I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
As a huge fan of this series, I can honestly say that I was so happy to learn that us readers would finally get this book! Adam and Mia have been through so much, and once again life has some bumps in the road for them. Despite each obstacle, overcoming each one testifies to the power of their love and all it can endure. I don’t want to go too much into the plot, but just know that the author has her reasons for writing this story. Just when you think we know and understand all there is to know about Adam and Mia’s relationship, you are proven wrong. The depth of their love can be felt within every word of this book.
Written in both POVs, the author once again displays her talent in writing a witty and romantic continuation of this series. Her writing is what simply draws me into these books as she is always above doing the norm. She has her own recipe for executing brilliant and compelling storylines and this was no different. As Mia and Adam face a new set of challenges and move forward in becoming husband and wife, their love and admiration for each other is the one thing that remains constant.
Worth Any Cost was a heartwarming and fun way to end Adam and Mia’s story. Although I believe they may be in the background of any additional stories to come for this series, the end to their own story is bittersweet. This journey has been emotional, joyous, and one of the best experiences of my literary life. I am so glad the author decided to give us a chance to see how Adam and Mia have grown as people, but as a couple as well. To know their love is truly a privilege. This book reminded me of all the reasons why the entire series continue to be a favorite of mine. The author brilliantly balances humor with emotion with romance and sexy. I am absolutely excited on what’s to come in the next!
This book was sent to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
I haven't felt this overjoyed over a book since Some Kind of Perfect by Krista and Becca Ritchie. I am so happy that this book was everything I was expecting. Although, there was one thing that I wish both Mia and Adam would've talked about more instead of just touched briefly. Regardless of that small detail this was just delightful. I love seeing April, Jordan, Jenna, William, Heath, and Kat once again. We also get introduced to a new character, Lucas, which I'm already anticipating he is going to bring havoc, and I'm ready for it. Also, I inhaled read this. It was just so good.
I'm still coming down from my happiness high that this book provided, so I apologize if my review is sweet, short, and to the point. I will be doing a more comprehensible video review though. I just need a few days to marinate with my thoughts and emotions.
I loved playful Adam, "he laughed, leaning back in his chair and patting his lap. “I’m perfectly healthy . Want me to prove it to you right now?” I loved Mia she was so quirky, and would make Adam see reason, and I loved when she was blunt, "leaning a hip against the counter, she said, “Well, you live with a girl. You’re about to marry a girl. And girls get periods and it’s a natural part of our lives. So get used to it.” I loved this book, I loved seeing Mia and Adam again.
I had to read this last book in the Mia/Adam saga to see them finally make the long-awaited trek down the aisle. This installment has some really good points. For example, there is far less of the stupid miscommunications that plague them in prior books. Having said that, Adam should have told Mia about the BOD ultimatum much sooner. For this book, I give the couple a B for communication.
I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others. Perhaps it's because there wasn't as much conflict, or because there was way too much sex. (Did I really say that?) Yes, I did. I even meant it. By the time Adam arrived for the wedding I was skimming. Still glad I took the time to read it.
I enjoyed the storyline with Adam getting side-lined. He got a taste of what it means to actually give up his workaholic ways and slow down.
I didn't care for or believe the part where Mia gets in touch with her father's family.
Now for tet intro to the next book...I don't know if I can read it. I already have no sympathy for Kat.
I have loved the story of Adam and Mia since the first words on page 1 of book 1 (At Any Price). Brenna writes such a beautiful love story for 2 people so perfect for each other. Worth Any Cost picks up with Adam and Mia going through more twists and turns before they can actually say 'I do'. The imagery that Brenna evokes from scene to scene is incredible as you can really feel yourself hearing the waves lap up on the beach at their home. Or you can hear the squeek of the hinge as they pass through the gate. I read this in pretty much one sitting because I couldn't put it down. Adam and Mia have a love that transcends beyond great sex (yes, they have that); their love is all encompassing. Will Adam be able to loosen the reigns of control in his life to keep Mia happy? Or will he end up losing his one and only true love? :) Brenna is my Nat20 writer!!
