A decade-long secret. A devastating betrayal. And a chance to return to the place—and the boy—she left behind.
Leah Turner had it all—a happy marriage of twenty-five years, two grown children, and a flourishing career in her best friend’s business.
Until she found out the truth about what happened thirteen years ago.
Blindsided, Leah is left to pick up the pieces, and her suitcase, and return to the seaside town she once called home. There, familiar faces and white-sand beaches await, along with a chance to heal… and reconnect with the boy she used to love.
Now, Leah is faced with an impossible the life she’s built for herself, or the one she’s left behind?
Lose yourself in the sun-drenched days and bonfire nights of stunning Crystal Bay, and fall in love with the people who live there as they navigate life’s celebrations and challenges. This clean, romantic women’s fiction series is ideal for readers of all ages.
Author’s This is a continuing series that follows the lives and loves of the residents of Crystal Bay and is best read in order.
I hate this type of book where one is forced to buy the next set of (expensive) books in the hope that one will be provided with answers . I wouldn’t have bothered starting reading this if I had known this.
It was a very light read but entertaining. I love to read anything that has a beach theme. Iam going to order the next book in the series. I do hope there are more coming up.
This is a nice enough story with interesting characters, set in a beautiful seaside town. It ticks all the boxes for a great easy summer holiday read. The problem I am having with it is that the book ends mid way through the story and if you want to know what happens next you are forced to buy the next book in the series.
It feels like the author wrote the story then chopped it into pieces and created several books. I don't mind if books are part of a series but I think it's better if each story is wrapped up a little at the end of the book so that it can be read as a stand alone and the readers are not left hanging on a cliffhanger.
Really enjoyed reading this. I do feel that it was lacking a few things in this book that I hope will be cleared up in the next ones. Things such as, did they tell the children, what were their reactions. Did they actually get a divorce. Do Ben actually get her in the end. I do feel like we needed to know their ages to a degree also. What was Jace's eeaction when he found out who his dad is and how that dynamic is now. It feels a little unfinished. Aside from all of that. I did really enjoy enjoy reading it.
This was a really enjoyable book. The characters seemed so real as well as their actions. It was heartbreaking as well as uplifting. It showed how we really never know someone, even though we think we do. I’m looking forward to reading more about them in the next book.
Leahs husband and her best friend shock her with the news that they had a child together thirteen years earlier. She retreats to her childhood home to try to come to terms with it. To complicate matters further she reconnects with her first love there. It is an interesting story but comes with a cliffhanger.
This was really great book. However, I wish there could have been a little more to the finality of the marriage. Did he realize what absolute jerk he was to her and how letting her continue the relationship with her friend for 13 years is unforgivable. Will move on to the second book to see if a follow-up is included. I need complete closure.
This is just a cute little beach read. Woman wronged by the man she thought she loved after 25 years - she finds out about a pretty big secret kept from her for 13 years. So = she moves back to her home town and meets up with her teen-age flame who has been waiting for her apparently. A quick read and nice little past time.
Meh. A marriage of 25 years and her husband cheated on her with her best friend. Not much more substance beyond that. Children are mentioned only in phone calls and not developed as characters.Beat friend is mentioned once after the revelation and not mentioned again. So many missed opportunities for character development.

This book was a very good novel. It spoke about love, happiness, family and then completely devastating heartbreak. How one person learned how to deal with the grief, hurt and anger and survived.
This was a very good short story about real life marital issues that a lot of people have today. I love the characters and I can’t wait to hear more about the little beach town called Crystal Bay.
Money making scheme. Give me a book not an hour long soap opera. Not a bunch of short stories that never end and cost $5 for every installment. Glad I didn't pay for this and get caught up in the cycle.
Heartbreakingly thought-provoking and unpredictably engrossing story about an unexpected, unempathetic, inconsiderate act in the life of a strong, independent, and determined woman!
