The most likely conclusion to my current predicament is psychosis. Much more likely than actual alien abduction. Significantly more likely than impending forced nuptials with a giant primitive alien whose society never evolved a sense of humor. But life in a horny space-barbarian’s cave isn’t all bad… Did I mention he vibrates? This is a full length insta-love Alien romance. It's funny, filthy, over-the top, and completely delicious.

I blame my momentary lapse of judgement for reading this book to L.A Casey. Yes. L.A. Casey. Why her? Because I read her book Out of the Ashes and I thought... umm.. why not? right? It kinda sounds like it might be in the same wave length. I am sorry but No No No!!! I can't. The storyline left like a circus NOT like a lovestory!
This was a full novel with some action, passion, mystery and a strange mixture of weird questionable moments (which was addressed by the author) and hilarious moments to keep the reader on their toes. I just wish the story didn't end on a cliffhanger with a 'to be continued in book 2' as an ending. That really took the shine of this book as the hero and heroine's story was not resolved properly.
There were other important side plots left hanging as well. I espeically wanted to know more about the rescued human women stuck in the spaceship and the little alien girl who needed to be reunited with her people in a far of planet.
I wish the author had taken some time to explore the all male alien culture of the hero and introduce to us some of them. It would've been great to get to know some of the ladies on the ship instead of being left as an empty but convenient side character to further a plot that is not going anywhere fast.
This book had so much potentially, intrigue and interesting imaginative ideas but it didn't live up to the promise. Still, I did enjoy reading this book and I would encourage anyone interested to give it a go.
I can honestly say this book was not what I was expecting. I haven't read a lot of sci-fi books, but this was definitely interesting. Women kidnapped from earth by aliens, sold to others for various purposes, none of them pleasant. Leila, a military psychologist, was among hundreds of women taken. Now she's tasked with saving as many as possible by what seems to be a talking blue orb. Out on a mission she encounters a Baratican Warrior who wants to claim her as his wife. She has a lot to accomplish, and just maybe he can help.
I loved Leila and the strength she possessed to help the others in need of escape. Even when it came down to her feelings or them, she was bound to do the right thing. Even being manipulated and given partial truths, she vowed she would do everything she could.
Thor is a beast who needs to mate. I really enjoyed getting down to the root of him. I loved that he would do anything for Leila. She did upset me by not being honest with him. I was endeared to him with his honesty, and the fact he listened to her instead of taking what he wanted. Who wouldn't want a caring vibrant man to live for her?
This book was so unexpected, but I loved it. There was so much going on, and lots of intraplanetary information. It was an intriguing read. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel, but I'm rather excited for book two.
Great Paranormal story. This story can be read in just a few hours. The story is interesting Alien abduction of females from Earth to be sold as merchandise to be used for many different jobs. Alien transport ship has a shipment of newly captured females on board and Leila is one of them. She is being recruited to help rescue as many of them and get them to an escape ship with the help of another alien "Macca". She is successful with being able to rescue the majority of the females. When the ship is in need of supplies and recharge of the ship batteries "Macca" enlists Leila to help gather water and food. While doing this Leila encounters another alien race, Baratican, the most feared warriors and this one wants Leila...
The author's book description says this is full length. The romance is resolved. A huge cliffhanger is also there regarding the rest of the plot. So I disagree with the "full length" description.
They have 29 days to rescue someone or she'll be killed.
The author's website has not been updated since 2017 and neither has her blog. So it doesn't look like we'll find out how this cliffhanger regarding the non romance parts of the plot will be resolved.
Warrior Forever by Amber Bardan is a sci-fi, alien abduction romance. Leila Hains is a military psychiatrist who has been abducted along with hundreds of other women off to who know's what nefarious fate. When a mysterious voice gives her a means to escape she becomes the leader of the human women who are on the escape ship. The mysterious voice is that of an advanced computer who is tasked with the protection of another abductee, a child from a different race, and getting her home, The only problem? The escape ship needs to restock for provisions and energy to get where they are going. The planet they land on is hot but underground adventures await Leila as she looks for water and food for the ship. It doesn't take long before she gets in trouble and is captured by Thor, who is in need of a mate. Using information that she receives through a neural implant from the computer, Macca, and her own psychiatric ingenuity, she navigates pitfalls and dangers that Thor presents and forges a connection with him.