It's a wrap! And this one is definitely lighter than the previous two books centered on Adam and Mia's story. The perfect heartwarming ending, complete with "sailing off into the sunset" feels! 🌅⛴️
1st star - I read the author's note that this was not the last of Mia and Adam, but for now I am very content with how things turned out for these two geeks! 😎 2nd star - finished this in one sitting so that's gotta count for something; this book had smooth pace and wasn't heavy to read. 😘 3rd star - Adam, even though you were still notoriously stubborn for the first parts, we both know you were only putting Mia first. You're a keeper man! ...and Jordan.. well he's made some good points here in this book, so truce? 😁 4th star - Mia, Mia, Mia! You've come this far and have learned the act of forgiveness and not being afraid of your past hurts. You deserve your happy ending with Adam, just as he deserves to have you in return! 🤗 5th star - I seldom dish out five star ratings, but if a book's got me believing in fairytale endings again and that giddy, warm feeling you get even after the credits roll, then hell yeah! 🤩
P.S. you might want to cap this book off with the 5 Years Later Epilogue that you'll get when you sign up for the author's newsletter 😉
I love Adam and Mia. So much so that I can ignore all the typos. Something about this couple seems so real to me, despite their lives being far removed from anything I've ever experienced. I'd love to see more of William and Jenna. And the next book, Katya and Lucas's looks to be very interesting.
I love and recommend the series Gaming the System. This is book #4 in Adam and Mia's journey. Since their story had already reached it's conclusion in book #3, I was curious and my calendar was marked. I love these 2 characters, their story and the way they relate to each other.
I felt good once I finished the book. It was cute, a "bookend" to the previous 3. A cute tale that lead me to the inevitable "walk down the isle". Then I thought about it and the more I thought about it, the more little things that were nagging at me while I was reading started to really irk me.
First I hated the way Heath was treated in this installment. He was always a rock for Mia as she constantly leaned on him. In this book, Heath is in pain and Mia's support.... is no where to be found. She has one meaningful discussion with him that doesn't really lead any where. Later, he shows up to talk to Adam and hands over to keys to his beloved Porsche. Neither Adam nor Mia make a big deal out of this. Really? As a reader, I have no clue why Heath did that and we never really find out at all. The night before the wedding, Heath and Mia have a quick tête-à-tête that could have been a very tender and meaningful moment but Mia is too preoccupied with getting time alone with Adam to bother saying anything of substance.
I could go on but I'm done ranting for now....
Book #3 ended it all in epilogue for me and I wish it had been left at that

Well this is the novel I have been waiting for since book 3. Worth Any Cost is actually book 6 is The Gamer series, in order to enjoy/love this novel you really have to have at least read the first three. I LOVED this novel. It was everything I hoped for when I stepped back into the world of Adam and Mia. These two have been though the ringer. After the emotional rollercoaster that they went though in the first books it was wonderful to finally have them headed to the alter. But of course it true Adam and Mia fashion there were some speed bumps along the way. (And no I won't say what, go read the book). I fell head over heels in love with Adam in At Any Price. I mean how could you not fall for this control freak, gamer, CEO. And in this novel you get to see all of that in him and more. His love for Mia is undescribable. He will do anything, stand up to any one and fight for her at every turn. Mia is the kind of character that you want to be best friends with. She is smart , fun, witty, and a survivor. After going though her life changing events in the first three novels I honestly feel as though we are friends. It made me happy to read about her in medical school and finally getting her happy ever after. This novel also adds the new element to her life in the way of a connection to her unknown father. Of course we get to see all of our favorite characters, also know as Adam and Mia's friends and family. I am looking forward to hearing their stories (Heath, Kat, etc) and continuing their stories(Jenna &William, Jordan & April). This novel gets five out of five from me and if I could have it would have gotten more. I look forward to many more novels in this series. As Brenna Aubrey is one of my favorite authors I will also tell people yes you must read these novels as they have a little bit of everything you need. They have humour, romance, heartache, witty and fun characters, and so much more. Impatiently awaiting the next installment in The Gamer series!
