I love Kaede's family! I need volume 8 after that ending. Also, we now know about Kaede's past. Very interesting. Curious to see how that gets resolved especially with Ah-kun's actions. Hinana's past is intriguing as well. I just love these! 5 stars.

I enjoyed this chapter for showing us more about Kaede's past and his family. To be honest, his family was COMPLETELY different from what I expected and I'm actually glad the mangaka decided to write them that way :) I'm also looking forward to know more about Hinana's past now that we learned about Kaede's.
For the cons, I honestly hated the whole Mitsuki/Akira deal thing. It just made my blood boil and frankly, I thought it was kinda corny. But at the same time I guess we needed to have some sort of conflict for the story to move ahead so 🤷🏻♂️
I'm excited to see what will happen next and how the story will go from there. I really dislike Mitsuki and I really wish to see his issue with Kaede to be resolved. It is what it is though. 🤷🏻♂️

*inhale* *exhale* Okay everyone, here's the deal.
The drama surrounding Ayase and Funny Bone that has been foreshadowed throughout the series? Yeah, I predicted what it was and I was right. Not because it was super obvious in terms of the story, but because once I put some brain cells together and remembered every piece of fucking fiction I've ever absorbed, the drama became pretty obvious. However, in the interest of not spoiling it for others, all I will say is that both Ayase and the other members of Funny Bone acted selfishly and while I understand why Funny Bone hates Ayase so much, but quite frankly blaming the tragedy on him is pretty fucked-up. Anyway, that's all I'm going to say on that topic, moving on.
Despite how easily I could predict what the drama/tragedy was, I still really enjoyed this volume for two main reasons: meeting Ayase's family and seeing their interactions with him and Hinana and Hinana spending the holidays with Ayase and Suzu. I truly do love Ayase and Hinana's relationship and I rejoice every single fucking time I get to see them together. It was nice seeing Suzu's perspective of their relationship and I loved seeing all three of them together.
Ah-chan working with Mitsuki didn't surprise me and Mitsuki's method of getting Ah-chan to help him was almost laughable, it was so predictable. Maybe later down the line I'll discuss in more detail how predictable this story is and why I still enjoy despite its predictability, but for now I'll keep quiet.
The drama and stakes are really ramping up, what will happen to my beloved couple in the next volume?!

I'm still hanging in there with this series. It's not ground-breaking, but it has lovely art and finally getting into character back story.

Today's post is on Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight, vol 7 by Rin Mikimoto. It is 200 pages long and is published by Kodansha Comics. As it is the seventh in the long running series, you need to have read the first sex volumes to understand the story. The cover has the two main characters on it, looking cute in pjs. There is no foul language, mild sexuality, and mild violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of the two main characters. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

With Mitsuki constantly threatening to ruin everything Kaede loves, Kaede has decided it's time for Hinana to learn the truth. When Kaede whos up at Hinana's door, he's prepared to tell her all the terrible things he did to Funny Bone. But will this really make Hinana and Kaede's bond stronger? When their relationship is tested by Misuki's onslaughts, Kaede may be pushed to take more drastic measures!
Review- Kaede tells Hinana what happened in his past with the guys from Funny Bone and tragic loss that they all had. They went to the same school and wanted to climb to the stop together. But Kaede discovered that he loved acting more than singing and when he told the group, they had a big fallout. Hinana understands Kaede more now and they are trying to grow together. Of course that doesn't stop his old bandmate from continuing to try and ruin their relationship. The volume ends on a cliffhanger with Hinana's mother discovering that she is dating Kaede. This series continues to impress me with how it handles hard topics and still be funny and cute. I am looking forward to the next volume.
I give this volume a Four out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