I liked the characters of both Leila and Thor. It becomes easy to forget that in many ways Thor is himself an abductor with his own goals, but his time with Leila changes him, both inside and out, into a different person, one who learns what love and a relationship with a human woman really mean. Macca presents a complicated dynamic and is her own character with goals that are easy to forget in the moment. The growth of all the character throughout the book is what makes it a fun read and leaves me wanting to know what is coming next.
Overall, I recommend Warrior Forever by Amber Bardan as something more than just a sci-fi or romance story, but as a character focused and relationship driven one. I very much enjoyed Warrior Forever, particularly the more I read it.
4.5 stars. What do you get when Amber A. Bardan writes a sci-fi book....a very happy Sue. Next book please. Leila was kidnapped from Earth to be sold in space. With the help of Macca, the annoying computer, she is able to escape with the 100 other kidnapped women. They go to the safest planet to get supplies. Naturally, Leila is sent by herself on this mission. Right when she gets there she has an encounter with a native Baratican warrior....this entire scene was so damn naughty, but had me laughing so hard. Thor is a Baratican warrior and he pretty much is a baddass. This man is tough, sweet, thoughtful and did I mention he cooks too....dibs. He expects to keep her, but she starts negotiating with him. Even though she doesn’t give in right away, these two have some really sexy times.
This book is based on what she does to save the other women. We get to see the process of these two falling in love and the lengths they wil go to to stay together, despite Macca’s meddling and manipulation. There’s quite a bit that goes on and you find out so much more in the end. No spoilers her people. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because Lelia was a tough cookie to crack and since I adored Thor...I was routing for him...because he’s just that perfect....and it felt a little like kicking a puppy. Even if she ever made it back to Earth...she wouldn’t find another one like him. Yes, please. Next book please.
Oh man oh man! I am laughing so hard. This.. This was pretty priceless :D Amber Bardan and her imagination! It such a different take on things and stories.. I think it deserves a chance.
Okay first off Leila wakes up and finds herself in some alien (pun intended) territory and then she's given a chance to make something of that situation.. One day she's off to doing what she was told.. Lo and behold! She comes across a Baratican warrior and they are HUUUUGE! after that...what happens left me speechless because man oh man xD That scene. That vibration and that on going vibration! And add in some mating stuff.. Me likey! I do not go for such themes but oh well..
Another Amber Bardan book I couldn't put down! I really enjoyed this tale of space sex and dominance--so much so that I stayed up until 3AM reading it. Thor was adorable, fierce, sexy as hell, brutal, intelligent, and practically a walking vibrator--warmed for her pleasure.
Since it's a full-length Amber Bardan book, I should have known the story of Leila and Thor wouldn't be finished in just the one book. Now, I have to wait for the next book in the series to see what happens to the two newly mated alien/human couple, and the annoying yet dryly humorous Macca.
Okay so if anyone had told me I would love an alien romance this much I would have laughed... but when I saw Amber Bardan had released one I had to check it out. I love her writing style. She brings her usual smart dialogue, great chemistry and LOL moments I love to this story and adds in a hot alien with vibrating fingers & tongue. Hellooooo. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fun read.
Oh lord! I don't even know how to review this as I can't even explain what the hell I just read.
So long story short is that Leila, a human, has been abducted by aliens who basically want to use her as a breeder or meat, yep you read that right. Anyway, Leila is saved by a "computer", Macca, who never is what she seems, sneaky alien computer bitch.
They find themselves helpless and stranded in the homeland of the Boraian, the most feared warriors of all. Needing food and water to survive, Macca sends Leila to go searching, which leads her right onto the path of the larger than life warrior, Thor, who wants nothing but to mate and marry Leila.
I went into this thinking I was going to get a decent read with a tone of LOL moments, I mean it's Amber and her work is incredible. But this? This story went from pretty interesting, to funny as hell, to insanely stupid so fast that I near got whiplash.
