In the late 90’s, the e-commerce bubble raised the dreams of a million small-time entrepreneurs to ridiculous heights. In HempAmerika.com, one of these entrepreneurs is Nils Bobgren, a technologically brilliant but emotionally unstable college student who reinvigorates his Uncle Stan’s failing hippie head-shop. When Nils’s e-commerce prowess gains the attention of venture capitalists, how will earth-first sensibilities surivive the promised avalanche of wealth? Is America ready for the “Amazon of weed?”
Michael Ramberg was born and raised in Minnesota, USA. He spent 15 years working as a network administrator for a Minneapolis law firm, writing all the time. For two years, he lived in Mokpo, South Korea, where he taught English in the elementary schools. This experience is the basis for his next novel, coming soon(ish).
His work has appeared in numerous small journals including Rosebud, Bellowing Ark, and Dislocate.
