Lake Spark #2

Worth the Chance

Rate this book
Baseball star Spencer Crews knows April can’t stand him, yet his proposition of temporarily living together is the biggest curveball of his career…

Making a certain kind of video with my enemy (who happens to be everyone’s favorite baseball player) was not my proudest moment, but I blame the alcohol for Spencer’s smirk three seconds before our clothes ended up on the floor for our one-night mistake. He said he deleted the video, which is why I didn’t expect the jerk to interrupt my date a few months later to break the news that we have a problem. His solution is to avoid the press by staying at his lake house to hide away and I stupidly agree.

The next thing I know, I have two tiny eyes staring at me.

Yep, I discover Spencer is a hot single dad to a cute little girl secret. And that’s not the only twist, because the small town by the lake seems to bring us closer; all of us. Spencer and my arguments fizzle out, and our looks grow longer. We talk like it matters and study one another’s bodies. It feels like we are in our own little world. And in the end, I’m not sure if it’s Spencer or me who’s trying to convince us we may just be worth the chance…

Spencer and April bring the banter and steam in this enemies to lovers, single dad, and completely swoon worthy forced proximity story. Worth the Chance is book two in the standalone interconnected Lake Spark series. For lovers of small-town romance with a touch of sports.

Evey writes heartwarming romances with steamy moments, often in small-town settings with an element of sports. An American from the Midwest, she now lives in a tiny country in Europe where it rains a lot. That is probably why she occupies her days typing away on her laptop with music on repeat and slow-roast coffee nearby. Oh, and she vows to never break up with cake.

4 stars!

The second book in the Lake Spark series, this is a fun and feisty enemies-to-lovers, single dad, forced-proximity, sports romance full of snark and passion, with a gorgeous love story.

Spencer and Abigail know each other through his friend and neighbours, Hudson and Piper from book #1 (Worth the Risk). They hate each other with a passion, but one drunken night all of that passion spills over into steamy hate sex before they both go their separate ways. It’s a few weeks later when Spencer tracks Abigail down to let her know that his phone was hacked and the video they made that night (still not sure how that came about!) may be about to go public. He offers to take her to his lake house to lay low and deal with the legal stuff together, and she agrees.

It’s a fun set up, and I was fully on board and enjoying the constant snark and banter, and with Spencer’s dirty flirting, the sexual tension is fiery, with lots of almost moments that keep the chemistry simmering. Things take an interesting twist when Spencer’s six year old daughter arrives to spend the off-season with her dad. Abigail gets to see Spencer in the role of doting father, and as little Hadley bonds with Abigail, it changes the dynamic of the house, and Abigail and Spencer’s relationship shifts along with it.

“To my utter dismay, you’re getting under my skin in a way that I’m not used to.”
Fear that he may have regretted last night fades, and my body softens into his words. “Likewise.”
“Something is shifting.”
“I agree.”

From enemies, to enemies-who-want-each-other, to friends, to friends-with-benefits, to more, we follow Spencer and Abigail’s relationship as it easily and naturally changes. Their feelings for each other grow effortlessly, and I loved watching them just go with it and enjoy exploring each other through all of the shifts in their relationship. And their sweet family dynamic together is just gorgeous.

They do have some things to work through, which make sense to the story, and which are resolved well, but on the whole there is very little angst, just lots of flirting, fun moments, steamy time and swoon as these two fall so easily for each other.

“I don’t want to lose you, so here I am, leaving no stone unturned, because you and me? We’re worth the chance.”

The epilogue finishes the story of beautifully, and that bonus scene is an absolute winner! I loved these two characters, and loved seeing them get their HEA.

Hudson and Piper from the first book appear, and I loved seeing them again. And there are hints for the third and final book in the series featuring the third of the boys to have a house on the block, Ford, and I cannot wait for his second-chance-romance.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s lots of fun and a gorgeous read!

