Dog Training Bible, by Sarah Richey does touch on the common and basic training tenets, of which there are many, depending on your dogs breed and history. This book is a thin ninety-nine pages for all that subject matter. However, the information does provided the known best practices in summary.
My issue with this read is that naming a book a "Bible" stating "Everything You Need to Know to Raise the Best Dog Ever from Puppy to Adult Using the Power of Positive Reinforcement", implies a very comprehensive review of the how-to's. To earn the level of a "Bible" the information should be an in-depth review full of and siting examples for a number of challenging training situations. Dog training is a difficult practice even for the best behaved dog. Throw in the dogs past in a shelter, age and unknown history, it can be daunting. The purchaser of this book is probably reaching out desperately for help and hope. This book is not trash but did not rise to the "Bible" level or justify the Amazon price of $18.00. This book should be in range of $7.00 and honestly state the summarized nature of the book.
I gave this book a single star for the reasons mentioned above.
