⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I couldn’t put this book down. The storyline is harrowing but is told in a brilliant way. Amazon Review, SACRIFICE
Scream! Scream Louder! Suffering in silence is not an option.
Shadows of the night bring fear. Children are missing. Parents hide in terror.
Body parts are turning up around Brighton. The murders are both horrific and beyond anything Brighton CID have witnessed. A sadistic killer is targeting the children of asylum seekers, leaving them dumped and mutilated.
Scott faces a wall of silence and a terrified community who trust no one, especially the police.
Frustration hangs over Scott like a stormy cloud as officials and hostile locals undermine the team's progress. A breakthrough linked to a far flung country is Scott’s only hope of saving more young lives before it’s too late.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “I've just read all the Scott Baker series (8 books) back to back, and would highly recommend them to everyone, Jay Nadal is up there with the best! A sign of great writing when you feel as if you are there in the room with the team - I've laughed, cried, held my breath and had quite a few late nights and early mornings not being able to switch the kindle off.” Amazon Review, GREED

Crime Never Pays… Well yes and no depending on what side of the fence you’re on!
I’ve always had a strong passion for whodunnits, crime series, and books. The more I immersed myself in it, the stronger the fascination grew.
In my spare time, you’ll find me in the gym, reading, binge watching Netflix or taking walks in the forest.
Oh, and I’m an avid people watcher, I just love to watch people, their mannerisms, and their way of expressing their thoughts… weird I know, but I could spend hours doing that. It's funny, because watching people often gives me insights and inspiration for describing human interaction in my books.
Fun fact: My favourite, bestest place ever on earth? Any of the Florida theme parks and the mad coasters out there. Add the food, shopping and weather, and you've got the best place on earth... especially when I see the joy on the faces of my family when we're out there :)
Weird fact: Spending an afternoon in a mortuary to bring my books to life. Oops! poor choice of words there :)
Sacrifice is book 5 in the DI Scott Baker series by Jay Nada. Detective Inspector Scott Baker and his team caught a crimson case of murdering children of asylum seekers. Detective Inspector Scott and his team had to race to find an answer before another child died. However, the more they investigate, the more disturbing the investigation becomes for the team. The readers of Sacrifice will continue to follow Detective Inspector Scott's investigation to find out what happens.
Sacrifice is another gripping book by Jay Nada. This book engaged me from the start, and I was unable to put the book down. I enjoyed the ride that Jay Nada took me with the story and the characters of Sacrifice. I did cry at times with what was happening. I love Jay Nada's portrayal of his characters and the way they interact with each other throughout this book. Sacrifice is well written and researched by Jay Nada. I like Jay Nada's description of the Sacrifice settings, which allows me to imagine being part of the book's plot.
The readers of Sacrifice will learn the consequences of Human trafficking for everyone involved. Also, the readers of Sacrifice will understand the effects of political greed and power on a community.
I totally loved all your books. Greed,Stolen,Retribution,Captive and sacrifice all had me engrossed in their own way. I love a good book I can get lost in and this series certainly did that. With 5 books each with a new case to solve. The pages turned themselves as each difficult case became more gripping. They each had plenty of twists and turns but I also love series that allow you to get to know the detective and his back ground and have personal battles while solving the case. Perfect in everything I loved reading this series and would highly recommend the books to any reader who loves murder, mystery with twists n turns. Can't wait for book 6? Got to find out what happens with Scott n Cara,Abby n Johnathon. Is mike OK? Please please Jay can we have book 6 soon?
I personally found the subject of this story barbaric and extremely distressing to read. The fact that this primitive, cruel acts take place in countries such as South Africa is abhorrent, repugnant and not a subject to base a fiction story. The details of execution on very young children was far too graphic. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the previous books in this series and sincerely hope book 6 continues in the usual format. Jay Nadal must spend hours and hours doing the research for his books! The detail and depth in the things he writes about prove it. And his books show it. This was another amazing book, with a very original plot! And you could believe that this happens in some parts of the world. I couldn't stop reading this book! It was very engaging, and impressive! I will forever be looking forward to reading one of this authors books! Off to the next one!
Reading this book is like putting your emotions on a roller coaster, if you love British Police Procedural s and hard hitting murder mysteries you'll want to get on board, set in Brighton, DI Scott Baker and his team strive to solve the horrific murders of the children of asylum seekers, a child's murder is always heart breaking, but the way these little souls died is your worst nightmare.
Enjoyed this book from start to finish, the main character Scott grows on me with each book.Storyline excellent supporting characters very good look forward to the next book .
I really didn't like this book. Am enjoying the series generally but this was too graphic and violent for me, especially as it involves children. I ended up skipping parts of the text which I hate having to do