April and Spencer have an adversarial relationship. They bicker and they taunt each other whenever they are together.
He’s a pro baseball star who’s intermeshed with her family and friends so they are forced to be around one another at parties and other functions.
The story is banter- filled with the explosive enemies to lovers tension.
I love the back and forth, the quips are clever and fast. It’s so incredibly entertaining.
Their fighting becomes a part of their foreplay as they continue to act as though they can’t stand each other, yet they hookup and… Oops! They recorded it!
You can see where this is headed. A hack occurred, and a possible leak and PR nightmare is threatened. So, Spencer convinces April to leave the city and stay at his lake house in case it all blows up and draws media attention.
Forced proximity with enemies and former hook-up partners…the tension is fantastic!
Another surprise arrives in the form of Spencer’s young daughter, Hadley who’s been kept a bit of a secret.
It adds an interesting dynamic, it’s harder to be snarky with a little girl around, and yet they manage to and it’s a bit lighter, fun and cute with her there to temper their words.
Their vibe begins to change and the way April plays a part in the father/daughter relationship is really lovely and emotional, I absolutely loved the way it played out in subtle ways.
The romance is multifaceted as they were faux enemies at the beginning, I love the journey of the characters. There’s a lot of humor and snark balanced with softer, sweeter emotions that make it a fantastic balance.
I really love these characters, their story was so entertaining, engaging and heartwarming.
This is a new to me author that I will definitely be reading more of.

I loved the dialog in this enemies to more story. From broken engagements to secrets, April is looking to escape for an evening, but alcohol makes for bad decisions, and she makes a doozy. What should have been one night, becomes a complication when Spencer gets hacked. Despite being a public figure Spencer is very protective of his private life. He and April need to lay low in Lake Spark, until his lawyers clear things up.

But with the forced proximity and Spencer’s amazing kitchen, will the hate become passion? We also catch teases of the next story in the series.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Nope, not in a million years.

If there's anything I hate more than promiscuous heroines in my romance reads it's gotta be promiscuous heroines who are dumb enough to make a sex tape.
Or send nudes, or girls who sleep around like I change my socks.
Nope.
That ain't me.

I hate this with all my heart.
That's why I have no intentions of reading this and wasting my time or money.

I ended up not finishing. I found April to be annoying as shit. She had no job as she was taking a sabbatical after her fiancée dumped her. She was just snarky all the time yet she thought she was cute. Their reason for being together didn't really make sense to me.

The enemies to lovers was cute, the single dad and background story was nice. But It just wasn't really my cup of tea. Maybe a little too predictable? But I did love the writing style. Its simple and I can keep reading.

All alone, after the baby shower, to beat all baby showers for April‘s best friend and uncle. Hey, it isn’t often that your best friend is having a baby with your uncle/godfather—the great Hudson Arrows, football coach extraordinaire, living there part-time in Lake Spark, Illinois. Being a twenty-six-year-old woman with a good accounting job, she thought she had it all together. A good job, a fiancée, and good family and friends. It was all smoke and mirrors. That's when she was told by her ex that she was no longer the woman he was looking for.

The big engagement party they had just had was a farce. Then, she had found out about her best friend sneaking around with her uncle behind her back, and a fall happened. And everyone she thought she loved and said that they loved her had lied to her. Once she realized she was better off without Jeff, who wanted to be married to a liar and a cheater anyway? As far as Piper and her uncle, she can’t deny just how happy they look when they are together. She knows her ex never looked at her the way her uncle looks at Piper.

She knew she needed a change, so she quit her job. She was the last to leave the baby shower at the Dizzy Duck Inn. It’s been years since she’s done ballet. She let her feet gravitate into their dance, the knee-length teal dress swaying out perfectly and making her want to watch the fabric flow. April’s not sure why, at that moment, dance is calling to her, but someone was calling out to her. “April.” That tone fills her with dread. Exactly what she needed tonight: baseball royalty rolling in. “Spencer.” “I love that you dislike me so much.”

He shared that there was construction going on at his house. That he might have a spa day tomorrow with a hot masseuse before he heads deep into baseball season, so he’s staying there that night. Hudson had texted him, I thought he forgot some gift in the room, some silver duck or something.” She had an instant dislike, mostly because Spencer possessed a smug smirk that she just wanted to… Some guys thought it was their ticket to everything, but for April, she just found it as him judging her, talking down to her, and heckling her.

