I've always loved books, especially about monsters and magic, so I started writing. I'm working on a prequel and the next few books in the Others of Edenton series, and I have a head full of stories to share.

I'm a stay at home mother with a wonderful husband who lets me write and write to my hearts content.

When The Dove Calls....

Man do I love this series, not one of the books has been the same although you see all the same characters leading them to the same goals, but in different ways. There are so many different types of others in the series and I love it. This is about the legendary love story of Dove and Hawk told among the tribes at Wantoga, but it is also a true story that has been passed down by a father to his 2 year old baby daughter, now a 22 year old traveling like a nomad all around the country trying to decipher her fathers journals.... He always called her his little Dove and now she arrives at her final destination, Wanatoga where locations in her fathers journals exist

Fate has a way of bringing souls together and Jacinda knew when she was 2 years old that the 12 year old boy who held her in his arms would be hers one day. Jacinda is a very powerful mixed blood almost extinct because of the ignorance and fear of others, her father always told her that she would rid them of the evil that lurks. and he died doing so.

Chatan has lived all his life feeling less than all his siblings, his magic ever was shifting to his spirit animals Hawk and a Husky. He doesn't remember that 2 year old that kept holding on to him as a boy, but when his Hawk sees the beautiful redhead, the pull to her is too strong. He must keep her on the reservation in order to protect her as much as his limited magic will allow. He doesn't know that the mysterious Jacinda holds the key to making him feel his full potential.

Loads of magic, I can't wait to read the next book about Chatan and Jacinda.

Wow! I just discovered that more Others exist in a place of magic, the Wanatoga reservation where Jacinda meets Chatan and takes us all on a dangerous and exciting journey as they find romance and go up against a formidable foe.

While all the new characters and previous characters are strong, compelling and easily draw you into their world, Jacinda and Chatan are the hero and heroine in Finding Hawk which is the third book in the Branches of Emrys series and they charismatic and courageous and their story is so very exciting. Their romance is sweet but full of issues that stem from emotional turbulence and an evil foe that has colored Jacinda’s past making her reluctant to let anyone in her life much less someone that feels so connected to. The chemistry between Jacinda and Chatan is undeniable and the attraction burns hot from every page but this relationship is one that keeps readers in suspense throughout the story.

The fast paced and undeniably thrilling story practically vibrates energy from every page as it keeps readers glued to the pages not only because of Jacinda and Chatan’s budding romance but Jacinda’s journey to defeat one foe has brought her to the attention of one an enemy that Chatan and his family has been trying to put an end to, so there are plenty of twists and turns to keep readers on their toes. And that’s not to mention all the intriguing magical events that help Jacinda discover more about her destiny and the fight ahead of her.

Okay, I have to tell you that this part of Chatan and Jacinda’s story ends with quite a spectacular battle and a nightmare but their complete story doesn’t end here so now I am on my way to read the next part of their story, Chasing Dove…I am so excited.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Finding Hawk is the third book of the Branches of Emrys series. This is Jacinda and Chatan story and the mystery of Hawk and Dove.

Jacinda is on a mission to uncover the clues left behind by her father hoping to find how to stop Thanatos who is out for her family. She finds herself stopping at a diner in Saint Morton where she is kidnapped. Jacinda is able to find a way to get out of that trouble and takes refuge in a hotel; the same hotel that is owned by Chatan’s aunt.

Chatan is drawn to Jacinda who convinces her to stay and agrees to show her around while she looks for what it is her dad left her clues for.

Both Jacinda and Chatan keep their secrets close. Jacinda is afraid to stay in one spot fearful Thanatos will find her. Chatan has not felt like he belonged on the reservation or in Edenton where his dad and brothers are.

I enjoy seeing Chatan break down some of Jacinda’s walls and seeing her fall for Chanton. One of my favorite things is seeing the characters of Brandy’s other series she has a way of intertwining her characters from each series. I am so looking forward to Chasing Dove because Brandy left us on a little cliffy and I need to find out the ending of Chatan and Jacinda’s story.

A few of my favorite quotes:

Something you need to accept is that you may never find the answers. When you find love, you should hold on, no matter what. Especially if they are willing to follow you. Love you, dove. Good luck with Chatan.

Chatan already knew he was playing with fire. He couldn’t fucking well help it either. Nothing worth having wasn’t worth fighting for. And maybe she needed to be shown what he wanted.

This is the first book of what promises to be a fantastic duet. Brandy L. Rivers has outdone herself with this story. I really love Jacinda and her amalgam of powers. So interesting.

Jacinda and Chatan, I can’t wait to see how the rest of this story plays out. I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens with Chatan as he comes into his powers, I have a feeling he is so much stonger than ANYONE could have guessed.

Will Jacinda find a way to defeat the monster that has been destroying her family for centuries? Will she need Chatan's help?

I have read almost all, if not all of author Brandy L. Rivers books and each time I say that it is the best one yet or that it is my new favorite, but this time I really, really, really mean it!! She did an amazing job with this book - the characters are complex, the plot is so twisted, it turns, loops, curves and finally when the reader thinks they have an idea of what will happen next, there is another belly dropping bump. It makes the reader want to be a part of the world that she creates and it is a sad moment when the book ends and the reader realizes that they are back in their everyday lives.

This is labeled as book 3 in the series, but a reader could start here and be perfectly fine. This book introduces us to Jacinda and Chatan as well as give us a glimpse of some of our favorite characters from previous books and other series...she gives the reader the everything they never knew they needed....hello, Preston and Robert...

