Leanne Marshall is a Scottish-born and bred romance writer with more than average life experience. She has been a torrent of wild things, including a singer in a girl band, animal rights activist, and charity owner, worked on radio, and offered jobs on TV. A passionate, restless soul who has always found peace in writing, the only way to calm that fiery spirit. She uses her wit and dark humor to her advantage in her works and has been an avid reader for most of her life. Her influences vary, but from early life and a teen stint in journalism, she applies logic to most of her plot lines, is a confessed research fiend, and likes a lot of psychology behind her character's actions. She currently resides in Central Scotland with her two children and Fiancee of 13 years, making waves in the book world with her signature 'WTF moments' she likes to apply in each story, hints of humor, and devastating emotional rollercoaster rides. Quote from L.T. Marshall - 'Writing has always been an escape for me, loving that no matter what you are doing, where you are - you can create ideal fantasy and get lost in someone else's life. I love nothing more than drawing a reader with me on a journey that tortures your every emotion before the grand exhale.'
A sweet retrieve whilst awaiting the next installment
Well she has done it again! Loved every word as an avid soph and arry fan this read has made me fall in love with them all over again. Arry is a complex guy who struggles with what is right, reading his true emotions makes you feel closer to the pair. If you still love Jake over Arry after reading this your loco ;)
I thoroughly enjoyed the trilogy, and was anxious to see what Arry thought in some situations. I loved the Jakes perspective from the previous Carrero stories, so I was so excited to read this!
I was far from disappointed.
Once again L T Marshall has perfectly recreated the most pivotal points in the story from the opposite view, giving an entirely original twist to the series, in which we see the relationship from all angles.
Ordinarily we only see a romantic story and a situation from the one view, so in order to understand the other persons view we have them explain in a conversation. Whilst Marshall does this as well, what truly makes the series stand out is the beauty of her ability to create a situation and characters whom are so well rounded as to make you feel you could reach out and touch them.
Or in some cases, slap them.
I adored this particularly because we so rarely get the mans perspective, and seeing the situations so fully, we are more able to connect with both parties in the story, and i think it highlights very succinctly that relationships take work because we cannot read one anothers minds! And most often, taking the time to see a situation from the other persons view could show a whole other light on it.
As always, beautifully written!! And I love love LOVE Arry 😍😍 he is also now forgiven for certain moments 🙊🙊
A nice view into the story from Arry’s side showing how he was in so much pain and conflict throughout his journey. Plus a few fun interviews and a hint of a Christmas book to boot! I can’t express how wonderful these two Carrero series have been and highly recommend anyone to read them, they are so much more than a romance novel with twists and turns that make you feel every emotion known to mankind. Thanks L.T. Marshall for this enjoyable journey. Can’t wait for book 6 to come our!!!
Another super book from L.T.Marshall. After finishing the first 2 books of Sophie and Arrick’s story (and loving them), I really enjoyed reading some of the chapters from Arry’s point of view. It gives you an insight into just how deep and thoughtful he really is. Whilst reading these chapters I really had to stop and think back to the main book and see the story unfold with a whole different perspective. It made me understand both Arrick’s and Sophie’s reactions to each other a little more. Fantastic book that filled the void left before the next book in this series is released.
Turns out Arrick’s pov was quite different than expected. Pretty interesting although somewhere in the middle it felt as a never-ending repetition of the same thoughts. First chapters cuteness overload. The interviews at the end hilarious af. Carrero Christmas was a summary of different pov of the family members and holly molly it was absolutely heartwarming, cheerful, charming, just wonderful. Forever in love with the Carrero family <3
Spice: 🌶️ Trope: best friend to lovers Tension: 3/5 arrick is so stressed and keeps talking himself out of the right decision. Pro: I liked being in his head, it helped understand why he kept waffling
This book helps give a better understanding to what Arry is actually thinking and makes me love him that much more. It also makes me hate Natasha for trying to emotionally blackmail the two people who are meant to be together.
I chose the 5* as the author has amazing insight about the emotions of all the characters in her books and I can't get enough of reading about them all.
