Marvelous Miller Mysteries

Wow! Everyone of these mysteries were chock full of tension, personal turmoil, suspense, and terror. DI Tanya Miller is a flawed woman,as are we all, and that is what resonated with me. Trying to cope with the effects of a loveless childhood, over the top sibling rivalry, and her inability to make personal connections doesn't stop Miller from solving some seriously scary, and tangled murders! Twists and turns abound in each mystery, but that doesn't stop the feisty and tenacious Miller from solving them. Great mystery series!

Just finished reading the first book in this series which I loved. Don’t read much crime but it reminded me of Peter Robinson inspector Banks series. Set in the Oxfordshire country there is a strong sense of place. The plot is old fashioned police procedural but like Robinson the author depicts strong characterisation and makes Tanya seem very human. The plot is nice and simple at the same time creating suspense through out. It’s a very well structured story and the crime is credible and original.
Good writing through out with some nice descriptions.
Possibly a third Police character could be developed in future but Tanya and Charlie are great.

Good read Good characters

Ms. Dickson has a way with who dun-it and character development. This series is an easy read, but don’t let that fool you…the tales are well told with a good twist at the end.

Three good stories

I enjoyed all three stories, but in my opinion the last was the best. I the main character, even with all faults