In questo volume succedono un bel po' di cose, compreso un colpo di scena finale che potrebbe cambiare le carte in tavola. Andiamo con ordine:
- il passato di Kaede. Allora, fortunatamente non si è rivelata essere una minchieria, però mi è sembrato tutto troppo esagerato. Nelle prime pagine, Kaede stesso racconta del suo primo incontro con quelli che sarebbero diventati poi i Funny Bone - un gruppo in origine composto non da cinque, ma bensì da sei ragazzi -, i motivi del suo allontanamento e del perché sia stato chiamato "assassino" dai suoi ex compagni. Continuo a credere che i Funny Bone dovrebbero darsi una calmata e abbassare la cresta;
- l'incontro tra Aki e Mitsuki (incontro a cui in realtà sarebbe dovuta andare Hinana), con il primo che si farà convincere dal secondo a fare una cazzata immane in nome dei suoi sentimenti per la ragazza. Bravo pollo;
- arriva il Natale, che Hinana passa a casa di Kaede insieme alla sorellina: momento famiglia del Mulino e glicemia a mille - almeno finché Aki non fa la sua minchiata;
- l'inizio del nuovo anno segna un altro momento importante per la coppia, visto che Hinana va a conoscere la famiglia del fidanzato e questo la spinge a riflettere sulla sua situazione familiare e fare una piccolissima rivelazione sulla sua passione per il pianoforte - questione che deve essere chiarita al più presto.
Come detto, il volume si chiude con un colpo di scena, visto che si aggiunge un'altra persona alla lista di quanti sono a conoscenza della relazione tra Kaede e Hinana. E questo qualcuno potrebbe avere qualcosa da ridire sulla faccenda.

In den einzelnen Bänden passiert eigentlich nicht wirklich viel und auch die Enthüllung von Kaedes großem Geheimnis, das am Ende von Band 6 angeteasert und mich gespannt zurückgelassen hat, war unspektakulärer als ich gedacht habe, nichtsdestotrotz mag ich diese Reihe. Sie reißt mich zwar nicht ganz so mit, wie es andere Reihen tun, aber ich bin doch neugierig wie es weitergeht. Außerdem finde ich Hinana und Kaede sehr süß. Hoffentlich schaffen die beiden es auch weiterhin die Hindernisse, die immer wieder auftauchen, zu überwinden.

I picked up the first of the series on kindle unlimited to check it out and ended up reading the entire series ending up staying late to finish. I just loved the idea for this one the celebrity and the high school girl just works. I love that they both grew so much over the course of the series. This is a quick fast paced sweet whirlwind romance. I'm going to need these for my collection. I was super sad to see the series end but I'm so glad that I got a happy ever after. It's a beautiful story with equally beautiful artwork.

A-chan, you disappoint me.. Okay, he was blackmailed by Mitsuki, but still. I don’t know where this will go now with Hinana’s mother … The rest of the volume though was really sweet. I’m glad Ayase told Hinana about her past - and honestly, I don’t think it’s his fault and that the other band members just needed someone to blame - but I do hope, Hinana also opens up to him soon (at least a bit more). Ayase’s jealousy was so funny though. And their New Year’s trip was also really heart-warming.

Ma che belle che sono le copertine! Questa di loro due in pigiama e pronti per andare a nanna è tenerissima!
Si scopre il passato di Kaede e di cosa è successo con i Funny Bone ma quello di Hinana rimane ancora misterioso. Soprattutto il suo rapporto con il pianoforte. La giornata di Natale è proprio speciale per Suzu. E alla fine, Hinana conosce anche la famiglia di Kaede.

Il passato di Kaede e i suoi problemi con i Funny Bone sono stati rivelati. Hina come reagirà a questa storia? Kaede si è aperto a lei e lei stessa sente di dover fare altrettanto con la storia della sua famiglia e il suo rapporto con il pianoforte. Ma questa parte è solo accennata con nuovi piccoli particolari e credo che sarà maggiormente approfondita nei successivi volumi (almeno spero, è quasi ora ormai!). Il resto del volume si concentra sul Natale che Kaede festeggia con Hina e la sorellina Suzu, per poi passare al Capodanno che la ragazza passerà invece con la famiglia di Kaede scoprendo un altro lato inedito del ragazzo e facendo confronti con la sua famiglia. Ma vi pare che nel mentre Mitsuki se ne starà tranquillo? Certo che no! E anzi riuscirà a coinvolgere pure Akira che, per proteggere Hina, è disposto a tutto o quasi... Peccato che così facendo dia una mano a Mitsuki che vuole far soffrire i due ragazzi... Insomma scontato ma appassionante perché fino all'ultimo non si è sicuri di cosa sceglierà Akira e il piano di Mitsuki, beh diciamo che non riesco a fidarmi delle sue parole... Ho trovato alquanto scioccante il finale del volume e voglio vedere che accadrà nel successivo che credo appunto si concentrerà molto su Hina e il suo passato.