Such a refreshing and sweet read. I really enjoyed watching Mia and Adam prepare for their wedding and work through the issues leading up to it. They've come a very long way from the communication troubles they used to have, though, Adam needed a bit of reminding that he still has some control issues. Nature took care of that little problem and forced some new perspective on him. Their silly banter was cute and light, and appropriately nerdy. Their wedding was stunning and just their style. Jordan is still Jordan, but shows some growth and maturity. I just love him and can't wait to read more about him in the futures. We get to see glimpses of the other couples, too, and a teaser of the upcoming book featuring Katya.... and boy, will it be an interesting ride!

You know how you can sometimes read a book and it is an absolute pleasure to read? Worth Any Cost is one of those books. It sucks you in from the first chapter and keeps you fully engrossed until the last page.
Brenna Aubrey has a wonderful writing style that is easy to read and the switching between character POV's is smooth. I don't think the book could have been any more perfect. It has all the geeky references long time fans of the series come to expect and love. It wouldn't be a Brenna Aubrey book if it didn't tug at the heart strings a little but don't worry, nothing life threatening.
Adam and Mia are perfect for each other and this book cements that. The progression of the characters...especially Mia, really shines through. The wedding was beautiful, as was the lead up to it.
If you've read the other books in the Gaming The System series (please say yes) you'll love seeing the support characters and how those relationships have progressed. It was definitely worth the wait and now we get to do it all over again with For The Taking and I cannot wait.
How I have missed Mia and Adam. These two have been through so much and are finally getting married. But there are still uneasy seas ahead and can these two make it to the altar?
I was so pleasantly surprised with how much Mia has grown. However poor Adam is still a wee bit immature and still way too controlling. It takes Adam getting a virus to have to slow down and really take a good look at what an amazing, strong and understanding woman Mia is.
Oh and we get more characters added to this amazing series that I hope will get their own stories one day. The Gaming System still has a lot more to tell.
Finally Mia and Adam get their happy ending and in the place where their love story truly started.
Loved this and I love all the stories Brenna Aubrey writes. 5 stars.
Too many things need to tell us, the half-siblings of Mia, the control freak of Adam, and … the most important, Lucas and Katya.
It is good to know they final get married, I am sure Adam is the dream of every lady, rich, funny, full of surprise and fall in love and committed 100%. Everyone has their half, hope Heath will find in the future. I love him so much, his loyalty, his care and support.
Adam and Emilia's story continues with Worth Any Cost. The path to finding happiness has been an emotional roller coaster, nothing has been easy for this pair. I would recommend reading the first three titles in this series, before reading this title as it's a continuation of their story.
Worth Any Cost, is told from a dual point of view and is by far my favorite of the books featuring this endearing couple. The banter is fun, flirty, and witty and on more than one occasion I was laughing out loud.
Their love for each other is pure, true and strong, and it's lovely to see them finding happiness after all they have been through as a couple. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many of the previous characters appear within the story line of Worth Any Cost. I look forward to reading more Gaming The System books in the future.
Worth any Cost is what true love is all about. We have been part of Mia and Adam’s for so long, and we get the wedding we have all waited for. Before the wedding we see Adam and Jordan have issues with their friendship. The board wants Adam to sign a pre-nup, and he doesn’t want anyone telling him what to do with his personal life. Things at work become tense, and Adam ends up work too much. Working too much ends up leaving in Adam in bed, and not working for some time. Will they sign a pre-nup? Does it bother Mia to have to sign one? You will find Mia very healthy, full of spunk, sassy, and full of life. Adam and Mia together just make sense. They leave you wanting more to their story, and not wanting the book to end. I am however excited to read the next book about Kat. 5 stars just isn’t enough for this amazing book in an extraordinary series!
