This thing between us...it's just physical. So, don't blur the rules. Keep your feelings to yourself. And whatever you do...don't fall.Depending on others has never been Tessa’s strong suit. Now she’s lost the one person she knew she could count on. Moving forward won’t be easy. Letting someone new in? That will be downright impossible.Lane has spent years jumping through hoops to be the man everyone wants him to be only to crash and burn. He has no plans to rise from the ashes. He intends to disappear. To escape everyone’s expectations and the charade he let his life become. But his quiet hideout turns to chaos when Tessa shows up in the middle of the night, clobbering him with her umbrella. To be fair, he’s naked. And as it turns out… in her apartment.Despite both their desires to never cross paths again, they continue to be thrust together. First as roommates. Then in his classroom. Soon, there's no denying their increasingly intense connection - even if it is just physical. And it has to be.Because it's all he's offering. And it's all her guarded heart knows how to accept. They’re convinced they’ve got everything under control but do they?It doesn't take long before the rules get blurred, feelings are revealed and hearts are on the line.Just as Tessa's about to take that big leap, everything starts to crumble around her. Old fears come creeping back, reminding her that falling means going under, getting left behind and trampled on. It’s a warning she’s heeded all her life…don’t fall. But what if just this once, there was someone there to catch her?
Dog Lover who likes her pastries full of cream and sugar...oh...and I write some ;-)
Aside from being an author, I am also a mom to a beautiful little girl. I tell everyone I named her after my great-grandmother (because that's the mature answer), but really, I named her after my favorite princess - just so happens I got lucky and they had the same name...If I wasn't a writer, I would work on a horse ranch - I'm an animal lover (in addition to dogs, horses are at the top of my list). I wear flip-flops pretty much everywhere I go. I would rather stay awake until 5 am than get up at 5 am (years of bar tending have left their mark), if I can, I'm going to the beach AND I will always be nice to people who bring me chocolate...or coffee...if you bring me both, I'll probably love you forever.
I write the way I live, following the story wherever it may lead, always ready to start the next one. This is clearly reflected in my body of work which to date includes everything from Children's Lit to Thrillers. I happily reside in sunny Florida (for now) with my daughter and three dogs.
This is an enjoyable story that I couldn’t put down. The book is heartfelt and funny with a little sass thrown in. The characters are complex and likable, I enjoyed getting to know them and seeing their story unfold. This is my first book by this author and it won’t be my last.
I received a copy of this book from the author, my review has been voluntarily submitted.
Don't Fall By: K.S. Thomas Narrated by: Stephanie Montalvo
Thrown together by fate, Tessa and Lane find themselves as unlikely roommates. Tessa has inherited the condo Lane is renting and the easiest solution is to live together. Instant heat, and a fast friendship form, but what surprise is in store next? Lane is her psychology professor. Talk about unexpected wrenches in life! Now the two have to pretend not to know each other at all as their home life begins to heat up! Neither looking for a relationship and this one with an expiration date of the lease ending, they are enjoying each other. As feelings grow though, things get more complicated. Family interference, crazy best friends, and a growing passion create a story full of angst, love and understanding. A little angst, a lot of love and a bunch of laughs all made for an enjoyable listen.
Stephanie Montalvo tells a great story. This particular book has some interesting characters from school professionals, to crazy parents to incredible best friends. Male and female, she dials into the personality and finds the best voice for each. It was very entertaining.
Tessa is a senior in college studying journalism and psychology. She's spirited, sassy, and independent. Lane is devastated by his fiance leaving right before the wedding. All he wanted was to dissapper, He moved away and took a temporary professor position teaching psychology. They met when she came home in the middle of the night. He was naked, she was wielding her umbrella to fight him off. He had a lease, she had the condo. To make things worse, she found out he is her psychology professor. Can they make this work without him losing his job, and Tessa losing her scholarship? This is a delightful, fun story, with some soul searching by both. Stephanie Montalvo is a new narrator for me. I really enjoy listening to this story. 🎧🎧AudiobookObsession🎧🎧 #PinkFlamingoProductions # theFlock
Tessa and Lane are thrust together into a roommate situation neither are prepared for or really want. Tessa is trying to get through her last year of undergrad while dealing with the storm that is her life and Lane is trying to piece his life back together after it was bulldozed by his ex fiance. What starts out as roommates soon becomes a friendship and then more but what happens when feelings grow and Tessa's past refuses to let her be happy? These two definitely have to fight to get their hea but it is totally worth it. Loved these two and all the side characters. I did not want the book to end!

Tessa comes home and finds some guy living in the apartment that was supposed to be hers. She's confused. Michael on the other hand, suggests to Tessa, that they should move in together. This was my first read from this author but I am needless to say that I was a bit disappointed. This book felt all over the place. The beginning was everywhere, describing everything without any real story, therefore 3 stars. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Very enjoyable and engaging story. Tessa and Lane are roommates. This situation was kind of forced on them. Tessa is in her last year of university and on the top of this her private life is a mess. Lane is trying to piece his life together after his ex-fiancé destroy. From friendship and HE . We going on their journey when they start, their fights to refuse and finally to admit and accept. Don’t Fall is great book.

Don't Fall tells the story of Tessa and Lane from their beginning as forced roommates to finally being so much more, once they finally admit that they have fallen.
This book is an enjoyable light read that has a good story-line, nice characters and some chemistry.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I loved the banter! There were several laughable moments in the book. I dont normally like 3rd act break-ups, but I understood this one. She was trying to protect him, and it didn't last months 😁
I wish we had Jules' reaction to them dating.
My only 2 complaints are that the BFF annoyed the fuck outta me and the friends busting into each others apartments. The friends busted in on each other, naked or mid sex took away from the uniqueness of how FMC and MMC met.
Tessa Harrison always guarded her heart from getting hurt, then she meets Michael McMichael and her world changes. Wow, what a story. Well written with well developed characters that are so much fun. No spoiler here, but you will love this story. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
this book was amazing! its about how two people meet in a wierd way. they start seeing each other only to have someone try to come in between them. plus her heart got involved which she never does. you must read this love story!
I love Tess, I love everything about her, she’s strong and stubborn and fantastic. All of the characters are wonderful, truly wonderful. The storyline is so beautiful...ugh. I want to break out in song.

Tessa and Micheal are thrown in a roommate situation they didn't expect and much less the attraction that blooms in time. They have a long road ahead will they get a HEA?

This is a funny lighthearted sometimes emotionally sad storyline. I enjoy the characters and the journey. There is great chemistry between the and characters which helps the storyline flow. A great performance from Stephanie. #PinkFlamingoProductions #FlockReview #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
Kindle- Tessa and Michael Professor/Student forced proximity Age gap I liked Michael alot. he was just a broken man. who meets a straight forward girl. He's very protective which i love. I needed more detailed smut. feel like we got robbed of the romance in that area. Overall it was super cute.