The characters find themselves trying to solve the mystery of Hawk and Dove from many, many years ago and they use a lot of powers, people and ancient clues to try and figure it out. The book does leave the reader with a minor cliff-hanger, but not one in which you curse the author and vow to never again read their books. I have faith that the author will satisfy the reader's curiosity sooner rather than later.

If you haven't entered the world that author Brandy L. Rivers creates than you are missing out on something amazing! Do yourself a favor and get one of her books NOW! But be warned that you won't want to stop with just one book - you will want to read them ALL!! Sit back and enjoy this one and all of her others, they are that good!

Jacinda lost her father when she was two years old and for safety reasons, her and her mother separated when she was sixteen. Now she moves around like a nomad with her father’s journal, his hawk pendant and a small box of her possessions in her car. She has finally come to the one place that supposedly holds the key to stopping Thanatos. Chatan is more than he appears but after being told you can’t do something by enough people, even those that love you and are family, you’ll start to believe it. Others are disappearing in their small town and they believe they know who is responsible for them, but they need proof. One night Jacinda turns up and is kidnapped, only to free herself. She meets Chatan on the reservation and everything starts to unfold and pieces of the puzzle come together the longer they get to know each other!

Such a great story and I can’t wait to find out how it all ends for Chatan and Jacinda:) I’d also like to thank Brandy for the advanced copy and I willingly leave my review! A story not to be missed but be aware it is a duet.

Finding Hawk, is the third book in the Branches of Emrys series by Brandy L River. In this installment she tells the story of Jacinda. Jacinda, is an Other like no other. Her mixed heritage has allowed her to have numerous types of powers, making her extremely powerful and hunted. Armed with the knowledge of her father’s journal she heads to the reservation in an attempt to stop the evil that is hunting her family. While on patrol Chatan, spots Jacinda. But before he could stop an attack on her she escapes. Chatan and Jacinda have an attraction to each other that neither can deny. But before they can explore their feelings for one another they must solve the puzzle left to Jacinda by her father.

I really liked this book! The story of Hawk and Dove will keep the reader’s attention. Jacinda’s and Chatan’s characters are well written and enjoyable. The characters are likeable, strong and have good chemistry. This story was left with a cliffhanger but that is okay! The next book will be releasing soon!

Jacinda has been trying to complete the quest her father has set her on prior his death. She has been on her own trying to figure out how to stop Thanatos from killing the women in her mother’s family.

Stopping in Saint Morton got gas was Jacinda’s mistake because now she is on the radar of Josephine who needs to take magic in order to stay alive.

Chatan sees Jacinda and knows he has found his other half. Now to convince her to stay with him. Jacinda is at Wanatoga Reservation to figure the riddle her father has in his journal. Her time is running out she know Thanatos is getting close again.

Using Chatan as bait the elders think this is the best way too stop Josephine once and for all. Jacinda was able to finally put an end to her. Can her and Chatan have a future? She is sure this can’t happen until Thanatos is stopped so leaves Chatan for his own good. Can’t wait for the Finding Dove!!

Another fantastic story that has come from Brandy L Rivers, thank you so much for giving us a story as this one.

Jacinda journeyed to Wanatoga based on the the journal her Father left her,so she can stop the evil that is hunting her blood line, but somehow manages to get into trouble.
Chatan is on watch to be able to prove of the murders going on, but is attracted to Jacinda, as he watches Josephine's goons capture her and before he can move she makes a move and escapes.

She doesn’t run far, but goes directly to the nearest Motel, and somehow manages to stay there and that he will help her. Her escape only frustrates Josephine who hasn’t given up on capturing the powerful caster who got away.
This a story that draws you in and with every page you wonder what will happen, read it if you want to find out what is happening.

This series just keeps getting better as it keeps evolving. It's so refreshing to see that it's not stuck around the same characters and plot, but having known faces show up also gives the story nice twists. Jacinda and Chatan's story is full of magic, passion and tenderness. Their newfound love is put to the test against dark forces. They'll have to learn to trust one another and themselves giving the reader a tale of true love, learning and carrying out your lives mission and unleashing the power within. Can't wait to read rest of their story, they quickly won me over and I feel they are my favorite couple within the series.

Hiding in plain sight...

Fast paced story of magic, evil, and soul mates. The wander and the dependable worrier meet and are instantly drawn. But they are so different, follow along with them as they slowly open up to each other. And now a bit about the story...

Jacinda is searching for answers to the puzzles in his journal. Her search leads her to the Wanatoga Reservation. Chatan, one of the locals, watches as the resident brainless try to abduct her. Using as little power as possible she escapes and find her way to the reservation where the puzzle solving begins. Can she solve them before the person after her, finds her?

Favorite passages:
- An hour passed with her in his arms. He could have sat there forever, but someone would have come looking eventually.
- Chatan never mastered anything useful.

Note: I was given a free copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

What happens when a strong willed woman meets a man that just wants her to open up?
I fell in love with Jace she is someone that I would want to be like.
Yes she is running from her demons but who isn't? She just needs someone that is willing to run with her and maybe Chartan is that person
Chartan is what I picture the perfect man being like and I would really like it if Ms.Rivers would turn him into a real man and send him my way.
I recommend you read this for so many reasons that I can't even begin to list.

Another great story from the mind of Brandy L Rivers. WARNING: this is a cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers but can put up with it from Ms Rivers......but I can't wait for the next part!
Lots of twists and turns and back story keeps your attention and the characters were great, as always.
I was lucky to receive this book as an ARC to review

Wow another hit

Absolutely loved this one. We learn a little more about the Branches of Emrys and the importance of Jacinda's family line. I always like it when the author can tie in characters from her other series, makes it seem more connected to me and I like the interaction. Can hardly wait for the rest of Jacinda's & Chatan's story.
