Tracey was engaged to Ted...a politician and hopeful future Governor. Her mom wanted to impress his family with the wedding so bad that she got them so far in debt. Tracey had to quit the job she loved working with the dogs to get a job working as both a house keeper and taking care of an old man and his comatose daughter and trying to avoid the hostile son.

Maddox has partly stepped away from the club. If it wasn't because of the club his sweet baby sister would not have been shot in the head in front of him. He thinks it's retaliation from the other club which makes it his fault.

When Tracey starts working for his dad he has trouble staying away from her but he knows she is engaged.

Who will she chooses? A man with a temper who cares and even listens to her or Ted. Who is only ok in the sack and only thinks about work?

Who really shot the sister? Was it because of the club and retaliation or is the shooter closer than we think?

Olivia is shot and no longer the bright and beautiful person visible to the world. She's on life support system leaving Maddox angry at the world and The Dark Saints. Now six months later, Maddox has hired a live-in housekeeper and personal care aid for his father Sarge and his sister Olivia. Tracy Plumb is in dire straits prior to getting the job at The Castle. Tracy engaged to a man that treats her poorly and expects all her attention focused on him. Tracy's wants and needs never enter into her fiance mind. As Tracy's work at The Castle gives her purpose and hope. Tracy and Maddox's butt heads over her invading his space but she doesn't let it bother her. Can Maddox stop being angry? How does Tracy help everyone? Who shot Olivia? Your answers await you in Dark Instinct.

I seriously don't know how Ms. Blue writes such relatable stories with heart and soul. The characters and story are complex, complicated, rich, bold, dark, mysterious, honest, and intriguing. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book Dark Seduction.

The Beast has dark instincts until Beauty arrives!

Firstly, I’d like to thank Jayne for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review! I was a bit scared to start reading this book because I know war is coming with the Hawks and I’m a bit worried what will happen to all my favourite Dark Saints and their old ladies that I have come to love. But this book was especially well done!

Maddox is out to coffee with his sister, Olivia, when tragedy strikes. Maddox is hell bent on revenge and let’s his dark instincts take over, until his heart starts beating for Tracy instead:) Tracy is engaged to a future politician, but feels like she is a proverbial doormat as she doesn’t get listened to or even given attention unless it is to talk about wedding arrangements or told how to dress for what function. To give her life more meaning she applies for a job as a home health aide and housekeeper. She falls into her new life with zest, but can’t resist the attraction she has to Maddox! She falls in love with Sarge, Maddox Senior and Olivia’s ideas about restoring the Castle they live in, puts her on the path to removing the darkness from within the house as well as helping both men to heal emotionally:)

Loved this story and by far my favourite of all the Dark Saints! (For now......)

Another fantastic story in this series.

Maddox sees how is sister is shot in front of his eyes, but he doesn't see who does it. From that moment he only cares about finding the bastard and kill him. He does it himself without the help of the Dark Saints.
But at home he needs help with his father and sister and Tracy needs a job to get more money to help her parents. So she goes for the living in job at the castle where Maddox is living.

She takes good care of Sarge and Olivia, but also of Maddox, who doesn' want her around, but can't do without her either.
Bring in Tracy her awful fiance, the Hawks who are becoming more and more unfriendly with the Dark saints and a creep who has feelings for Olivia and you have a story full of action, danger and hot moments.
The sparks fly everywhere between Tracy and Maddox. And she is a strong woman, I like that. Especially when she sticks up for herself.

You can read it as a stand alone, but why would you? The other books a really good too.
Looking forward to read more in this series.

What a great read! This is the sixth book in the “Dark Saints MC” series. They just keep getting better as the series goes on! This book can be read as a standalone but I would suggest reading from the start, every character has a great story. I found this story to be well written and like with all the Dark Saints Maddox loves like he rides, fast, hard, and long. I loved Tracy; she is a wonderful addition to the Dark Saint’s old ladies. This book has great action, suspense and steaming hot romance. I’ll say it again, what a great read!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I can’t get enough of these Dark Saints! I love every story and fall for them Hot Saints more with each new book. Maddox and Tracey have become my favorite couple. Sarge also stole my heart. There were many twists to keep you glued to the story. Jayne has written a intriguing MC series that will have you lusting over all the members.
The Maddox household was in desperate need of someone to save them from the darkness that has surrounded the castle. Good thing Tracey came to the rescue. I loved this storyline and couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Another winner from Jayne, thank you!