She put out her champagne glass, and he filled it. In a bizarre twist, she trusts the man in a "he would keep me safe" kind of way, but she doesn’t trust… herself around Spencer Crews, star pitcher of the Bluelights. “You walk around all holier than thou, and your boyfriend at the time is the kind of jackass that will cheat on his future wife and only look out for himself. The air in the room evaporates, and he instantly seems to regret his words, as his cocky demeanor fades into almost remorse. He's close with Hudson and Piper, which means they must update him on her life.

“Well… the joke is on me then, right?” She says softly. Spencer steps closer. “I’m sorry. That was… out of line.” “It’s the truth, isn’t it? If only I had known then what you so wisely figured out. I mean, I could have saved myself an entire engagement.” She fakes a laugh. She walks past him and straight to the window overlooking Lake Spark; the sun is setting, which casts an orange and purple hue across the sky. Time seems to be still as she tries to forget the fact that she would've had a wedding coming up if it weren't for Jeff deciding that she’s not what he needs.

“Here.” “Did you add poison?” She wondered. “Nah, to have me in your company is probably agonizing enough.” She straightened her posture and took the glass. “Right. We irritate each other.” From there, he insults her for acting like a child. She tells him to forgive her for her loss of patience, mainly with jerks who play baseball. On that note, he leaves her to it. Until she comes looking for the cake, the staff delivered it to the wrong room, his. With her buzz and love of cake, she was on a mission to get that cake back.

She starts eating it in Spencer's room, then one thing leads to another on video. They thought they had erased it. Fun book. These two are on fire together. The banter is so good together. His secret makes all the difference in the world.

Enemies to Lovers perfection ❤️

Enemies to lovers can be so hard to get right. They say there’s a thin line between love and hate, but often it seems to be an unbelievable leap. I love that this did not feel that way. It felt believable and organic, not forced or contrived. April and Spencer were like oil and water- they bickered endlessly. Like, seating arrangements at a gathering had to be changed so they weren’t near each other. She was sure he was an egotistical jerk and had no problem letting him know it. She is exceptionally stubborn and opinionated. One alcohol infused night, and a video recording of the two of them later, and they find themselves forced together for damage control when his cloud is hacked and he hadn’t deleted the video.

These two… man, I loved them together. Their banter and bickering was spot on. While they lofted a few well placed barbs that hit some tender spots for the other on occasion, they weren’t cruel. That’s where I struggle with some stories, as it makes it hard to believe the switch from hatred to swoon. Once they were forced together, they were given a chance to see a side of the other they hadn’t seen before. And Spencer had a secret side he had kept hidden well from just about everyone. I loved watching their relationship change and grow. I had a brief moment where I was sure she was going to ruin things for me. If you’ve read the first book, you know her history. It’s mentioned in this book, so you don’t have to have read them in order, but you get a fuller understanding if you do. In that book, she deals with the implosion of her engagement and then finding out her best friend is seeing her uncle behind her back. She goes all OTT imo when she finds out. I was sure this was going to be a repeat based on her immediate reaction, but was pleasantly surprised to find she was appropriately responsive 😉.

This book kept me pulled in from start to finish, and I had to read it in one go. There’s so much 🔥🔥, lots of witty banter and smexual tension, plenty of swoon, and you will be glad you went along for the ride.

I really like Evey Lyon's writing, the way she brings out the humor and sarcasm in her characters, just writing my review I'm smiling at all the banter I've read between April and Spencer.

They can't stand each other, but after a wild night together, they have to deal with a major problem, which is where this book starts to get most interesting. I love stories with enemies-to-lovers, and in this story I wasn't disappointed at all, add to that a forced closeness and I'm in.

Spencer is a baseball player who returns to Lark Spark during the off-season. He doesn't get along with April, but after a certain video threatens to go public, he tries to convince her to stay with him at his house until the problem is resolved. Once April agrees to this stupid idea, she discovers another version of Spencer and some of his secrets... Like the fact that he's a single dad.

April is at a point in her life where she doesn't really know what to do with her career, but she's trying to start a book blog. She takes advantage of Spencer's kitchen to try out new recipes and cook for him and Hadley. I loved how Hadley, Spencer's daughter, quickly became attached to April and loved having her around, even though April isn't exactly a child-loving person.

I loved the back-and-forth between them. The way they hate each other while trying to fight their attraction. It was steamy, funny, and I really loved their story.

