Human beings are evolutionary creatures, born to survive even in adverse conditions. However, is the life we live perfect? Are we completely happy? What is this world, that seems not what it is? Not knowing “truth” or “reality,” humans tread the same path again and again, not learning from history.
The author has presented in this work, that is a unique combination of fiction and non-fiction, an overview of our present condition. The book will particularly interest those among us who are seekers of truth, and for whom, logic and truth are forever intertwined and unlimited.
Meant to push all mental boundaries, this is a must-read for anyone who is in search of the “unknowable”…
Name of the book - The Chimera by Nitish Sharma Stars given - 5 on 5 stars. My take in the book- Remember all the times someone gave you an advice and you did not listen to it? Well it wasn't really your fault, there were times your well-meaning advisor's advice just went out of the window when the time actually came for it, right? But remember the stories that you have been told long back? We all remember them and also follow them whenever needed. And that is why this book was such a huge hit for me. Self help is the best help in the world. Cause if you can't help yourself, no one can darlo. The first step, where you decide or realize you need help, is actually helping yourself. #suchaManalithingtodo
'The Chimera' is a unique book focuses on the topics that anybody rarely notices but is shaping our future. It is a combination of fiction and non-fiction along with a pinch of philosophy and spirituality. The author tells a story that takes you from our origin to the destruction of this planet. It gives you a description of the illusions we live in without even noticing them and how to deal with it.
The choice of title and the cover of the book are unique, mysterious and well-suited. Writing Style is complex but extraordinary. Vocabulary is good. The pace of the book is uneven. It takes time to catch up with the vibe of the book. The author has used many creative ways to explain things. Narration style was quite confusing; sometimes it felt like a monologue.
The book has many things to learn from. It also takes you to the possible future of humanity and boy, it’s terrifying. It also has a section that talks about Satanic People of the world and that was horrifying to even read about. The chapters that I liked the most are ‘The Weakling’ and ‘The Confession of Satan’.
Overall, the book is an enjoyable, informative and eye-opening read. I recommend this book to all who want to read something out of box.
Last time i read subtle art by mark manson i thought i wouldnt find anything like that but the chimera is even better in some sense i didnt feel bored even for a second one of the best book i have read in recent past

This is a perfect blend of fiction and nonfiction to experience the entirety. I feel this book deserves to be on top Indian books.

The book is meant for people who are looking towards truth and seek something Positive in the busy life.
The author has done a amazing job in making such a book which has little effect on the tittle. The cover of the book is best which folds up the two characters that are there !! The colour of the cover being grey brings to the mind that the people who are intellectual and more into knowing more about something new will approach to it.
There are a separate set of readers which will enjoy the book as a whole read and not meant for all the people at masses. It is because :
If a mature person will read he would be able to understand and comprehed the book Better.
If the book will be read with interest and dedication towards till the end the happiness and satisfaction would be the next level.

A non fiction that gives a fiction in between and that has been blend together in a magnificent and effortlessly. Chimera was a refreshing read. To see such a captivating amalgamation of fiction and non-fiction isn't that common. And that is what makes this book an interesting read. If you ponder, we get a lot of answers to questions that we don't wonder about often. If you like questioning things, then this book is a must-read for you.

And ya the cover of the book it’s having a meaning to, I am not sure if I am right or not but what I think is it says that. Whether it’s the devil or angles it’s all in your own control. Negativity or Positivity it’s all about how you think about the situation. It can be that some one eles have a different opinion but this is what I think.

