Christmas Mountain #4

Es war der Kuss vor Weihnachten (Liebe in Christmas Mountain)

Rate this book

I have been reading several Christmas stories already. I know...it's not even Halloween yet. But I can't help myself. I love a sweet and cozy Christmas story and this one was like icing on a cake...the perfect read in my Christmas book line up!

Faith Sterling needed a job. And she has a dear friend help her find the perfect one for her. A year later, she is missing her boss who passed away unexpectedly, and she's awaiting his heir to come and take over Silver Bells Luxury Tours. Expecting him to come and fall in love with Silver Bells like his father and Faith, it's a big shock when she learns Adam Kline is planning to sell the company.

Not with Faith on watch, he won't! I had so much fun reading about Faith's antics as she plots and plans everything that Adam needs to know about this company. Even a few sabotaged moments are thrown in there. I think I highlighted the whole of chapter 7 because it made me laugh so hard. I didn't plan to but I just kept highlighted moments and comments and realized I'd pretty much highlighted it all. So funny! And it doesn't just stop in that chapter. The whole book is full of witty, charming and silly moments.

Add to all the fun moments so very sweet and swoony ones! Wowsers! Faith and Adam were great characters on page. The chemistry building between them was sizzling. The 'Twas the kiss before Christmas' moment...ha! Fast thinking there Faith! Adam didn't know what was coming!

I loved all the Christmas memories throughout this read. But I loved the healing that came from just memories in general. Coming to realize that not everything you perceive is what is reality. Adam has some healing that he needs to experience. I loved how Susan Hatler wrote that healing through Faith but also through the other employees at Silver Bells, as well as moments and items from his past that shed a whole new light on his dad and everything around him. It was really touching. I love when a story can touch me and make me reevaluate different aspects of my own life and realize that I need to adjust my perspective and understanding. A little self evaluation can go a long ways.

If you enjoy sweet, swoony and humorous romance, you need to pick this one up! Susan Hatler always delivers a fabulous read that draws me in and doesn't let me go until I've finished the last page. Even then, I want the story to continue. If you've read her books before, you're in for a treat. If you haven't start now! Don't wait!

Christmas time is magical and this story portrays that enchantment in a delightful way. Faith returned home to her small hometown to find answers and resolution and instead, discovered herself, while Adam returns home to discard his past and move on. Their worlds collide in the most charming, sweet, and hilarious ways and I just couldn't get enough.

Faith is determined to show Adam (not tell) the reasons why he shouldn't sell the Christmas business his father worked hard to build, but it's definitely not easy and there are some moments of conflict and frustration. But Christmas magic is magical and I loved watching that magic infiltrate the story, causing true selfless feelings to emerge, even amidst betrayal.

Susan Hatler writes such witty stories with irresistible characters and this Christmas Mountain series is sure to put jingle bells on your toes, a smile on your face, and put you in the Christmas spirit.

Content: mild romance

I had a hard time with the voice in this one- I couldn't relate or connect at all to the main character Faith, and it was told in her perspective only. More telling than showing, and she came across as self-centered and single-minded, although for a good cause- her cause. I'll give other books by this author a try since I have several Goodreads friends who enjoy her stories, but I suspect the writing style may not be my cup of tea.

Faith Sterling relishes all things in her small town, including her job at Silver Bells Luxury Tours. Adam Kline inherited Silver Bells Luxury Tours after his dad passed, but doesn't want anything to do with it because of some hurtful memories he has and hopes to sell it fast so he can leave town. But Faith is decided to convince him to keep the store and stay in town, and after going about all the time together, they fall in love. Will they end up together?
This was a cute story, i adored Faith and Adam and their moments together were so sweet. Their HEA was perfect.

About the best thing I can tell you about this book is that it made me smile! I love the holidays and to read about an entire town that jumps all in? Wonderful! This particular story is about another member of a long-ago choir team, Faith Sterling. Faith’s journey back to her hometown of Christmas Mountain hasn’t been an easy one however when her old mentor, Ms. King, asks for the team to grant her a dying wish, Faith knows she MUST come back, no matter the cost.