Oh wow! This is definitely worth the cost! I feel in love wit this series a year ago and have always wanted to Find out how Mias and Adams story ends. Even though I wish this story went a little longer I was very happy with the ending. This book is all about these two love birds and their months leading up to their wedding. It has all the twists and turns any engagement goes though and Brenna touched on a lot of wonderful points. Definitely in sickness and heath these two have been though so much! I am so honored to have had the opportunity to follow these two through all their tough times and their amazing love for each other.
This ARC was kindly given in exchange for an honest review.
Loved reading this book, having another Mia and Adam -centric book! So fantastic, even though we knew things were going to be fine in the end since the ending of At Any Moment took place after this book! But yeah, loved it!
Voto 4

Disappointing book without any of the usual close bond to the characters!
I'm going to be completely honest here; this book was a very big let down for me. In all the other books in the Gaming the System series I've been on an emotional roller coaster with the hero and heroine of the book.
I've cried with April, laughed with Adam, been sad with Jenna, felt the despair and frustration a long side all of them. However, this time I felt nothing but irritation. Irritation that Adam hadn't learned from past mistakes. Irritation caused by the very dull and tiresome (and completely time-wasting) fears Mia go through..... all in all another hype with nothing to it.
I'm woman enough to admit that my lack of patience and annoyance might also come from the fact, that in book #4 (April & Jordan) and book #5 (Jenna & William) we were promised the following book would be released "later this year", but it never did. Only almost 12 months later. So this time I felt like I waited for nothing.
Here's hoping that Brenna will actually manage to stay on top of her enormous workload and release Kat's story in 2017!EDIT: Still waiting and rumor has it that it won't be released until late 2018.
Worth Any Cost granted my wish! The first three in this series ripped my heart out of my chest, tore it to pieces, and put it all back together, but I needed more HEA. This isn’t a fluffy book about a couple planning their wedding. This is a book about two people who made mistakes, triumphed over impossible odds, endured immeasurable heartbreak, found each other again, and are planning the celebration of their forever.
Emilia “Mia” Strong suits her name perfectly. Many in her place would have folded and given up. Her strength was very much in evidence in Worth Any Cost. I don’t know if it was just the way she was, but the depth of her inner strength impressed me so much, especially in one part where she was incredibly vulnerable. She didn’t let it her fears fester. She didn’t let Adam’s fears fester. She was his rock. He was hers.
Adam Drake had been Mia’s rock and it was time to let her be his. Adam reminded me about how stress adversely affects people and how they deal with the important people in their lives. When Mia turned out to be Adam’s rock both physically as well as mentally and emotionally, I had the biggest grin. I loved that!
What I enjoyed about Worth Any Cost was the power of the love between Adam and Mia. Their passion was stronger than ever and so was their commitment to living their lives as they saw fit. I needed this book to fully heal my heart after their devastating journey. Did this book have my much needed HEA? Of course! I loved it!
Love this Series & it’s Characters! Fabulous🎧📚🎧Listen!
Worth Any Cost Adam & Mia, Part 4, Gaming the System, Book 6 By: Brenna Aubrey Narrated by: Kirsten Leigh, Jason Clarke
I love this series and and Mia and Adam’s story, I was so happy to see Brenna Aubrey wrote another book for them. These two characters deserve another book, they came such a long way in their journey to love and it was not always easy for them, there were a lot of obstacles in their way. Mia is still going to school and studying, Adam has taken on a lot of the wedding planning, he wants it to be just right. But nothing is easy, he is faced with more obstacles, he feels he was betrayed by someone he thought had his back. He tries to handle it all on his own because he does not want to stress Mia with it all. But his holding back and him trying to do everything is not a good thing and we must learn he can not always be a super hero. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted, also love the gaming aspect and I am not even a gamer the storyline added a lot to the story. There is never a dull moment in this book, there is plenty of drama, heartfelt and emotional moments and the continuation of a great love story, destine to have their HEA. Brenna Aubrey, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I love these characters and their stories, I hope to see more of your books come on audio someday soon.
