The Order of Eden is expanding their reach. The Renegade Captain Jacob Valent can’t gather enough large starships to fight them on their own terms, so he turns to his old friend and his band of pilots. Wing Commander Minh-Chu and Samurai Squadron have proven that a small fighter can do incredible damage and disappear before it's overwhelmed before, and everyone is depending on them to do it again.

Randolph Lalonde's style of writing or masterful story telling allows you to slip right back into the story where the last Broadcast left off. As we continue this stage of the adventure I was expecting this to be all about Minh-Chu Bu and Samurai Squardons missions and commbat encounters, I couldn't have been more wrong. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty on-the-edge-of-your-seat moments, but also there are moments of unexpected nostalgia, and, of course, the wonderful wisdom and humour of Minh-Chu himself. With so many unexpected surprises throughout the story believe me when I say you won't see the unexpected end that leaves us hanging on by the skin our teeth waiting on the next book in the trilogy.
I've been following Spinward for years and it's still amazing ! The depth of thought, how so many plots, characters and worlds keep retouching the current plot, it's just unput downable. The sheer size of the Spinward fringe is as unfathomable as the sky at night. Recommend this to any fans of R E Feist, C Barker , anyone who reads off earth fantasy will love this.
Another good installment in an excellent series, good development of characters, and plot. The universe is taking shape, and growing quickly. I would have like a little more, was disappointed that we stopped where we did, felt like a chapter break rather than a book. Please encourage Mr. Lalonde to stretch it out give us a larger meal next time.
Once again Randolph Lemonade does not disappoint, and leaves you eager for the next broadcast!
Once again Randolph does not disappoint, penning another amazing thrill ride that leaves you eager for the next broadcast (Samurai Squadron II) I am hopelessly and wonderfully hooked:)
I can't get enough of this entire series. All of them are well thought out with amazing characters that keep getting better. I am excited to see what awaits in the next book.
I really enjoy how broadcast 18 fleshes out a storyline that centers on ronin. He’s such a great character and it’s good to see his point of view as he navigates the latest role and missions given to him
One of the better installments in the last few go arounds. Some action some continuing setup, on both good side and bad side and I think we'll see some good action coming up in the near future in further installments.
I'm very picky when it comes to the sci-fi I actually read. I'm now some 20+ books into this series. I've been reading since the very first book came out. That alone speaks volumes as to how good this author is.
Randolph Lalonde reminds me of Science Fiction like Doc Smith and Robert Heinlein Great Adventures with the addition of character development that makes his books seem very realistic
Such a great book as always cap makes the book fun and a page turner, nice to see more of some old friends again. Love the space combat scenes. Can’t wait for the next one!