It was just a fab read. ❄ Writing style was amazing, while reading I was feeling like the author is talking to me and I am listening. ❄ @nitishbahalwala has done an amazing job in explaining his views, I got answers of my many questions which were in my mind. I loved the way author has related things. ❄ It is very important for us to think logically rather just following the flock and this book will help you doing that. ❄ It will open your mind and you will see things from a different dimension. ❄ so it's a must read
Cover is okay. I felt it could've been better designed. Title is good, one of the very reason I decided to pick up this book. However, I must say I'm very disappointed with it. The reason being the title makes no sense with the content & plot extrapolated here. I felt the word 'Chimera' meant a mythological mythical animal or Mystical mythical beast from some ancient fantasy folklore story.
Now let's come to the plot, the book is a blend of philosophy & spirituality which gives insights of many thoughts, visions, facts, logics, logistics, life & our existence. It culminates in various forms which helps the readers understand things acting as a self-help book in many occasions. The various sections covered as religion, materialism, happiness, joy, sadness, mantras, yantras, money, greed, Maya, illusion, lust & many other sins of mankind. They're considered akin to evil or devilish.
The book lacks the basic courtesy of what may be called as a meaning read. Writing style is poor. The decency to pen a simple paragraph seems ineffective & inefficient here. Even formulating an errorfree page seemed plausible. Every page has some mistake or the other. It felt so much dissapointing just to read it. I felt dissatisfied from beginning till the end. All throughout the book, readers won't be able to understand what exactly is going on here. Even the underlying plot is difficult to decipher. It's very difficult to understand, engage with the content effectively.
Is there a logical way to understand why we do things even if we pass through it several times? Well, there are conditions, external conditions that can affect our thoughts and the way that we reacted. Nevertheless this writer put it on the paper and shows up those stuff that sre hiding to human's eye but are behaviors that conplex our lives and the way that we see the world. i just fall in love about the book and the way that the writer plasm some of my thoughts. like I really feel that he was reading the way that I saw the world.
The book been very philosophical on thoughts and need good lot time to decipher its meaning. Ideas put down are fully based on philosophical reasoning and sometimes unlinked.
The language used here are simple english but thoughts include some greek myth taste.
Wow , I just loved this book. It is both fiction and non - fiction.
Once, I saw this book I was totally attracted to it because of it's very unique cover. It is a book which answers many questions of life. It is totally philosophical . It has the Paulo Cohelo feeling in it.
Author has said about many aspects of life in this book which I totally loved. Non-fiction many a times becomes borring but this book was not at all like that . It kept me gripped till it's last page. This is what non-fiction should be. Overall, a great book.
Firstly search the meaning of chimera. Now that you have understood the meaning of the word you will understand the point of the author. He have brilliantly brought some questions which are Automatically uploaded to your mind by the society. When author questions that mentality of your point of view on delicate matters, you go into deep trance to think about them. The illustrations and the examples to bring the simplicity of thinking on the thoughts is what the author have succeeded. There is a fictional touch to make a reader understand his topics.
The book is divided into 11 Chapters 1. Political Circles - How a big and positive circle can help in better success. 2. The Reality - How self-destructive knowledge is advanced by human developments. 3. The Ancient - The origin of the world according to different notions. 4. The Queen - How universe is made of queen language interconnected toour brain. 5. The Yantras - How Patrioticpolitics has resulted intodestroy. 6. The Maya Rookof God - How humans are entangled into illusionary goals. 7. The Weakling - Impact of blind materialism 8. Revival of Humanity - The best chapter of the book , how a little positivity can have larger impact. 9. The Tantras - It talks of developing the spiritual and free flow of energies. 10. The fall of god - Small chapter if few paragraphs , talks about achieving eternity 11. What's the point - Well, the chapter name describes the whole. The bookends with a small chapter giving insights of 11 most evil rulers in this world.
The author have managed to question your intelligence and beliefs on some permanently tattooed understanding of things into world, and he also successfully proved his point. I liked the way of explaining the matters so that each reader will definitely get an idea of the point the author have to say. It talked about a lot of things - from patriotism, war and destruction to humanity and spirituality. I adore the narration of the book and all the illustrations the author have proposed.

