I've been a Elvis fan for years and have had this book for years. I decided to re-read it to see if it was worth keeping. It's definitely going back on my shelf. A complete delight to rediscover things I'd forgotten. I even managed to narrow down the venue of a gig I went to in 1983 to one of two - Hammersmith Odeon or Hammersmith Palais. I discovered that one of my favourite songs - Sad About Girls - was written by Steve Nieve and Fay Hart. Things I could have googled but so nostalgic to read about them in a book from 1986. Every page made me smile.

It is always fascinating to learn about the life of people that you only know from the body of their work.
