I had never heard of the Thomas Cook travel book series, until I was sent a copy as a gift by a cousin in Poland. I found it to be a great complimentary resource to my Lonely Planet guide. What it lacks in fine detail, it makes up for it with excellent design, and a concise breadth that manages to cover the entire country without outstaying its welcome.
