You’re going to answer the last questions of your life! In a corrupted and economically ruined Japan where rich people are getting oiled with money sucked from the poor, just a regular girl Shiina tries to earn money through prostitution once she hears about her dad's bankruptcy. On her first assignment of attending an orgy at a party full of rich ba*tards, a young man wearing a demon mask breaks in, gives a speech on rich people's cruelty an savagely murders all of them except Shiina. When the man is gunned down by police, he attempts suicide by blasting off his own head with a bomb implanted inside the mask! Although this extraordinary incident is taken to be a single one, this act ignites a chain of savage murders performed by the same masked individual! A masked man comes back from death again an again to bring down the wrath of justice!
I loved it! On a whole Akumetsu is a bomb-blasting read! It touches all of realistic societies' problem and also forms a unique type of philosophical ground where brutal killing seems pretty natural(wait, did I say that out loud?!)! The artwork is smooth and crispy, awesomely detailed and nasty! I'm gonna read more volumes that is for sure!
Well guys I gotta say, this shounen manga was a pretty addicting and interesting 162 chapter read. I liked the fact that it’s different because it’s basically about a young bloke who has his homie clones to beat the crap out of corrupt politicians and basically take over the world. As much as Shou is a likeable main character, I would have liked to have seen him being paired up with Mary (nicknamed “Bloody Mary”) and Yamada. Mary just has this potential “badass” vibe that she can woop any villains ass whilst Yamada has “Reigen” vibes where he would be good at investigating things. It’s too bad the pair of these supporting characters weren’t really given much of a chance to be involved much in the story. It’s even too bad for Katsuragi to not join in Shous bloody riots, it’s too bad the guy had cancer and died at 15. Seriously broke my poor heart man😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I really liked the bloody action scenes in this like if you like your action, read this old skool manga if you have time to spare! Yes it’s rather political but it really does get you pumped for the “battle” scenes among Shous clones!
Ps read this from 7pm to 11:20pm so yeah it’s a very good manga to waste time on lads :D

Yeah, I know that Akumetsu is a kind of twisted hero fighting for ''justice'' but I have questions not answered yet: How he died and he is living again? This is a dystopian story or just he made a magic act/trick for his audience?
I was recommended this by a friend and apparently he is interested in ruining my life, as this is way more interesting than I thought it would be. So now, of course, I have to read the rest of the series.

Good psychological action thriller about a man killing corrupt politicians and bankers in a modern day Japan. After murdering them in a grisly way his mask explodes killing him. Other masked men going by the same name "Akumetsu" continue this violent campaign of murders to remove all "evil"
3.20 - Unpleasant Scrappy plot, rigid dialogue, and natural brutality. Useless characters are discarded and fail to intermingle substantially. Wimpy yet dynamic art with violence being the only emphasis. Fights against corruption in a brusque manner. Bemusing contingency that provides little explanation. Poorly organized interactions between characters that are rushed and abrupt. Use of force and prestige overwhelms the masses. Consumes within an unrelenting starvation for the spotlight. Recommended for those looking for surface-level action and another take on anti-heroes.
"Starting now you're going to answer the last questions of your life."
Deadpool x Robinhood fanfic in modern-ish day japan. Real political and the opening chapter and ending are pretty mid, tho the middle section is fantastic. This is just above a 4 and I don't want to dog the series so I just rounded to a 5. Read if you hate politicians and are looking for some wish-fulfillment.
Akumetsu has a fascinating premise and great art work but it is hard to say how this premise will resolve with so many plot questions introduced and none answered by the volume's conclusion. The ideological orientation of the main character is fascinating, as he targets various bureaucracies and governmental corruption but also is intent on redirecting the energies of these organizations toward improving the lives of Japanese people and fighting crime. Akumetsu has a vision for how the police should operate, and enacts violence on them so they will in turn be in service of the people. Still, before I can really understand what this manga is trying to convey, I think I need to see a few more of Akumetsu's plots unfold.