No spoilers but a wonderfully jolly gentleman (who will seem SO familiar!) offers her a lifeline, which she takes, and it opens up so much of the world to her and gives her, well, faith – something she never thought she’d have again. During her stay in Christmas Mountain, someone else who has been away most of his life, returns to tidy up some loose ends, and his name is Adam Kline. Adam, too, has much to deal with but working with Faith comes to mean so much more to both of them.

This is a sweet, wonderful, sometimes LOL funny love story for Faith and Adam. Each one has much to deal with in coming to terms with how they view their own pasts and of course, how well they work as a team. Lovely, lovely story that hit all the holiday ‘feels’ for me and I recommend!

Faith loves her job managing Silver Bells Luxury Tours. She's great with the guests, makes everyone feel like a friend, and embraces the spirit of Christmas. She is devastated when her boss dies, but has high hopes that his son, Adam Kline will step into his father's footsteps with the company. When Adam does return to Christmas Falls months later, it's not to run the business, but to sell it. Faith can't decide whether to sabotage him or help him.

I loved Faith's passion for the business, the town, and for the Christmas season. She was great at spreading joy. I loved watching her attempts to sway Adam. Some of them were comical, some were over the top, and some touched my heart. This story got me in the mood for Christmas, and almost cheered me up about the impending snowstorm heading my way...in September...

What I really loved though was the way that Faith brought Adam and his father together. She helped Adam see how much his father had loved him, and that his father would have understood and forgave him. I also loved the sweet and lighthearted moments between Faith and Adam (especially their mistletoe kisses). I think that a good partner will bring out the best in you, and Faith and Adam definitely did that for one another.

Content: clean (some kissing, no language)

It may only be September but it is never too early for a fabulous Christmas romance. I was swept away into the world of Christmas Mountain. The story was so wonderfully Christmassy, I loved the magical touches throughout the story. It would make a wonderful Christmas movie. Just a shame that I can't take a Silver Bells Luxury tour.

This was again a great story in Christmas Mountain.
I love the chemistry between Faith and Adam.
He’s a New Yorker and has inherited his father Silver Bells imperium in Montana, he goes there to sell everything and instead he finds the love of his life there: Faith.

This romance delivers a delightful combination of sweetness and emotion. I thought that Faith and Adam were both wonderful characters that were easy to relate to. Adam is reeling from the death of his father and the major regrets he harbors over their relationship. As many of us can attest to, this blend of emotions can often lead to short sighted decision making and even more regrets later on. I felt for him and was so glad that Faith entered his life at just the right time. Faith, I also felt was very easy to connect with. She loves her job, her life and where she lives. When all that is threatened she goes into full on "cheerleader mode" to show Adam all the important and charming things he just can't see. This is just a truly wonderful read, that provides lots of smiles and feels. I am posting an independent impartial review.

‘TWAS THE KISS BEFORE CHRISTMAS is a charming, funny, and poignant romance between a woman who has found her place and a man who allows regrets to dictate his future. Falling in love can be easy once you let the past go.

Faith loves her town, the mountains, the holiday feel all the time, even the, sometimes, quirky residents cannot dim the light on her enjoyment of Christmas Mountain. In fact, part of her job is to show tourists the beauty of her town and the surrounding area. Now, that future may be in danger as Adam has returned to town after his father’s death with the plan of selling fast and getting out of town even faster. Faith needs to concentrate on convincing Adam not to sell – and not on her attraction to the, at times, annoying man.

I’ve always enjoyed Susan Hatler’s romance, she delivers not only a touching love story but a few life lessons, subtly given, to be learned along the way as well. Adam has some serious regrets regarding his relationship with his dad that now are only going to be lingering regrets – unless he learns to accept and let go of the past. And perhaps keep his father’s legacy alive through what he loved. Watching Adam heal from the past and embrace his love for Faith was a lovely, heartfelt journey – and I loved every moment of it.

If you love getting caught up in the Christmas Spirit, even a bit early, and a really good, realistic love story then you need to pick up ‘TWAS THE KISS BEFORE CHRISTMAS, now.

I really love Susan's witty and fun romances, this one touches on the sensitive side a bit. It is a beautiful story of loss and love found. It is a wonderful tale that will reach into the depths of your soul and ingrain the spirit of Christmas in you.

Silver Bells Luxury Tours has been Faith's rescue for over a year now. Mr Kline gave her the job at a time in her life when she needed the distraction. But since the loss of Mr Kline, business has been a bit down. But all that will change when Mr. Kline's son comes back to run the business.

