I'm glad to see that this is once again available in e-book form (Amazon or Smashwords) for just $0.99. I picked this story up in hardcover from a street sale years ago. The title caught my eye, and when I read the jacket copy, I was even more intrigued. The best word to describe this (even though it's overused) is "gonzo". It was very funny and the San Francisco atmosphere was rich. McCann was a memorably nasty rogue cop.