It's definitely a book to read because by the end of it, I felt really good.

(I listened to the audio book and didn't really like the voices, I preferred the book. I found that the voices, especially Spencer's, were not appropriate).

Oh my gosh, I can’t even begin to express how much I loved this book, but I’m definitely going to try!

“Worth the Chance” is an enemies to lovers romance featuring Spencer and April, two people who start off hating each other but then become so much more.

Spencer and April’s banter throughout the novel was absolutely freaking hilarious; it was definitely one of the highlights of reading this, at least for me!

There is so much more to Spencer than I originally thought - he’s a little cocky, yea, but he also has some insecurities, especially concerning his relationship with his daughter, Hadley.

I felt bad for April because she had had a bad year, but I was so excited when things started happening with her and Spencer because I truly believe she was a good person who deserves true happiness.

I also loved that April didn’t just fall in love with Spencer; she also grew to care about Hadley too. The three of them became a family, even if neither Spencer nor April were originally planning on that.

All in all, I thought this book was amazing. It was the perfect mix of humor and angst, and I would recommend to fans of sports romance and/or the single dad trope!

Audiobook review: Narrated by TJ Clark and Louise Brenner

4 stars for story / 4.5 stars for narration

Enemies to lovers
Grumpy/grumpier
Single dad
Relationship of convenience
Forced proximity
Sports romance

Spencer and April find themselves in a precarious situation when a his cloud gets hacked and video has the potential to be leaked. They are forced together for appearances and as a result, April finds out there’s a lot more about to the arrogant baseball player she loves to hate. My favorite part of this story is the snarky banter between the two and any scene that has Hadley in it.

The narration aspect of this book was a lot of fun. As mentioned, there was a lot of banter between the MCs and it was real fun to experience it in audio. Louise Brenner did an amazing job bringing April characters to life. She also did a great job with the male and child voices. TJ Brenner was new to me and he also did a good job as Spencer. I do recommend speeding up the listening speed on this one to enhance the experience a bit.

Spencer is a professional baseball player and a single dad to his six-year-old daughter Hadley. Every time that Spencer and Abigail interact the sparks of antagonism ignite until it combusts into a steamy night together. When the videotaping of that night could be compromised, he arranges for Abigail to stay with him as if it is exposed it will be easier for both of them if they appear to be a couple.

Abigail thinks she knows the type of man that Spencer is, but she is about to learn how wrong she is when she sees him with his daughter. Spending time together the chemistry between them reignites however secrets from the past and trust issues could destroy the new relationship they are building.

The relationship that Abigail and Spencer shared is swoony and the relationship they had with Hadley is heartwarming as they find love where they least expect it. I did enjoy the performance of the narrators as they ensured that the banter between the characters was entertaining and humorous.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series so I’m pretty disappointed that this one wasn’t just as good. I didn’t think they had chemistry. They fought so much and then randomly they seemed to be over it and falling in love. I did enjoy the banter with Hadley. I thought she was cute. But it bugged me in the begging when his mom dropped her off and he was so standoffish with her. He seemed to not know what he was doing as a dad and frankly didn’t seem to really want to put in the work. At the end of the story there’s a twist with Hadley that I thought was kind of out of the blue and dramatic. I also didn’t love how he doesn’t plan on telling Hadley about the truth of her life and who she was before she was two. I’m hoping the third book in the series is more like the first.
I listed to this one on audio and I also didn’t love the narraters as much as the ones in the first book. I just felt like their voices didn’t match the characters.

“I don’t want to lose you, so here I am, leaving no stone unturned, because you and me? We’re worth the chance.”

I just loved the banter between Spencer & April and the book started out great. And I was enjoying the sexual tension and hate chemistry between them. But some parts of the book felt dragged and boring and April's whiny nature was kind of annoying. Hadley was cute but I felt like her character's full potential wasn't utilised. And April living at Spencer's house even after their matter about the "tape" was resolved and having no job was so unbelievable. The whole plot was also predictable and I only enjoyed the first and last half tbh. So overall, this was just an okay read for me.

