This brightly colored board book is geared towards getting kids excited over doing things in the park, at the gym, in the snow, at the beach and outdoor activities in the neighborhood. The characters are shown having a great time doing a number of different activities in each of the settings with roughly 8-10 flaps per setting that shows action or completion of an activity. The flaps are nicely stiff and should stand up to a lot of handling.

There's so much going on in the pages that I don't anticipate any problems with the kids coming back to them and finding something new each time. And while this isn't a story to read, the book offers a great way to let you or your child get creative with inventing short stories about the characters or your child doing the activity. It also tells the kids to pretend they are doing things like kicking a ball and scoring a goal. Of course taking them out to do the activities will be a lot of fun as well.

The book is geared towards toddlers, although the reading age is listed as 4 - 8. This is a book the kids will have around for a number of years and even a 4 or 5 year-old can still enjoy it.

Not much of a story here, but lots of flaps to flip and our 3 yr old loves all the pictures of activities and sports.