This is the 6th book in this amazing series, and in my opinion, each book just gets better and better. My heart broke for Maddox and Sarge, and I loved how Tracy breathed sunshine and life back into their lives. This is a well written storyline which had me captivated and intrigued from the very beginning. This story is emotional, heartbreaking, healing, and with twists which had me on tenterhooks. This is my favourite genre to read, and this author certainly never disappoints her readers, and I cannot recommend her work enough for all MC lovers. Brilliant story Jayne!

I loved it! This whole series of standalones centred around the Dark Saints MC have been excellent. I've loved every story and every couple and Dark Instinct is every bit as good. The storyline is quite sad, it's a story of revenge and regret. Maddox is an angry, brooding biker with one goal, to find the Devil's Hawks member who shot his sister and exact his own punishment. What he doesn't want is to get close to Tracy, the beautiful home care aid his father hired. He won't risk anyone else he loves being hurt because of who he is. It's a great book, you won't want to miss it! I received an advanced reader copy.

I've read all of the books in this series and this author's other series. This author is one that I follow and love all of her books. This one was an ok read for me but I was disappointed somewhat with the book. First, the sub-plot of the h's engagement to a wealthy snob who's family accepted her only because she was "pretty" and would be photogenic during the fiancee's political career. Oh, she was a nurse's aide and really didn't fit into the upper class. It just didn't jibe with me. Then there were noticeable editing errors. I just felt like this book was thrown together quickly. But the underlying romance was a good one but the whole book could have been refined more IMO.

I was really looking forward to reading Maddox’s story since I started knowing a little more about him in previous books (and knowing how he and his new puppy got along together!). The beginning was a little slow going for me but once the story started I loved it and couldn’t put it down.
I absolutely loved Maddox. There were so many times I felt sorry for him but I’m happy he finally got his happy ending with Tracy, I thought they were great together. I loved getting to know Sarge in this story and revisiting some of the other characters too.
I felt the ending was a little rushed and jumped a bit but I’m excited to see what happens next for the Club

Samuel Maddox Jr, or Maddox, is a member of the Dark Saints MC when his life takes a turn for the worse when his sister Olivia ends up shot during a lunch date, leaving her on life support. Fast forward six months later where they hire a live-in housekeeper/nurse named Tracy Plumb to help care for his sister, as well as his father Sarge. Maddox and Tracy argue at first, especially when Tracy tries to help Maddox when all he wants is for her to watch over his sister and father. Maddox doesn’t want to get close to Tracy, fearing that she might end up hurt like his sister, or worse. Will Tracy be able to help Maddox out of his anger?

Just when I think these Dark Saints can't get any sexier, Jayne Blue gives you Maddox!!! Holy hottie, this man is a smoldering hot alpha with revenge on his mind. Maddox and Tracey are a great couple, they are well developed, interesting, have undeniable chemistry, and attitude to match. This might be my favorite Dark Saints MC book yet, although I think that every time. Give yourself a merry little Christmas and get this book. You won't regret it!!

Tracy and Maddox find themselves very attracted to one another but it is not the right time for either. She has a fiancé and he is focused on his anger over his sister's condition. I liked watching him and his family be drawn to her and seeing her stand up for herself and make some tough decisions. There are some surprises to keep it all interesting. It is a great choice for those who love MC romances with tough alphas that are real protective of those they love.

Fantastic read !
Maddox story is packed solid with harsh raw emotion, he and his father are both riddled with guilt and they are drowning in their own emotions. Maddox Jnr wants revenge for what happened to his sister, Olivia.
When Tracy takes on the job as housekeeper, it's not just the house that needs alot of work but the two bull - headed bikers that storm around the Castle.

Another great read from Jayne. This is a dark mystery that has Maddox going nuts to solve, not even his club can help him. And in walks Tracy to work at the Castle and finds the beast within. I loved that this book was to me about love and devotion and find revenge for his sister. An excellent read I couldn't put down.

Stop Placing Blame

An ARC was given to me and I agreed to voluntarily review it. My opinions are my own. Putting on airs has placed her parents in a costly position. So she has to do what is necessary to get them out of this situation. He feels like his life style destroyed an innocent, so he lives for revenge. Once they get past the obstacles, maybe they can find a life together.

Change of direction

Jeez what a rush. All set to marry Ted, Tracey was having doubts as his focus was elsewhere in his government campaign. She takes a job working for Maddox's family as a caregiver to care for his dad and sister. But she ends up doing more for Maddox's cold black heart and need for vengeance.

Yay the boys are back and I didn't want to put this one down. You will instantly connect with these characters. I'm not a big fan of insta-love stories but you can see how spending sooo much time in the dark Maddox was quickly drawn to the light that surrounded Tracy. Lovely girl, great story.
