Does God care about our hurts and heartaches? Can He ever make something good out of our messed up lives?

Evelyn Christenson reveals how God wants to be intimately involved in our daily lives--if we will draw near Him. What an exchange He gives us! The author uses numerous examples from her own experience, as well as His work in the lives of those who pursue Him.

I first read this book in 1973 when I was learning to walk with God and trust Him. I've read this boot at least twice since--and each time I've experienced God's providence and loving kindness. The author supports her assertions with Scripture.

God gives in proportion to the need. He is always "there" but sometimes can be "more near" particularly during tragedy and this idea is Biblical. How this can be the way bigger gain that what you've lost. I can attest to this, and I'm trying to remind myself of it every day ... I miss my mama.
