The cover of this book captured my attention, but the story line was too complicated for a picture book for the young. The reader/listener meets four cats and two humancats (real [people) on the first page. Then there are two more cats named on the next page with text. Brewster is not yet introduced. Kids who've been taught to pray will relate to the cat prayer. But the sentence lengths makes it hard to decide the age of the intended readers. Many were way too long. One contained 28 words.
