Probationary firefighter, Mason Treadway, spent nine months getting over Abbie Hayes. They were friends during and after high school, but he never worked up the courage to profess his love. Then Abbie met Guy Anderson. When she accepted his proposal, Mason severed their friendship. It was torture to watch her be happy with someone else. So when Abbie reappears in Mason’s life, needing a temporary place to stay, he offers up his apartment. But will he come to regret his generosity? Or will this be an opportunity to reconnect with Abbie and give him a second chance?
Abbie Hayes is a nursing student, hoping to set a wedding date with her fiancé. After helping her dad with stroke rehabilitation, he sells his house, and Abbie Hayes needs a new place to live. But when her dad moves into a 55+ community, she’s not allowed to live there. She could move in with fiancé Guy Anderson, but she’s saving herself for her wedding night. So when she runs into old friend, Mason Treadway, and he invites her to move in, she decides to do it. But will living with Mason cause problems in her current relationship? Mason works for the fire station # 13 and he has been in love with Abbie who is his best friend for years but when she excepts a marriage proposal from another man so he decides to walk away even though he misses her so much. Abbie can not understand why Mason walked away from her and he is not answering her messages or calls and all she knows is that she misses him so much. Will Abbie come to her senses in time to realise that she has feelings for Mason or will she make a mistake and marry Guy missing out on the person that she should be with. Wow i really loved this book and i had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next. Susan Oloier is a brilliant author and writer and i recommend you read this book and others by her as they are real page turners and worth reading.