Adam Kline has returned to a home he abandoned years ago. A relationship with his father not repaired is one of his biggest regrets. Well he just needs to get rid of the last thing holding him back. So here he is in Snow Mountain to sell his fathers legacy. Unfortunately for Adam it may not be as easy as he thought. Especially when he meets Faith.

A tale of remembrance and beautiful love, this Christmas story is sure to warm your soul. The characters are sweet and amazing. Each with a story to tale. With small town vibes and Christmas celebrations, this book is sure to show you what Christmas used to be and what we in the newer generation miss out on as traditions don't pass down as they should. I love how the trip through memory lane brings two beautiful souls together.

If you love Christmas and all the joy it brings, then you should pick up this heartfelt story. It is truly a remarkable Hallmark worthy read. So break out the tissues and get ready for this go to Christmas read of the year.

'Twas the Kiss Before Christmas' by Susan Hatler is the fourth book the multi-author Christmas Mountain Romance series and tells the story of Faith Sterling and Adam Kline. This is a standalone romance with no cliffhanger set during the Christmas holidays. Faith works for Silver Bells Luxury Tours in Christmas Mountain, Montana and loves her job, her town, and Christmas. Unfortunately, the owner of Silver Bells passed away and his son, Adam, inherited the business. Adam lived in Christmas Mountain until his parents got divorced and he and his mother moved away. He has no intention of keeping his father's business and plans on selling it as soon as possible. However, Faith is determined to show Adam what a boon it is to own Silver Bells. Adam is not interested in Silver Bells but he is quite interested in Faith.

Ms. Hatler has written a wonderful addition to the series. This story has drama, great dialogue, laughs, and passion. This was a sweet romance where neither Faith nor Adam were looking for love but found it anyways. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of Christmas with their romance. I can not wait for the next book in the series.

What more could you want? A Susan Hatler book and a Christmas book on top of that!! Day made for sure. I love how each one of Susan's books leaves me with that warm, giddy feeling inside. I am always sad when these books come to an end because I could read them forever. They way Susan Hatler writes makes you feel a part of the daily lives of these characters. They are your friends and as you get to know them more, it feels like they become family!

Faith is the manager of Silver Bells Luxury Tours. When the owner passes away and things are left to his son, Adam, to make decisions about the business, Faith is not so sure that things are going to work out for Silver Bells. Silver Bells has been Faith's life for the time that she has worked there and has no clue what she would do if Adam ends up selling the business like there are talks of. Adam lives in New York and when he comes for a visit to see what all needs to be done to get the business in order, Faith is determined to show Adam why he can't close Silver Bells.

Adam has always been amazed at how his father kept his business open and how he made ends meet with it, but when he decides that he needs to sell the business in order to get money for a partnership he wants, he never dreamed that he might fall in love with Silver Bells himself. There is so much more to it than Adam could ever imagine.

Faith and Adam hit it off of course and that makes it even harder on Adam to choose what he wants to do with the business. There are several potential buyers, but no one is set on it just yet. Adam and Faith get to experience some of the special moments everyone loves Silver Bells for, but Adam is still not convinced it is for him.

What will happen to Silver Bells as well as Adam and Faith? Do you believe in the magic of the season? You will have to read this one and find out what the outcome is. Such a great read that you too will be sad ends when you come to the closing of the book. I love these characters and want more of them for sure!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book! Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for and advanced copy of this book! Highly recommend!!

The stories about Mrs. King’s choir girls are so much fun to read. In this one, Faith, finds herself struggling with everything about her life. She finally came home to Christmas Mountain and found a place that she loved to work, Silver Bells. Mr. Kline, the owner, was the man who gave her back her joy and confidence. But world is turned upside down by Mr. Kline’s death and arrival of his son, Adam, who is determined to sell Silver Bells. She tries everything to stop that from happening, but can she?

The fun part about this and the other Christmas Mountain stories, is that they each center around one of the girls. They each show that life is not easy but it is messy and full of happiness and sadness. You see the struggles that the characters go through and you find that those are very real and can happen to anyone in real life. They are refreshing and well worth reading.

Who doesn't love a sweet Christmas romance?

