About the author

Marion Comfort (Lewis) Renick attended Springfield (Ohio) High School and later graduated from Wittenberg University. In addition to being the author of more than 30 books, she conducted book broadcasts on the Ohio School of the Air, taught at Ohio State University, and was an editor of My Weekly Reader. During her career she received the National Headliner Award as well as honors from her college and from Ohio libraries. Marion lived in Detroit, Michigan, and later in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband, James, who was also a writer.
