There’s a sayin’ that if you come from my part of town, that you’re from around the way. Around the Way Girls 4 is a look at the life of some street-smart women who think they have the world in the palm of their hands, but are about to find out that things aren’t always what they seem.

For talented artist Jovia Grant, life has gone from one extreme to the other. Being raised by a single mother living in a lavish home, her much needed break from home comes when she is accepted into a summer art program where she rediscovers old friends and meets a few new ones. Essence ® Bestselling Author La Jill Hunt brings the drama in Thug Passion as these two worlds collide and her family discovers she’s been learning more than art.

Once again, Dwayne S. Joseph weaves a dramatic tale of love and betrayal in All for Love . After the turmoil she’s suffered in her twenty years, Rayne is thankful for the safety and companionship given to her by her book, Love. Unfortunately for Rayne, the drama and heartache are about to come in her life in a major way, when she finds out she’s pregnant with Quincy’s baby.

For Jada West it was All About the Money . From dancing at the best club, to becoming the city’s top Madame, whatever it took to make piles of paper, that’s what she was about. In this tale of power and money, Roy Glenn brings a different flavor to this around the way girl as Jada discovers that in the end, there is something more important than money.

Around the Way 4

The book that I currently just finished is Around the Way Girls 4 by La Jill Hill and Dwayne S. Joseph. This book was first published on July 01, 2007 and was set to become a 3-part fiction book.In the book, there are three different lifestories of three different girls Rayne, Jada, and Jovia. Rayne’s story was All for Love, where it talks about how Rayne has to choose between Quincy or Love.

Rayne is twenty years old girl from New York, who has fallen so hard for this girl name Love. On her eighteenth birthday, Rayne and her friends decided to get tattoos that day where she met Love. Love was working behind the counter where Rayne first started to talk. Love was helping Rayne choose the right tattoo for her and also complimenting her on body frame. Every since Rayne’s eighteenth birthday, Rayne and Love has been going out but their relationship wasn’t all sugar and honey at all. Their relationship was very much aggressive to the point every time Love gets mad from something she would go hit on Rayne or tried to kill her.

When Love and Rayne would get into, Rayne would always run to her friend Quincy for help. Until one day, her and quincy had expressed their feelings towards each other and ended up having sex. Weeks and weeks went by until, one day Rayne took a pregnancy test and seen two pink lines that read she was pregnant. She started to think to herself how she was going to tell Quincy that she is pregnant and how she would tell Love and how she would react about the situation. I feel as in Dwayne was trying to make a connection with girls out there with a similar situation as in Rayne by being going behind both of her lovers’ back.

Dwayne to me is trying to persuade and entertain his audience by explaining how you shouldn’t do everything for love.I feel as in he is also telling how controlling relationships are in couples. To me I feel as in that any type of relationships shouldn’t be controlling in eyes. Also I feel in that he is probably putting some of his similar experience in the story. This story was to me was good because this story contain some very strong emotions in the characters.

To start off I larned from the first story that you can't always have your way & that keeping secrets from the ones you "love" isnt quite the best way to go about things. I also learned to not except everything to go "peaches and cream" when you reveal a secret to your loved ones. What I liked most about this story was that it was very brave and interesting, it made me see how bad secrets are. From the second story i learned not to trust everyone you meet & that your friends arent always right, they dont always want the best for you, sometimes they only want the best for themselves. something I didnt like about this book was that the girl had an abortion and that her parents were kindof protective with her because they had money. in the last story I leanred that money can be fun for a minute but it doesnt give you complete happiness and that it isnt always good to sell yourself just to buy you a nice car. I liked this story because in the end the girl that ran the brother learned her lesson. My experience reading this book was shocking and interesting because they were alot of parts that would leave you with your mouth open. I think mostly girls would like this book becuase these storys are mostly about stuff that happens to girls.

I thought that this book was really good. I show me that not everyone is who they seem to be even if u knew them for one year. They always have a side of them that u would think would have at all. An even if you think just because someone save you from the streets it doesn't mean that they can beat you. An that you shouldn't hold in something that happen to you to your self and if you have to runway to get help from someone else.
I also learned from this book is that sometimes you have to runaway to get back to yourself if you feel like your whole life is being made out for you. Or even if u have to work in the most uncomfortable place to so can have a place to live. So I think the this book catch my eye because it tell what happens in really life even though this is a Urban Friction book, But this is a good that I recommend to read.

I like books like this because they keep my attention. I don’t get caught up in drama but I love reading about it. It’s kind of like a guilty pleasure. I can meddle in someone else’s business without getting involved in the drama or snooping around. With 3 different stories the drama just keeps on coming. Around the Way Girls is also a series. So there are many other books filled with love, hate, jealousy, and other hardships these street smart girls have to overcome.
I give this book 5 stars because this book has taken me through an emotional roller coaster. I’ve laughed and I’ve cried and that’s what I look for in a good book. I dislike reading books that don’t move me or feel like they have only one emotion throughout the whole story. This book was the total opposite and the perfect fit for me!

I think I'd give this more of a 2.5 stars than a 2 but I can't really see giving it a 3 honestly. The Dwayne S. Joseph story was the best in my opinion- I would read the full length story anytime. Roy Glenn's story was okay although there were some parts that didn't seem to fit in my eyes.
I love La Jill Hunt but I really don't have much to say about her story Thug Passion. The story was okay but just seemed to not belong in this book at all. I suppose by itself, geared towards pre-teens it would be okay.
Overall, it was damn near a waste of time. On to #5.

Well where can I start about this crasy book. This book has three different storys about three different girls. All three of them are brave and young girls that sometimes have no choice to accept what comes around and handle the bad things. This book maintains a couple of bad words and bad sentences that could give an expressive bad image but is a very great book which happend in real life it could be dedicate for people specially girls that faced things they never expected and never wanted to face.

Average writing and plot development. The lesbian relationship that started this trilogy was scary and all too real. I would have never started a relationship with the character named Love. Deadly. All About the Money and Thug Passion were stories that I read before. This book is something to do if you have about two hours and you don't want to watch TV. Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates. Peace in the Middle East.
