This one was really hard to read, and honestly, I didn't finish it. First of all its about two high schoolers, and that's just sad. I know there are lots of pregnancies during this time in kids lives, but this story was ridiculous. The writer also couldn't keep his facts straight. One minute Liam had left Adele outside the drugstore and the next chapter they were talking about him abandoning her at the clinic for an abortion. WTF. Then Ruby appears and suddenly everyone knows her. But my absolute favorite was when Adele's best friend goes shopping with Adele and her mom and all of a sudden Chantel is being called moms best friend. This has to be one of the worst books I have ever read. It just rambles on and on and on about nothing. I will definitely look out for Ted Evans name and avoid it at all costs.
Not sure whether it was the.WAY this writer phrases and delivers dialogue -- whatever it is, it all sounds blah. Furthermore, since this is fiction, why are the main characters not the ones who have great things.happening for them? Sure, in reality, this is what actually happens to people who get knocked up in high school, but, we read fiction to escape reality, not just read.more a it. Therefore, this book is an epic fail. Aside from Liam getting stuck NOT playing college ball, and choosing to stick with Adele and his baby instead after foregoing his big college plans for a smaller college close by, the writer needed to make this story a bit more exciting. It was like watching paint dry.
This book starts at the beginning of when Liam and Adele begin to date, they make a mistake and after Liam matures and takes some responsibility for his acts, love blooms. The story follows their years in college as husband and wife, then onto the years that Liam goes to law school. After several ups and downs in their marriage, they realize how strongly their love for each other overcomes any problem that they may have. This author is a new to me author but I now want to read more of his books.
From Stepbrother to Daddy 1-7 (Only You) by Ted Evan
This is the story of Adele and Liem. Adele has a crush on liem, he was her first kiss. Adele's mom is dating Liem's dad. It is a very sweet love story. This book was so hard to put down. I really enjoyed this story. This is the first book I have read of Ted Evan and hope to read some more of his books. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review.
I thought this one was going to be a good book because it sounded good but it was a let down. The more I read the more I just didn't find it believable, I did finish it because I wanted to know how it eneded and the ending was not good. After four years, he leaves to go to college and they are having marriage problems and never settles the problems and the next it's three years later.
I really liked this story. Liam and Adele are a cute couple and are attracted to each other for a while before they do anything about it. Next thing there is a baby on the way, and their patents are marrying each other. This story runs a span of seven years and even though there are a few inconsistencies, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I couldn’t even finish it. Author couldn’t keep the facts straight in this story line and it never once progressed with anything close to normal. I get that it’s a romance but this just jumps from unrealistic moment and interaction to the next unrealistic moment and interaction. Not worth the confusion.
I don’t know how to feel it didn’t suck me in like I wanted it too but I liked the characters but it was a little juvenile which I get they just graduated high school. But I don’t know I say read it and you might feel differently but it just wasn’t for me.
Ted is the third author that has made me cry when reading a book. I don't seem to find authors that hit my soft spots but Ted did, I would read this again and recommend this book to friends.
