I got two leather crafting books at Michaels a couple weeks ago because I want to learn about that subject. I have been disappointed with leather purchases recently and I thought I would just try to do the stuff myself. Specifically, a supposed leather belt from Target, a leather phone holster from K-Mart, and knee pads from Amazon. To be truthful, the knee pads are fine. I just thought if I'm going to do this, I might as well do the pads too. The belt was man made materials and is falling apart already, and the phone holster broke on day two. Anyway, I thought I would get specific info on leather crafting. I was initially disappointed because I didn't think I was getting enough info to start doing the projects. However, like a book about electric motors I read a few months ago, I was able to picture myself doing some of the stuff after reading some of the material. I intend to take some kind of lessons to augment the book but I think I got a nice knowledge base as a primer.