What do we do if our belief system gets questioned? Like religion, god or whatever we have been taught so far? Do we call it as conscience alteration or destruction? As the book titles as “Chimera” - art characterised reflection of mixture of parts of humans and animal (according to greek). This book is interesting per se. The puppets are driven by the force of two human and have part of animals depicts the context of the book.
Here author starts at the note of how possessing knowledge or holding degree doesn’t qualify one to have/lead to creativity, self-realisation and he delivers how one man’s ignorance is others resource. Come to the content, the author has dissects our so-called beliefs in religion, ancient sciences, god, nature and whatnot? Questioning the eternity, the lack of realization & the intellectual qualities etc.,
To keep it short, this book puts everything but nothing under question. Contradictory on arriving at solutions at the end of a read, Author rests the case to the readers itself according to their perception. That’s where it lingers in our mind even after finishing this read. I wanted to give a higher rating while the chapters met the wow factor and diverse, I felt it bit rushed. It’s a book celebrates writing and creating, a book that insists on how to look up for the things.
All in all, this allows you to tour the sorted reality and mind-bending.
The cover is unique. It depicts two human like forms one having an angel like halo and the other having devilish horns while both are being controlled like puppets with two hands. The colour of the book is also gloomy and any person will feel intrigued looking at the cover just like I did. This book is a work of pure non fiction. Coming to the title the word Chimera means something that we strive or aspire for but is impossible to achieve. Here in the book the author has presented to us ways in which we can manipulate it. The author has also included bits of fiction to elevate the morale of non fiction lovers so that even they may pick the book up. Lucid language and simple vocabulary has been used in the book. A very likeable thing about the book is that it is based on logic and facts, sometimes even brutal truths unlike placing the reader in a realm of utopia like illusion. The only drawback I found was that everything cannot be accepted as it is in the book. Of course it is a non fiction self help book, so you have the liberty to question and challenge, and I personally feel every reader should do it, because at the end of the day, a book is the author’s point of view not universal truth. Nevertheless a lot of effort has been put and it is appreciable. Along with a lot of varied topics like religion and karma has been discussed. Definitely worth a shot.
From the beginning, the title "Chimera" you used is completely different from the content of the book. It is actually Greek origin. But ability to take in gene or trait from 2 different entities or opposites is also chimeric as per genetics. What I found here was touch of slovac roots. Partly greek myth and parly russian included.
So author's content was bit confusing to link into the greek, as non fiction usually should do. Connecting content with title.
Straight to details, I felt the fight and conquer of inner turmoil and voices are not exactly as one size fits all as author have tried. Atleast in most of cases. My experience speaks of exceptions too in detail because of some professional exposure. Those exceptions need little more development as I perceived.
Often thoughts were philosophical without references. It is completely okay for that, but not completing one views or thoughts regarding their statement/sentence is unacceptable. Often he did so starting from foreward. But tried to connect it at times with later chapters which were compensation to content. One do need some time and pre-myth ideas for that.
Its a non fiction and maybe confusing at times due to blur lines of boundary with fiction and philosophy but does deserve a try.