Faith loves Christmas mountain, its her home and she built a family for herself here. When Adam, her new boss comes to town to sell the business, Faith faces multiple challenges head on. But like the author says, "something's are just meant to survive".

I love the fact that the protagonists didn't have a grand misunderstanding. There were challenges but these were resolved quickly and with civility. Both the protagonists were given strong backstories, making the more compelling and realistic. The side characters were fun and entertaining, and moved the story along well.

This book is part of a series but I read it as a standalone and didn't find and issues with it.

A beautiful story about finding a way back home.

I received a copy of the book from Netgalley and all opinions are my own.

A sweet lovely christmassy story! A emotionally stunted man and a woman who nearly loses hope in her namesake. A X-massy love story with more then just focus on the couple but on family, friends and others. Love comes from all sides... the love of a parent and of friends and love of self. It’s witty and emotionally charged with a most cherished holiday backdrop ... Christmas. I love Susan’s work!! I’m never disappointed and just love how she flows as a storyteller with new and inventive plots. In fact the ending or near ending surprised me. I don’t want to spoil the book by telling parts; just buy it. You won’t be sorry! Thanks so much for allowing me to read it for an honest review. I cannot be more honest then I loved it! Now will go check out the rest of the series!!

This is a cute , clean romance perfect for the Christmas season. A time of new beginnings, new hope and finding happiness and peace.
Faith Sterling and Adam Kline meet when Adam returns to his hometown after his father’s death, to sell the property where Faith has been working for the past year.
Each wants something different for the tour company. One wants to sell, the other one wants to keep the tradition going. Who will convince the other one over to their side? Will the budding relationship prevail, or will it melt away if neither gets what they thought they wanted?

I was drawn into this amazing Christmas adventure with Faith and Adam, and I am going to be honest, I never wanted it to end! Christmas Mountain is the perfect setting with the gorgeous mountain and quaint town. Faith was so fun and full of spirit! She was positive, beautiful, and pretty sneaky (or resourceful). Her best laid plans were constantly derailed by her new boss, Adam Kline. While he was a tall, dark drink of water, she could not let herself be distracted by that! No, she needed to focus on saving her favorite place and her job. This is a charming and fun story full of all my favorite things; romance, Christmas, and those swoon-worthy moments! I received a copy of this book for free; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I got the book, had to stop reading the book I was reading to read this one. Glad I did. Like most of Susan Hatler’s books, this is a warmhearting, fun, easy, cute read. This book another in the series about the friendship of seven women who grew up together in the small town of Christmas Mountain, Montana. After years of going their own ways their school choir teacher, Ms. King asks them to return home to sing in a Christmas festival. Each book in the series is about one of the women. So far, this and previous story have been insightful. I recommend as a quick and enjoyable book.

I love Christmas romance books. 'Twas the Kiss Before Christmas by Susan Hatler is one I really loved. The characters are all very likeable. Well, except for Viles. I especially liked meeting Faith and Adam and reading along as they found their HEA. One big plus for this story is that there are a lot of Christmas events described in it. That made me feel part of the Christmas experience. This was a fun read!

‘Twas the Kiss Before Christmas book 4 in the Christmas Mountain Clean Romance Series by Susan Hatler. Even though this is the 4th book in the series it can very well be read as a standalone. I love Christmas stories and this one was one of the best I have read so far this year. Susan Hatler wrote a wonderful story which drew me in, making me forget the world around me and did not let me go until I turned the last page. I did not want to put it down. It has humor, romance and will definitely make you smile. This book has all the holiday feels. Go and grab it and start reading you will not be sorry.

So sweet and romantic! I really enjoyed Faith and Adam's story. Faith goes to the funniest lengths to stop Adam from selling Silver Bells, but she also tries to show Adam how important Silver Bells is. They have some lovely conversations. The last chapter was so the perfect way to wrap everything up. I highly recommend this clean Christmas read!

Faith loses someone close to her and her new boss helps her through the loss. He believes in Christmas and has a bunch of tours that shows his Christmas spirit. Then he dies and his son comes to sell the business. Faith does everything she can think of to save the business and get Adam to think with his heart and not just his head. She seems on the verge of getting everything including the man when Adam finds out that she tried to sabotage him. They both must decide if they can work out their problems and listen to each other or call it quits. This was an emotional book for me. It was so good I felt their pain. I loved this book by Susan Hatler.