Unexpectedly Perfect Together

Spencer and April appear to hate each other but their incessant bickering is just their form of flirting. One night their fight ends up between the sheets. They share a hot night that’s captured on video. This video is hacked from Spencer’s phone. Spencer invites April to lay low at his home. April discovers that Spencer is a single father. She gets to know another side of Spencer. He also gets to know her. They really connect but Spencer doesn’t feel worthy. April also has trust issues. They somehow manage to figure it out . I loved this story. 4.5 stars.

3.5 Stars!

Tropes: Forced proximity, Single dad, Sports romance (baseball)
Triggers: None

Liked: I loved the Hadley storyline, so different from the usual single dad tropes. And she was a picky eater, unlike the picture perfect kids you usually read in books. I also really liked April, she liked to give as much as she got. And she wasn’t some weak woman pining after the H the whole time.

Disliked: I love a bit of dirty talk, but wow this guy talks how much he wants to f*** her a lot. Super romantic… Plus this is also has classic miscommunication drama, even though it doesn’t drag on like some books!

OM/OW: None. h not a virgin, H has casual relationships but not really mentioned.

Spencer is a famous Baseball star with a secret. April loathe Spencer and has always stayed away. One night a video is made that snowballs into a pr nightmare. April has to put her trust in her number 1 enemy. I loved this closed proximity enemies to lovers. You know a book is gonna be good when you feel the distaste between two characters I ate it up. Spencers family members are everything mom is the best and so is that sweet child. When the secret is out my heart broke and it slowly healed. This was a great read and I will be going back for 1 and continue with 3.

𝘌𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘦𝘴-𝘵𝘰-𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴 • 𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 • 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘹𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘺 • 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘥 • 𝘚𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦

“𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒃𝒊 𝒊𝒇 𝒂 𝒉𝒐𝒕 𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒔 𝒖𝒑 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒐𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒌?”

This Enemies-to-Lovers romance was so well done. I loved book one, but book two was somehow even better. The banter and tension were absolutely everything I could have asked for, making this such an entertaining read. Even from the small glimpses we got of these characters in book one, I already knew this story was going to hit, and it definitely delivered.

“𝑺𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒆 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆,”

Evey Lyon did a fantastic job with this book, and I can’t wait to read more of her work. I already know that once I get my hands on book three, I’m going to love it too. And honestly, who doesn’t love a good second-chance romance?

“𝑽𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒑, 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒚𝒐𝒖'𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆.” 𝑰 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒔 𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒔 𝒂 𝒈𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒖𝒑𝒃𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅. “𝑵𝒐𝒓 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍, 𝒔𝒐 𝑰 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒘𝒆 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒚𝒐𝒖'𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒑.”

This book had me laughing throughout, and I completely fell in love with the characters. After a little too much to drink, some hate sex, and a very unfortunate videotape, things turn into a PR nightmare for Spencer. To control the fallout, April is forced to move in with him until everything is sorted out. The catch? April has hated Spencer for years, unaware that he’s also a single dad.

“𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒛𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏. 𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌, 𝑰’𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒔, 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘.”

Spencer doesn’t do relationships; his career and daughter always come first, while April is fresh out of a broken engagement… made even worse by the fact that her ex is already getting married. The forced proximity, unresolved feelings, and sizzling tension made this story impossible to put down.

“𝑳𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏, 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑰’𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒆, 𝒔𝒐 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒚 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆.”

I wanted to love this book because I loved book 1 in the series. And then I would have settled for just liking the book. However, I had to force myself just to finish the book due to the fact that the FMC is the most immature, childish, selfish person I have ever read about. I kept waiting for her to mature, no luck. I’ve never read a book where you know they’re going to end up together while also knowing the MMC would be so much better off without her.

Audio Review: Worth the Chance (Lake Spark, Book 2) by Evey Lyon, Narrated by Louise Brenner & TJ Clark

A temptation that thrives on humor and scores major points with the heart. Worth the Chance brings the flavor. With hints of spice and depth of emotion, Spencer and April are irresistible. Lyon pushes boundaries. Brenner and Clark turn heartwarming into swoonworthy fun.

Spencer, April and Pickles. Book 2 picks up with following the story of Spencer & Pickles and the enemies-to-loves, throw in a spicy video-blackmail-roommates- evolves into a fun-spicy small town romance. Spencer & April have laugh out loud banter- if you’re looking for a simple romance with a small 3rd act break up, this is it.