"The Chimera" book is authored by "Nitish Sharma is a mixed bag. It is very insightful, very good in terms of content but difficult narration/to comprehend (like the saying "Things worth having don't come easy). Narration doesn't flow easily, like the wandering mind author takes full liberty to wander from topic, raises some valid and important questions and then comes back to topic. Sometimes this style is interesting but sometimes it is frustrating. (May be author is trying to speak/cover as many concepts/ topics/information through this book ) Topics chosen to explain/ educate/enlighten readers are difficult /tough already, a simpler/easier language and narration would have really helped. Not everything written are acceptable, some questions answered very accurately a few with author's own theories, examples and perception of subject but what's written looks/appears sensible. English proficiency is a must/pre requisite
Cons: To check the veracity of information shared there is not even one reference.
It's not like any read and forget but it's read and ponder book. Book scores very high on content so would recommend people to read and help oneself.
The chimera is a book that is categorized under non fiction that covers a wide variety of topics and somewhat linking them together.
First of all, what I'd like to point out that it's bit too fast paced. The author hadn't quite gone deep into the concepts which would have been better for those who aren't already aware of the topics discussed. For example, since the domain knowledge needed to understand the mathematical concepts used in there, I could tell that the content wouldn't be as easy to comprehend for someone with none to little mathematical background. It felt like I had to do research about the topics discussed before reading this book. So, it's not really for beginners. But then again not every good book is for beginners.
On having the backgrounds for respective topics clear, the author's ideas turned out to be really intriguing. In future, I'd like to read a more detailed version of this.
Book Review Book Name: The Chimera Author : Publisher :
About Book: The Chimera is a perfect combination of fiction and non-fiction genre. The book is divided into 11 chapters in which the author talked about the present condition of humans and what should be their goal in this universe and how much humans depend on materialistic possessions He also described the religion, evil, sin, karmas, Yantras, tantras, spiritual powers, modern science patriotism, Maya, governed system, political circles and the relation between the universe and mathematics. The book is based on facts, logic, truth and reality. What I liked about this book The author conveys the message through principles theories and good examples to explain in a better way. The author raised good psychological questions in the book.
The Chimera turns out to be one playing with your thoughts and visions with facts, logics and insights having taken from reality that life had reimbursed us with. This book, being divided into eleven chapters is a delightful combination of fiction along with non fiction. I loved the way how the author brought into picture - what exactly should be the goal of human life and how much we fancy of pleasures materialistic. To be honest, the theories and principles mentioned were thought provoking enough to let one keep the book aside and ponder for a while. In addition to that, the illustrations attached in between chapters lets you visualize better. However, I feel the illustrations could have been a bit more more prominent than printed with high exposure as bad pictures could sometimes be a major turn off.
Conclusion - A real treat it was with decently good presentation and language.
A whole new kind of experience. This was a new deal which combined non-fiction with fictional anecdotes. Nitish spoke about a lot of stuff which in my opinion could have strung better together. I felt a lot of unnecessary and irrelevant topics being brought about. It all seemed theoretical. He talks about materialism and its consequences which when considered his ideologies, might seem plausible but at the end of the day, one needs clothes on their bodies. The content was unique, no doubt. But a little effort on material, language and presentation, can take him a long way. Chapters involving religion was one where I had to stop to ponder, how necessary is it in one's life to consider invisible forces in life. Editing could be taken care of. The illustrations were good, but I'd have preferred high definition ones!
The chimera by Nitish Sharma is a fictional and non fictional story. People tread the same path again and again not learning from even without knowing the truth and reality. Remember? Someone once adviced to something but you didn't listen them . The book is amalgamation of fiction and non fiction . The book is divided into 11 chapters which is all worth giving the book a fame. Nitish Sharma described it in a very specific way ,you can't run away from it. What's chimera the first question comes to everyone's mind after a glimse of the cover page . Chimera is what which seems impossible to achieve. It's an interesting and good read . Best for those who are the seekers of truth and logical . Must read.
This book is something new for me to read an it didn't disappoint me. As it is a combination of both fiction and non fiction, this makes it even more interesting. It has an interesting cover and I think everyone would interpret the message of the cover differently. This book answers alot of questions which we often don't think about. And also questions things which we normally do without thinking too much about them. For me it was kind of philosophical. Writing style of the author is simple and it doesn't confuse the reader. It is a good book with a lot to deliver. I would recommend this book to those who like to question about things. A good attempt by the author.
Concept of the book lies in its name. We are created, moved and at last destroyed by the eternity. Author has explained journey of humanity from its origin to its present and future.
Book explains the way humanity originated from point of view of different religions and how mantras and yantras entered in our lives.
Book has shown development of humanity and its degradation after maya- the money- the greed entered in our lives. The story concluded with the way to be happy and how to control maya.
However i am not agreed with all the concepts but definitely some of them. The thing i liked the most is cover and pictures inside the book.
The author has written a unique combination of fiction and non-fiction. This book is divided into eleven chapter and each chapter is an overview of our present condition. It will captivate those attention who are seekers of truth and for whom, logic and truth are forever intertwined and unlimited. In this book the author has stringed together reality and fiction to present his take on how one can manipulate the chimera and grab the reins of the illusion. The book focuses a lot on philosophy and brings out the author’s standpoint. The quirky illustrations in between the chapters have some deeper meaning which are interlinked with the theme of the book which makes it more interesting.