Macca bugged me in so many ways and Leila . . . . while she was a strong character and I did like her in parts, she just got under my skin and made me wish the Jababest ate her lol
what made me keep reading when I wanted to mark this as DNF? Thor, he was such an adorable creature, I mean he tried to understand Leila and mimic things she did to make her happy And I mean hey, he vibrates ;)
would've liked it better without the character macca... it just felt weird that this unknown creature was constantly spying on the heroine, and somehow it doesn't occur to her until the end that maaaaybe she should question the motives of this voice she hears in her head ?? anyway, i was creeped out the whole book that macca knew/could see everything the hero and heroine did together. additionally, i personally feel like the language implant should've been able to translate the hero's language better. like, how come the heroine downloads his language through the microchip in her brain, yet he still speaks incorrectly grammatically ("me tarzan, you jane"-ish)? i mean, either translate the language so he speaks normally or make him have to learn english so you get the caveman speak, it doesn't make sense for a language download to make him speak like he does. that was just a minor pet peeve, but damn it just annoyed me. especially since i actually don't get what he meant when he told her he loved her the first time. it was incoherent. "this love move forever than warrior". ????. am i the only one who honestly don't know whether that means "fuck off" or "i love you"? also, how come alien romance just has to have human slavery in it? specifically the slavery of women? can't i get one, just ONE, alien romance that doesn't mention sexual slavery? apparently not. anyway, as alien romances go, this one was actually very enjoyable with the exception of the minor pet peeves ive described. me giving three stars to an alien romance (my probably least favorite romance subgenre) is basically a standing ovation.

Amber A. Bardan has written a sci fi romance story which is very good. I didn’t know this was part of a series but what I did read was interesting and it has great passion. Leila works in the mental health field and she is kidnapped by aliens. Her smarts and her leadership skills are recognized and someone wants to make use of that talent. Leila ends up escaping the ship so she isn’t abused by the aliens and goes on the run with hundreds of female survivors, an alien little girl, and a talking blue orb. Soon she finds herself in a pickle when she runs into Thor, a Baratican warrior who is in the midst of a mating fever. He is quite the alpha warrior , with a good sense of humor and who is attracted to Lelia. Their unique love story is one that captivated me and kept me reading. There was some slow points in the story and with this being a sci fi story, sometimes it was hard to understand all going on but their love story was really good, full of passion and humor. I loved Thor- he was definitely all alpha male and he was all dominate and full of that mating fever. Leila at times had me scratching my head. She was nice but it was like she was hard to connect with . I liked her but didn’t know if she was right for Thor. I still would read more of this series and this author again.
My Rating: 4.0 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
This book sucks you in from beginning to end. Leila is a strong female character who is kidnapped from Earth. She finds out she will be used for breeding or meat. With the help of a implant/computer she gets help escaping. Once she escapes with others who were also kidnapped they arrive on a non-hostile planet. There she meets Thor. Thor is a warrior of another race which only needs to mate to be married. He tries and she escapes, then finds herself back with him. She buys herself time and Thor agrees to "court" her. Throughout it all she has a manipulative computer speaking in her brain. I never liked the computer, and later on finding out more at the end, I still didn't like the computer. I did like Leila and Thor though. Thor tries his best to make sure he impresses Leila in everything. Leila is manipulating him but soon finds that she's also falling in love with him. Leila is a strong character who does what is needed to make sure she and the others can be saved. Thor is a strong warrior who isn't stupid in the least. The words flowed right off the page and painted an amazing story. I enjoyed it immensely and can't wait for book two! Leila and Thor's story will leave you sighing and looking to the sky for your warrior.
WARRIOR FOREVER is a full-length paranormal and sci-fi romance novel about Thor, an intergalactic alien warrior who fell in love at first sight with Leila, a human captive who landed on planet Baratican .
She had to save her fellow human women captives who were trapped in a space machine and about to be trafficked. The mighty alien adored her and he was her key to be able to execute her plans. But the plan went wayward when she developed feelings for him. So she had to choose between her mission and her lonely adorable warrior. She was a leader in this task. She was his mate. Doubts crept her mind, which was being influenced by a mechanical orb. In the end, she chose to be happy. Unconditionally. And she became a hero to her warrior forever.
This sexy book was funny and heart-melting at the same time ! Thor, the Baratican warrior was an over the top alpha-male who worshipped his mate. He's so metal-strong but weak in the knees for Leila. Her first encounter with him was so hilarious I couldn't stop laughing. Thor was just the sweetest! I can't wait to read more of their story in Warrior Ever After.