I listened to the Audible edition, Jason Clarke and Kirsten Leigh are fabulous narrators and versatile voice artists. They continue to do an awesome job portraying these characters, humanizing them as they bring them and their story to life. I loved how they took each character’s role and made it their own. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧
(audiobook) After the rollercoasters that the two previous books were, going back to Mia and Adam’s relationship was equally nice… and a bit dull. There’s no real conflict–it’s a wedding romance, with an established couple. At least, between Adam and Mia. There are plenty of conflicts between them and other characters, for sure.
But at the same time, we get an interesting character development. Despite the fact that we know them from way back, the author still manages to take care of some major flaw or a past trauma or insecurities for both main characters, making them a little more perfect in the process–and writing one of the hotest intimate scenes of the series as a consequence.
A favorite side character, Heath also gets a bit more page time, his personal story being a background for the other characters of the series since book 1. I can only hope he’ll get his own book at some point.
With a solid narration, interesting ideas and compelling characters, you’ll want to keep up with the series by reading this book too!
Quickie
- Series: Gaming the system #6 (Adam and Mia are back) - Hashtags: #billionaire romance #wedding romance #illness #workaholic #sexual frustration - Triggers: depiction of a past sexual assault - Main couple: Emilia Strong & Adam Drake - Hotness: 5/5 - Romance: 5/5 - + loved the evolution of Mia and Drake’s sex life - – not a fan of wedding romances, even with a couple I like
I remmener the first time i came across this serie "At any price" a young girl who decide to sell her virginity to a billionaire to pay her medical school. I was just like ok cool i can totally do that, not the medical part (i'm accountant) but the sexy billionaire part even without his billion. I love the way he love her, the way he treat her: Adam Drake make the sentence "i got you" while in a relationship worth any letter;
I could begin to tell you about Mia (Emilia Kimberly), why she want to sell a virginity the true reason behind med-school, why Adam is so willing to buy it if you didn't start the serie yet but the would be spoiling all day long and i'm not here for that.
Generally when i read the end of a series i enjoy, get involve with the character i always have one fear to be disappointed, to feel like it still more story to tell, to feel like i didn't say a proper good bye and trust me when a book get into you is not a good thing to have on you mind. But with ''Worth any cost'' i did. I can say they conquer it all(the bad, the ugly and the good) they are ready to just be happy.
Thanks Brenna Aubrey you did justice to Adam and Mia end.
DIOS MIO! This book was so much more than I had pictured. I love me some Adam Drake I honestly do. If he was real I'd claim him.
The story line from the start is engaging. The storyline builds off the opening and it makes for such an emotional book. Adam is so in love and so invested in his relationship with Mia that it hurts you when he hurts. absolutely ate up what Brenna dished and it was oh so yummy.
I had a few favorite moments. One in particular has to do with breath mints and damn you Brenna for that hot scene *fans self*. The playfulness between these two is enjoyable and makes you cheer for them and crave something special like what they have.
So many special and beautiful moments between our fave couple and their friends. God, I love that I know them, yes dammit I know Adam and Mia and attending their wedding has been the highlight of my day.
Brenna, you nailed this book and freaking went big!!!!! I bow down to thee, thanks for taking us on the journey of a lifetime.
Now...I am patiently awaiting the next installment. Eeeekkkk OMG girl what will you do with Kat?
I'd forgotten how much I really do love this series. Now I am not a big gamer or computer nerd to the level that this series can take that stuff so I admit that some of the "in game" talk and stuff I more skim then read cause it's just not my thing. But that aside the heart of the story and the main focus of Adam and Mia I just adore them. I love them because they are sweet and amazing together. But at the same time they are real and stubborn and I find myself completely annoyed with them and the choices they make. Maybe that sounds odd? I don't know probably. But for being a "billionaire romance" that the genre can sometimes a little over the top and far fetched Brenna does a good job of not taking that too far (most of the time and when she does I can forgive it because she brings them back down to earth quickly) I am very happy with Adam and Mia's "Happy ending" for the moment knowing it's probably not completely finished with more books coming. I am looking forward to Kat's book but I am most happy to read that there's more books coming focusing on Jordan and April too!
