This book started off great with an interesting set up and I do love the discussion of mental health, Sawyers struggles are not ignored or skipped over. Happy is adorable and very sweet from start to finish, almost wish he stood up for himself more and mischief.

While their first meeting in the club is stunning and they have amazing chemistry, some swwet moments and talks. However sadly due to length of read, the romance lacked depth and didn't see much getting to know one another.

As Sawyer avoids confrontations and keeps busy, spends more time with Happy's dad then him and talking to his brother. Very frustrating amount of lacking communication from both sides as Happy doesn't want to cause upset, so pretends to be perfect and Sawyer feels he isn't worthy of a mate because off his struggles.

I did love the concept of bat shifters, their abilities and physiology were interesting. Also Sawyer being able to breath fire, not much shifting occurs though just mentioned.

Overall enjoyable for a quick read and entertaining aspects, with steam and unique shifter 💕

Quick little read. I know shifters can come in any animal form but Bats, really. But I guess if you can have a Turkey and a dragon 🐉mated why not.

The story was three or four out of five, but the execution was a two at best.
A dragon shifter is depressed and suicidal and leaves home to clear his head.
He encounters a mischievous bat shifter, and the two are mates.
The bat shifter manages to get through to the dragon shifter and cheer him up.
Typos: this was dictated but not much effort was made at cleaning it up. Lots of cases of too that should be to, passed that should be past, a case of reign that should be rein, and another word substitution that baffled me. Many apostrophes are wrong as well. One or two instances of lay that should be lie. Ticks that should be tics. Some commas in the wrong place. In short, a mess.

A good story for Happy as he gets into mischief and finds his mate in the process. I know Sawyer was having a hard time with his mental health but he really needed communication lessons with Happy at the start. I loved Happy's little bat character he's got a fierceness that Sawyer will need.
Chapter 3 is a repeat of book one told in Happy's POV leading them to the Batshit Crazy bar.
Sawyer a dragon shiftier was having a hard time dealing after his parents death. Taking off on his father's motorbike he needs escape.
Happy was living at Nivana Orchards surrounded by the ways that protect its occupants. Happy was a bat shiftier who had a nack for finding trouble. Sneaking out was one of them.

the bat and his dragon

Sawyer was finally taking medication for his depression but he decided to fix his father’s motorcycle and take a road trip. He smelled his mate near a compound so he followed it to a bar and found Happy and were bonded. He helped out at the compound and started talking to Happy about things. Called his brother to come and talk to him because Happy was pregnant and freaked him out. Went back home as he had promised his to be there when she had the baby and they stayed. Good book!

It's nice to see that the author didn't take the easy way out in this book. She didn't have Sawyer's depression and lack of self worth immediately disappear with finding his true mate. Not sure if naming his mate Happy was meant as irony. Or if she's going for a deeper "You can find happiness, even suffering from mental health issues.
Or she just liked the name. With no secret double meaning. Anyhoo, a quick read. With lots of humor.

MM Fated Mates

Finding happy is a well written MM urban fantasy romance about fated mates, strange shifters, Mpreg, and hurt/comfort. TW there are mentions and thought of suizide that has happened in the past and the protagonist is recovering from severe depression. In saying that hurt/comfort trope is very strong and the romance helps them overcome some of their problems. An engaging read. There’s little to no shifter action in their other forms mostly human.

So very good💖

I really enjoyed Sawyer's story, I've been wondering about him since book 1 and whether or not he would be able to claw his way back to his life from before the tragedy. I'm glad he found Happy but I just wish the book were longer, I want the rest of their story (hint hint😎) .

Good quick read

This was a good quick read that had a lot of serious emotional baggage tied to it that the author handled it nicely. I think that Sawyer's family needed to give him a little space to breathe and find himself . He needed to come to grips and realize a few things for himself and get away from the lectures.

I was so happy that Sawyer finally found his sense of peace and happiness once he found his mate, Happy (even though there were a few rough patches to work through). I truly enjoyed all of the characters and the feeling of family. The writing style was excellent and the storyline held my attention from the first page to the last. Outstanding. :D

Great story but it was short

I can get behind a short story but this ended kind of abruptly. We didn't get a conclusion to the pregnancy. I hope their story will continue in the background of another book.

I thought this was a cute short story. Happy was such a fun character and I fell in love with his Papa. I appreciated the fact that dealing with depression is a hard subject whether you are a dragon shifter or not. Good story, loveable characters. Recommend reading.

This book was sweet but the ending came out of nowhere like it all just suddenly stopped. Otherwise it was interesting to see the dynamic between the couple and I loved Happys dads.

good

This was a pretty good book. But I wanted more bat shifting! Bats are adorable! And I wanted more mischief and trouble making. But Sawyer is finding his way.
