Three steamy reads that included some palace intrigue, a princess, Lady and a madame for a brothel that has caught the eye of a royal guard. These reads are fast-paced with lots of drama, suspense and mystery. The chemistry is steamy and the stories are entertaining. A good read.

The stories were previously released separately under the pen-name of Ravyn Raine as Palace Secrets, Maiden Claimed, and Grave Misfortune. The stories do contain dubious consent and lesbian scenes. There are many twists and turns within the tale and will keep the pages turning. An excellent erotic mystery now all in one.

This story kept me captivated with its twist and turns and is very well written. This is an erotic fairy tale mystery and suspense story that entails lies, secrets, deceit, murder, espionage, along with two kingdoms uniting. The characters are strong and resourceful, but not everyone can be trusted. What is the saying? "Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer." Isabella knows she must marry, and the unity between the kingdoms is vital, and she feels drawn to Prince Alexander and knows he will become King very soon since his father, King Charles in on his deathbed. He accepts and grants her wish to bring her maids and lady-in-waiting, Hannah, with her. More secrets will eventually come to light, but how will they affect the new King and Queen? Can they all find their HEA ending?
2. Maiden Claimed
LADY HANNAH AND DUKE LUCAS
This is a continuation of the Palace Secrets. Hannah is the mistress of King Alexander and Queen Isabella, but they must keep it quiet about their full arrangement, or lives will be at stake. Hannah finds herself helping abused women, and before she knows it, her secrets and lies get out of hand. What happens when Lucas and Hannah start having feelings, and the King lets Lucas know that Hannah is his mistress and off-limits? So many secrets, so many lies. Can Hannah find her happily ever after like Ella did? This is a great addition that keeps the pages turning.
3. Grave Misfortune

I was lucky enough to be able to read an ARC of this collection and this is my honest review.
1. PALACE SECRETS
The uncertainty and fear of Isabella seeing Alexander kill his father the morning after the wedding is portrayed in such a way I actually felt the trepidation in the pit of my stomach. Now, what happens? Is Isabella in danger of being murdered for her kingdom as well? And how is she going to be able to hang onto the love of her lady or will that be lost as well?
2. MAIDEN CLAIMED
Hannah has been mistress to the King and Queen for some time now but she's actually starting to feel like a third wheel. Besides, publicly, the Queen cannot have a mistress since it's considered treason to the King and punishable by death so, she is the King's mistress in public and their mistress in private. In "Maiden Claimed", it starts off with Hannah taking a simple trip to Paris in order to find the 'perfect' birthday present for Isabella. What transpires is the beginning of a snowball that might just roll out of control before it can be stopped.
3. GRAVE MISFORTUNE
If you've read "Maiden Claimed" then you know Vincent was wanting Lady Hannah's help in finding him a young lady to make his bride. One was found and brought to the castle but when it was attacked Charlotte stole a horse and went straight back to Paris. In his search to find her, Vincent meets Helene and decides she there is something alluring about her and wants to continue seeing her. But Helene hasn't told him her secrets. One, she's married to an abusive lout that drinks and gambles. Two, she's the Madame of the whore house. And then there's three and it's so big she doesn't reveal it to anyone but everyone knows secrets eventually come to light. What will the consequences bring?
Allison West has the ability to bring her world to life and give her characters such perfectly flawed personalities they become easy to relate to. Each book is an easy read with a storyline that just flows so easily and a small plot that works throughout. This was an overall swoon-worthy read.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this collection of stories about Isabella, Prince Alexander, Hannah, Lucas, Helene and Vincent. It's three stories that in are built on each other's characters. Starting with Isabella, Hannah and Prince Alexander. It's about finding a new life in a new castle while starting true. When Lucas throws his presence into the mix it adds more intrigue to the story. Then when Lucas and Hannah run into Helene, it opens another story to build on. The last story is about Vincent and Helene as well as King Alexander. There is murder, fires, espionage, betrayal, a fire and secrets galore.

Three stories is not necessarily a good thing if those three stories are truly silly. Sadly, I didn't like any of the main characters, they were shallow, self serving, juvenile, and not at all sympathetic. I had a hard time making it through book 1 and only made it through book 2. DNF, and that's pretty rare for me.

This is three short books rolled into one. I did enjoy the first two books, but the last one leaves much to be desired. It doesn't really capture your interest. I felt myself getting distracted and disinterested. It seemed like the author was just trying to fill the pages. The very ending just seems to cut off. The only reason for the 3 star rating is because of the first two stories.

I loved each book in this collection they each were standalone sand the characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is undeniable and hot. The storylines flowed well with plenty to offer as entertainment.

This is a collection of three short stories that are a delight to read. They are set in Victorian times with twists and turns that kept me page turning as fast as I could. The author’s use of detailed and colorful language allows the reader to easily picture the scenes.