I have read an advanced copy of this book and this is a fair and honest review and recommendation voluntarily shared.
I am definitely reading outside of my comfort zone with this one. This book took me by surprise. I went into this book only picking it up because of the author. I knew nothing about it when I signed up for the tour. When I did the cover reveal for it, I thought I’d be in trouble because it was an alien sci-fi romance. I am glad to say it was a pleasant read for me.
Alien sci-fi is not usually my jam. It did take me a while to get into this one, but once I did, it picked up quickly! I did spend the first few pages confused. All I could think was how impossible it was. Once I righted my mind into sci-fi land, which wasn’t easy, it went smoothly.
This was an interesting book, to say the least. Bardan’s writing never fails to excite me. I have enjoyed all of her books, this one was no different. It was super steamy and rich in content.
Overall, Warrior Forever was a good read. I definitely enjoyed reading this steamy adventure of Leila and Thor.
Leila Hains is abducted by aliens from Earth and taken on board a slave ship by the Gillian's. When she is there she along with "Macca" help to rescue themselves and others who need their help.
But soon Leila finds herself in the arms of a man from the Boratian who are feared warriors. This one want Leila for himself.
This was a good book with some paranormal elements as well as lots of sex and laughs.
This is not my favorite genre so I had a hard time getting into the book but others will definitely enjoy this book if you are more into sci-fi.
I did really like Leila and how she was not willing to give up fighting to escape. She and Macca worked super well together and I loved how tough Leila was.
The scenes with Leila and her "Thor" were great and I thought the way they brought them together was awesome. Their scenes were hot and at the same time could be funny.
I was hooked from page one, so immersed in the story, I forgot what time it was. How can a fictional alien become your forever BBF? You’ll find out after reading this. Thor is just so sweet and pretty accommodating for a barbarian who has been waiting decades for a mate. And Leila is doing a pretty good job at not freaking out, keeping her sense of humor. Reading what she’s thinking had me chuckling. You will be turning the pages so fast to find out if Leila gives in to the mating or escapes the planet. My advice to her? Give in to the sex with an alien that can vibrate his tongue, fingers, and huge cock.
Warrior Forever by Amber A Bardan is a brilliant and hilarious 4 star read. You really need to one click this book and have a good laugh reading this great storyline and as an added bonus it is panty melting HOT and the hero vibrates. What more does a lady want? I'm not used to reading about vibrating warrior aliens but this book is definitely a page turner and pleaser. If you want to spend a light hearted, fun and white hot evening with a good book then I highly recommend you one click this one as soon as you can. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
This book caught my attention early on and didn't let go. It had good humorous moments that didn't derail the story. There were definitely moments where the heroine got on my nerves, but she was doing what would be natural when stuck in outerspace at the mercy of an alien and a computer (you have to read it to understand). I absolutely loved Thor (the H). Y'all, he vibrates! This book is not for everyone. Sometimes Leila's relationship with Thor seems more like Stockholm syndrome than genuine feelings, but I think she developed them. Also this book will have a part 2, so expect that.
I don't normally read sci-fi romances, however I've read other books by this author so I thought I would give it a go.
I enjoyed it more than I thought I would; there was a great story line and good character development. I'm just disappointed that not all the elements where explored or explained as well as I would of liked.
Plus the story end with the promise of the next book, but the author has disappeared and now I will never know what was supposed to happen.
Interesting to say the least. I loved the characters, all of them. They each had such a different and unique voice. It was easy to tell them apart. They really came to life. Not once did I forget Thor was an alien, yet he was still very likable. The ending, way to give us our HEA yet leave us wanting.
Well it wasn’t Ruby Dixon’s barbarians but it wasn’t bad. Heroine did have a few tstl moments that ultimately led to some eye rolls and good griefs on my side. Also didn’t realize this was first of a series and ends on a cliffhanger with no sign of if/when the author is picking this series back up so kind of a bummer there.
This book is completely outside my wheelhouse. I had to change my mindset to read it. But I fell in love! It’s a wonderful story and I really can’t wait for the next one!
