friendly cop. But the ending was really bad. Nah disappointed

I enjoyed Hit 149 by Margaret McHeyzer. 15 (Anna) was a very good heroine- she was lethal and strong and it was good to see how she worked and getting to know her team. Ben was a good hero he’s very caring and obviously had a connection to Anna straight away. He and Anna had a connection from the start you could tell.
I Really enjoyed this story about assassin Anna and her one-night-stand Ben. After her latest hit, Anna wanted to blow off some steam and get laid. Unbeknownst to get at the time, her conquest Ben would be her next contracted hit. 🔥read.
