It was nice to hear about the behind the scenes (almost) about Michael Jackson. Getting someone else’s point of view on what type of person he was.

I needed a positive pick-me-up, as I found myself thinking of and missing the fact that Michael Jackson was no longer of this earth, so I decided to read this book after having it around for about 2 years. It was just the anecdote that I needed. Theresa Gonsalves took me back to a time of innocence when I truly enjoyed MJ and it was just sweet to read of how she wrote the letters, that they actually met and how Michael and his family welcomed her with open arms.

Ms. Gonsalves is writing the letters, reliving their time together, to a deceased Michael Jackson but using the same style that she did when she actually wrote her first letters to him. There are a few intimate details and I still don't know what I think about the author including them, but it was her experience and her story to tell. For the most part, the book is just a wonderful revelation of her and MJ basically being two shy, regular teenagers, despite the fact that Michael was already a star; though he hadn't reached super stardom yet. Even then, Michael was influential and he had ideas already brewing about preserving the earth, concerns about abused children etc. . . I enjoyed this short, inside look into Michael Jackson through her eyes.

what a sad sorry life for such a talented performer. I've always believed being a celebrity would be a kind of hell on earth. this biography supports my belief. Well written and interesting. Rings true
