There's not much to this one, but my son loves it. Each page has a silhouette of something that "goes," whether it be a truck, a bus, or an airplane. The bright colors are super appealing to tiny humans; we must have read this one fifty times while we had it checked out.
This book's simple illustrations have served my (2-5 year old) students well. Some use it as a successful "I can read" early literacy text. Others use it as inspiration for dramatic play in the our classroom's construction area. Others still have used the illustrations and text as models for their own artwork and early writing practice.
It's one of the books my two year old and I picked up from the library today. I like the colorful silhouettes for the different things. It simple one word or two words for each picture to expand her vocabulary. I think the signs could been taken out and maybe replaced with a bicycle or something. I'm on the fence about whether or not I'd buy it to add to our personal collection.
