Chloe Stevens is pregnant and the man she thought could be her one, turned out to be a player. As soon as he had slept with her he dropped her without a second glance. Michael Andrews has watched his two brothers find their mate, Michael thinks he may have found his but he didn't act on it. When Chloe shows up pregnant and with nowhere to turn, Michael decides it is time to stand up and be the man he should be to his mate. However, Michael doesn't know how to communicate with Chloe and everything he does seems to have the opposite effect tearing them apart.
This was one I just could not connect with, did not like Michael at all and felt Chloe could do so much better. I also had a hard time believing Chloe had her act together, she seemed to be independent and trying to find a job tut some of the actions of hers were puzzling. Sounded like a great premise, but was not what I had been hoping for.

This book was bad. Bad dialogue, two dimensional characters and formulaic plot. Bad, bad, bad.

Okay - this is book 4 in Smith's Ashton Grove Werewolves series but I think this is the first I've read / listened to in this series. Overall I thought it was a good read / listen, the storyline was good and the narration was well done too. Our main characters are Chloe and Michael. Chloe is a confusing character for me. She acts like she's this strong independent woman but then everything she does conflicts this persona. Michael is a playboy with no thoughts of settling down until all of a sudden a preggers Chloe shows up and now she's the only one he wants and acts a fool. I found these two characters so wishy washy it was really hard to root for their HEA - and maybe that was the point. Supporting characters seemed so much more down to earth and reliable. All that said, I really couldn't stop listening to this read cause I wanted to find out which way Chloe's affections would end up in the love triangle she made for herself. Looking forward to seeing how supportive character Ramsey will find his HEA after being heart hurt...

This is my first book from this author. I am not impressed. There is a love triangle. The heroine chose the wrong guy! I won't tell you which one. I don't do spoilers. But I was so disappointed.
There is not much werewolf activity in this story. And that's ok with me.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from Story Origin. I really like this narrator. She adds alot to the story. Even her male voices are done very well.
3 stars for the story. 5 stars for the narrator.

We finally get Michael’s story. He was a little frustrating but when he actually steps up, he does it in great fashion. Poor Chloe, she went through so much but at least she got a happily ever after. This was a fun and entertaining story. I enjoyed every single moment of this story.

These stories get more magical and mysterious the more of them you read. A great way to escape everyday drudgery!

Problems with this book:
1) I got tired of reading that the heroine was going to get her purse. She did this either one or twice each chapter. I myself just automatically go for my purse even if I leaving with them.
2) She was pregnant by Michael in a 2 week affair and does not tell him until she let go from her job, loses her car and gets evicted from her apartment. Note: She moved to this town where she had no family or friends in. Then she goes looking for a man who she knows who can not keep his male organ in his pants. She loves him???
3) Moves in with Michael. It goes bad - read the book for what went on.
4) She then moves elsewhere for a few days when she started sleeping with another man named Ramsey. They start a relationship where now she loves Ramsey not Michael. She falls out of love with Ramsey when he has to leave her to do something to help another pack.
5) Because she thought that Ramsey did not love her, she ends up getting MARRIED to Michael who after he learned she was pregnant continued to sleep with other women. I did not see any change in Michael regarding his actions nor in the way he treated her. He kept saying that he wanted to change and he did not.
I can only hope that things go better with the other books as she plans to write another 4 for a total of 8. As this one is the 3rd in the series and as of the time I wrote this review number 4 is out.

Ok i flipped through the book from 85% on. What the heck was going on. She is in love with one two days later she is in love with second sleeping with second. 2 weeks later she is married to one,in love with him and has forgotten about two. WTF. Then two goes to collect someone who he thinks he will marry. WTF. This all happens in the space of 1 maybe 2 months.

Chloe is in a lot of trouble. She is pregnant, just got fired and is headed to tell her baby's daddy that she is pregnant. The problem is that Micheal is the baby's daddy. He is irresponsible and afraid of commitment. Will he man up and do what is suppose to and marry the woman he loves and take care of his baby or will someone else step in and take care of her? This book is full of raw emotion and drama. It is a great read!

I think I liked the book overall. There were some glitches. But it kinda worked. I wasn't sure that the ending was what was best or what i would have wished.
